Grandparents, parents and grandkids spent two weeks at this perfect condo. The upstairs loft with pull out couch proved to be a perfect solution and gave everyone enough space. The lanai provided a great view of the sunset and the pool area. We would all definitely stay here again.

Hale Kamaole itself is a great location opposite Kam 3 beach. The on-site staff are exceptional and the grounds and facilities are very very well maintained. Security is good too. The unit's coffee machine died while we were there, it was quite old, and a replacement arrived with a smile the same day :)The Unit #264 itself has a great view and is well located in the complex. It is a unit that is known not to be updated and is priced accordingly. It is comfortable in its layout with the living/dining room furniture being just fine. The Master Bedroom upstairs is adequate. Again the bathroom is not updated but this is known. It is clean. The sheets were fine but I suggest replacing all the pillows and the quilted coverlet and shams. The pillows are stained. The coverlet and matching king shams are pilled and in fact I found a few stains. The coverlet and shams have had their day. Bathroom towels were nice.There were only 3 beach towels in the unit and each was either worn, stained or had holes. We bought 2 and took them home as we had a golf bag with us. I suggest ensuring there are 6 new beach towels in the unit as the unit advertises it sleeps 6 people.The twin bedroom is nice and the bathroom outside that is semi-updated. Again clean with nice towels.The kitchen is original. The appliances are not new but work fine. The seal on the freezer is going but it does still work. I suggest replacing all 3 "non-stick" frying pans with at least 1 or 2 new ones. They are worn, scratched and just not nice to use. I didn't ask for that while there but thought to mention in this review. There was new cutlery in the kitchen and that was nice. The rest of the kitchen implements were fine. Maybe new tea towels would be in order. Again the ones there are pretty worn.Again the onsite staff and common facilities are exceptional. While this unit is dated it is a great location and view.

This was a great unit! Fully stocked, and had everything we needed! Great view - lots of whale sightings during my morning coffee on the lanai. The space was a lot bigger than we expected, and had plenty of room for our family of 5. Highly recommend! This was our first stay at Hale Kamaole, and the property came with rave reviews from others. We loved the location, beach access, pool area, and the grounds. Staff were extremely helpful, although we didn’t need much! Kamaole III across the street was great! Some nice boogie boarding for the kids, and so many turtles!! Was a convenient location for us to explore other parts of the island as well.

Whilst a little dated this unit is very clean and has good amenities. Location is greta for access to Kamaole #3 and its walk of a few hundred metres to the closest group of shops. This stay for a family of 4 + grandma so we utilised the pull-out on the mezzanine.

We enjoyed our stay in Hale Kamaole 264. Although the furnishings are dated, the condo was clean and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed to have a relaxing vacation. The king bed in the master bedroom is comfortable. It is an easy walk from the condo to nice beaches. The communal BBQs are very well attended to by the property management, cleaned thoroughly each day.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything we could have needed was in the place so we didn’t have to waste money on buying basic supplies for the kitchen. The property was clean, the view was good and it was great to be across from Kamaole III for swimming and sun sets. It would have been nice to be a little closer to more restaurants and shops but we would definitely stay there again. We had one issue when the air conditioning unit wasn’t turning on but they were there to fix it in less than five minutes after we reported it to the office.

I love the Hale Kamaole complex, and have stayed there a number of times. Its location on Maui is ideal, and its proximity to a great beach and its casual feel make a very relaxing place to stay. Some units are better appointed than others; the unit we stayed in this year (264) was the least well appointed unit we have stayed in here, and was pretty bare bones on just about every front. Won't stay in this unit again, but will definitely return to the complex in future years. The unit was poorly cleaned on our arrival, and had no sponges or cleaning products available.

We had a great time at Hale Kamaole!Its close to the beach so anyone wanting to go could just walk.The condo has a great view of the ocean. The only complaint we had was the dishwasher which wouldn't always drain and the shower which had as much water coming out of the spout as the shower head and some water "toys" would be a nice addition.

We've been coming to the Hale Kamaole for almost 30 years and always enjoy our visit. We tried unit 222 for the first time, and found it to be dirty, outdated and poorly equipped so asked to be moved after 1 night.Lisa and the office staff were very gracious and accommodating (thanks very much Lisa!) and relocated us to 264 which we found to be much more typical of our Hale Kamaole experience and expectations. While not as newly renovated as some units we've seen, it was very clean, well equipped and had several extras we appreciated. We would recommend unit 264 and would not hesitate to book it again, however would suggest you avoid unit 222 until the owner decides to invest in their property.

We stayed for 3 weeks in April 2022. We had a great stay and have stayed in a few units at the Hale Kamaole over the years.This unit is in a great location on the property with a good view of the ocean and common space but not noisy at all. Also close to the bbq's and lower pool. The unit was clean when we arrived.It is a unit that has not been updated at all but it is comfortable. The beds and linens were comfortable. The bath, pool and beach towels good too.The only recommendation we have for improvement is to have the door to the laundry close properly, and stay closed even if an extra latch needs to be installed.Also, the cutlery in the kitchen does need to be replaced as there are no dinner sized forks. We did not bring these 2 items to the attention of either the owners or managers during our stay as we believe they can be addressed by the Owners after. The rest of the kitchen was sufficiently kitted out. The on-site management staff are excellent. Very responsive to a couple of quick questions. THey also put us in touch with Julie to organize a bucket list activity for our family.Also the beach chairs that should have been in the unit were not. They quickly and with good nature delivered 4. Much appreciated. Mahalo.

Wonderful staff at Hale Kamaole. High recommended as the place to be. Unit 264 is in need up an update. The kitchen needs a new dishwasher and the carpets need to be replaced. The condo's carpets are quite stained in certain locations. Great location (!) but I do think it is time to do some upgrades to the unit. Nonetheless it was a great to be there and these suggestions aren't meant to be viewed as a real complaint but rather as timely advice. Mahalo!

Have stayed in this unit once before. We only have a few comments. The bedroom on the main floor is in badly need of real beds! There are 2 COTS that are a poor substitute for a real bed. The headboard is not attached and keeps moving and the bottom sheet refuses to stay in place. The kitchen is lacking basic requirements that would not take much to rectify. No can opener, mixing bowl of any kind, proper eating utensils with steak knives, casserole dish of some sort, a cookie sheet to put something in the oven. The owners should have someone look at these things from time to time as are easy fixes. I only mention this to give constructive criticism. I would stay in this unit again.

Horrible and FIlthy unit. Over an inch thick layer of Dust in most places, thousands of Hair strands sticking all over on the shower tub area, filthy toilet bowl that wasn't ever cleaned. Don't even think of turning on the Fans or you will be covered with dust. This unit doesn't look like it was ever cleaned or updated since it was built. I wish I could post pictures and give negative stars.

The unit is right across the street from a fantastic beach where you can snorkel and swim with sea turtles. We decided not to spend on a rental car and the location of the unit makes this possible. Everything was clean and comfortable.

This was a very good vacation rental. It was clean, spacious, the beds were comfortable, and had plenty of towels, the washer and dryer worked well. The location was great, very close to a nice beach and within walking distance of some shops and restaurants. Less than 30 minutes to the airport. Overall we had a great stay.

Our experience wasn't so good, we won't be staying here again. We had issues getting into our unit upon arrival, our code did not work and it took the staff 45 minutes to get us in finally. The unit is very outdated, utensils and basic necessities were lacking. The doors in the unit were off hinges or did not close correctly. Unit was not properly stocked with beach chairs or other beach items. Found 2 cockroaches in the unit during our stay.
