Being located near the center of Kona Kailua helped us get settled quickly with easy access to shops and sea front. Kitchen well equipped, good views and no problems whatsoever. A bonus on Sunday morning was hearing familiar beautiful church music on our balcony from the church below

I stayed for a week in January 2024. Check-in was easy, the instructions were clear, no trouble getting in late at night. The assigned parking place is very close to the elevator. There are a few stairs - four or five - between the elevator and front door of the unit itself on the 4th floor. The layout is comfortable for two people; no bedroom privacy if you were to have an additional guest staying in the living room, as the sliding doors provide incomplete closure, and the hallway is open. The living room furniture is uncomfortable - the day bed/couch has a thin, hard cushion and an unmanageable number of toss pillows we used in an attempt to get comfortable when seated. No other indoor seating is provided except a desk chair and two backless barstools. The bed was comfortable but low to the ground. Ceiling fans were nice to have and the a/c unit was very effective. The kitchen was well equipped - nice sharp knives and a good selection of pots and pans; we cooked most of our breakfasts & dinners at home to minimize expenses. The best part? Breakfast on the lanai (balcony) and watching the sunset from there every evening. Spectacular! True, you don't have ocean-front views - the water is a block away - but you can see & hear the ocean, and you aren't paying ocean-front prices. It was nice to find a couple of beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and snorkeling sets; we did not use them so I am unsure of the condition.

Modest building but clean and well maintained. The apartment had everything you need for a long stay and was perfectly outfitted for us. Neat and tidy. Perfect for active seniors.

Booked the stay 2 months in advance. Was sent the check-in instructions 48 hours prior to arrival. 24 hours prior to check-in, the host canceled the booking and said the ongoing renovations were taking longer than expected. (Was never mentioned on the booking page by the way). We landed on Hawaii Island at 10pm on the night we had to check into this property without a place to stay. The host SHOULD have been able to foresee any construction delays and canceled much sooner. 24 hours prior is essentially incompetence. Buyer beware.

Great location for walking around Kona town. It had all the necessary amenities. Although when we first arrived, there was no toilet paper, but we reached out to the property manager and they brought some up to us promptly and also gave us some macadamia nuts for the inconvenience. Overall, it was exactly what we needed for our stay. Plus it was an adorable little place with a spectacular view. 10/10 recommended 🤩

Wonderful location for exploring the Big Island with great access on Kuakini Hwy and walking distance to everything in the town of Kona. Assigned parking spot a plus together with having a secured (keyed) elevator. The employees of the host (First Island Realty) are very responsive and helpful. This unit is perfect to take in the sites and sounds of Kona and the Big Island.

Overall, we were REALLY disappointed with this unit. First, the good: it is in a great location within walking distance to all of Kona town, the kitchen was well-stocked, the view and sunsets were GREAT from the balcony (though as other reviews have mentioned, you do look across the parking lot of a church), and the property management correspondence and people were great and super responsive. Unfortunately, we had to communicate with the property management due to a couple of unacceptable issues. The first issue we experienced was that the bathtub filled up with dirty water, hair, etc from somewhere one afternoon while we were gone. This caused us to not be able to use our shower for ~36 hours. As mentioned above, the prop manger was very responsive and understanding, and they did find a unit in a nearby building to use temporarily, but it was definitely a hassle we didn't want to deal with (and was very disgusting to see and smell). The other BIG issue is that the owner of the adjacent unit (next to this unit's bedroom) has a small dog that barked constantly between the hours of midnight and 1:00 am. The on-site manager said this is an ongoing issue they deal with, which was frustrating to hear since no other reviews had mentioned this. Based only on those two issues, we would never stay at this unit again. Also problematic was that the internet was basically not usable due to how slow it was, and the linens in the bathroom were old and should have been replaced before now. So, if you don't mind possible plumbing issues during your stay, and you don't mind barking dogs in the middle of the night right next to the bedroom, this unit might work for you. For everyone else, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I do want to stress again, though, how good the property management company (First Island Realty) was, since they did everything in their power to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, the problems are unit-specific and not things they could control.

The property was ok carpet needs cleaning or replacing but everything else looked like it was updated recently. The unit is not in a good area of town which we didn't know until we got there sort of scary but no problems.

Great location - walking distance to everything in Kona! Beautiful condo! Everything seemed brand new. Gorgeous view ! Fully stocked kitchen. Might be nice to have a couple bar stools at the island, plus a comfie sitting chair. Thoroughly loved our stay! :)
