"The area of this condo was unaffected by the recent Lahaina Fires. Your visit will help Maui heal and rebuild after the fires. West Maui, has come back to life. Restaurants and shops are opening. The Royal Kahana Resort is located on the west side of Maui, nestled between Ka'anapali and Kapalua. It is a premier oceanfront resort right on Kahana Bay. It is just a short ten-minute drive to the historic whaling town of Lahaina, the many shops and restaurants at Whalers Village Shopping Center in Kaanapali Beach, along with world-class golf at Kapalua Bay.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui's rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

**We make no guarantee that properties adjacent to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic or other guests or neighbors. Any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

We are very pleased with our stay here. The place was spacious and well equipped. We love spending time in the pool, and there is beachfront here as well. We would be glad to stay here again as it was very pleasant and location worked well for us.

I have stayed at this property several times and love the location and access to the beach. I would have totally rated it 5 star however this time around there were a few things that were a bit of an inconvenience. Dont get me wrong. I would stay here over and over again without hesitation and the unit was great. The 2 things that were not up to standard are the air conditioning would not cool the unit below 74 degrees. I called it in and the maintenance guy came out and changed the filter and said all good but it never cooled down. The second complaint was that the tv in the living room did not work. Honestly you are i. Hawaii so tv was not very necessary but it would have been nice to park the kids in front of in the evening. The positives far outweigh the 2 minor negatives. The unit was updated and clean with ample kitchen supplies. The pool was nice and warm and open until 10 pm. Easy access to the bbq's in the pool area. Great location and walkable to many food options nearby. Cant wait to stay here again and i know after talking to the property manager that these small issues will be addressed for the next guests.

The Royal Kahana private room had a great view of Moliki and the ocean. The room was clean and inviting with an unexpected greeting package. The check-in and check-out process was easy. The issues found were bedroom windows not clean, outdoor furniture dirty and direct access to Kahana Beach is dangerous and not allowed due to sand bangs to prevent further erosion. Cost for parking by the Royal Kahana is an add-on to consider. Royal Kahana is responsible for outside work and Maui Realty is responsible for inside work. Damage insurance is also an additional mandatory charge. Overall, a great stay, but added charges and beach issues are things to consider during your stay.

We LOVED this condo. Having the full kitchen and a cooler to take to the beach/pool just steps from our door made it an incredible, relaxing vacation. We saw turtles outside our door every day and did a few excursions but mostly just hung out at this resort and loved it.
