Condo was okay, some minor issues (no light bulb in entrance lamp, only one wash cloth, coffee table & dining table not cleaned (sticky stuff) and master shower soap holder broken. Light bulb & wash cloths was handled. A very minimal credit was given. Bedroom air conditioner great but very noisey. Livingroom a/c not great. only if you sat right next to it then you feel the cool air. Living area with everything closed (doors & drapes) still very very warm.
Mostly did not really appreciate sign on dryer that I needed to wash towels and bedding since a cleaning fee was added in for condo rental. Washed only towels, did not feel that I had to strip bed.
Other than that great location for watching the sunset and walking on the shore and near Kihei shopping centers.

We came to Maui for a company retreat. Several of our employees have never been to Maui before. The location was very perfect and parking was easy. The condo's were exactly what we needed. A little outdated but having kitchens and laundry in the rooms was so helpful. The grounds were beautiful and it was ocean front. Pool was nice and refreshing, always clean. Hot tub was not hot during our stay. they were doing their best to get it fixed though. BBQ's and picnic tables were so helpful so our large group could prepare and enjoy eating together outside on the beautiful lawn. Office staff was friendly and very helpful from the moment we checked in to when we checked out. Even gave us a loaner pool key since we had to check out at 11:00am and our flight did not leave until 9:00pm. So we could enjoy the pool until we left. We really appreciated that!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The room was equipped with everything you need. Even beach towels and snorkel gear. The pool and hot tub were very clean. It’s quiet, slept great. Beds are comfy too. You can’t go wrong!

We have stayed at a few units in Maui Sunset and have seen a number of others through friends. This is not one you should rent, I recommend finding a nicer one for the price. The unit is old and not well maintained, is in badly need of a refresh and lacks a lot of the basic things that would make it a place worth the money. The grounds and location are great and kumilani was great to deal with in the booking process.

This is a great location on the ground floor. Our stay was 6 weeks and overall experience was very good. Kitchen amenities could be improved but it did not have a negative effect on our vacation as we mostly just used the BBQ’s.

Maui Sunset is the perfect location for anything you might want to do on Maui. We love the easy access of the ground floor. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is always welcoming. It is walking distance to grocery stores, great restaurants and best of all Maui Pie, Coconuts, and Fork and Salad. GO. STAY. ENJOY. RELAX.

You can’t be unhappy staying anywhere in Maui, but this spot was perfect for my partner and I. Everything we needed was provided and then some. The unit was clean and tidy and felt like home for our week long visit. The grounds outside are gorgeous, staff is friendly and hard working and the location is just a short walk from tons of shops and food trucks.

The location of this property is awesome. Close to shopping and restaurants, easy access! The grounds are very well maintained and a short walk to the beach and ocean.
The condo itself leaves much to be desired. It is slightly dated, but more importantly it is desperate need of a thorough cleaning and some basic repairs. The condo could also use an update, but that could be overlooked if it was clean.

Maui Sunset is a beautiful, centrally located property on immaculately kept grounds. I was disappointed that this ground-floor unit was so poorly maintained, the worst part was the shag carpet (possibly the original?) that was torn and dirty. The kitchen was poorly stocked, and there wasn't even a hair dryer. It's an inexpensive place to stay on Maui but I feel that it would be worth paying a little more and getting something a little nicer.

The location of the condo was wonderful, the grounds were amazing. The condo was very dated and felt dirty. The corners around the refrigerator had old food. The shower head in the second bath was so short I had to squat to use it and I'm not a tall person. We ended up having to buy foam mattress pads for the hide a bed and the twin because they were so uncomfortable. Won't book this particular unit again but love the Maui Sunset.

We know Maui Sunset because friends live there and we brought our family members. We used 3 units. Unit A105 could use some upgrades. Bathroom fixtures in the bedroom are quite old, maybe original. The faucet set in the bedroom sink needs replacing: tap doesn’t work properly, no stops, hard to set temperature, and the aerator is broken.
