We rented this home for our family vacation; the layout was perfect for us!! The location was ideal.

I’m a retired teacher from Colorado who planned to rendezvous with a cousin and his wife from Australia
to celebrate our 80th birthdays. When other relatives heard of our party plans several were motivated to join the fun. There were 13 individuals who joined the celebration in Kauai so we needed a second home. 7 relatives stayed here at this lovely property which was a short walk to the beach. I thought this an excellent location from which to explore the island. We were constantly on the go, and the time seemed to pass much too quickly. We all had a fabulous time. The home, grounds, pool, and amenities were all first class. I really enjoyed the vegetation surrounding the home. It felt like I was living in a botanical garden.
The proprietor's were very responsive to all our questions.
I highly recommend this island home to friends and relatives.

I could not imagine a more perfect setting for our family getaway!
It was our own private resort , with plenty of room and privacy for 7 adults, plus great kitchen and gathering space for our meals and together time. Surrounded by lush gardens, pool and spa. Dan is a wonderful host, friendly, helpful and very available for help and suggestions.

This is the most beautiful spot we've ever had the pleasure of staying at! The home was so inviting, the pool and outside gardens were gorgeous and gave the feeling we were the only ones on the island. The layout of the house was perfect for our family group of 11. We took our children/spouses and 5 grandchildren (9-14) to our favorite island to see why we love it so. The home was spread out well and accommodated 3 families easily with the separate bungalow for us grandparents. The kitchen was well stocked, Pool and beach toys/chairs, snorkeling gear were all used and appreciated. Kids loved the 3 outdoor showers too - so convenient for getting the sand off. Dan was a terrific host right from the beginning with quick turnaround on questions and assistance. He helped us with small questions several times during our stay - like how to clean the pool filter after "the Maui firestorm" winds which deposited debris in the pool. Location was great with close proximity to Shipwreck and Poipu Beach. Kids loved seeing 7 turtles at one time sunning on Poipu Beach. Pictures and video of this property are so true - everything was beautiful and relaxing for everyone. For over 20 years we have stayed at many great VRBO properties across the US, and this by far exceeds any others. Sorry to tell you how spectacular this property is! We had to book 1-1/2 years ahead to get when we wanted-and now it will be even harder for us to get an open date to revisit! Can't wait to return!

Excellent property with beautiful grounds and outstanding amenities. Plenty of room to spread out, great pool and very close to the beach! This wonderful rental provided more than adequate space for 3 families; a total of 9 people. The furniture was attractive and comfortable with more than enough seating for everyone in common areas. Everything was clean and in good condition. The WiFi was able to handle all guests simultaneously without any glitches. The view from the upper deck afforded a peek at the ocean. This location was a favorite group gathering place for most of our stay.
The property's location has excellent access to many restaurants and shopping.
The garden area was awesome with many small areas that provided seclusion from other areas of the garden. All areas were landscaped with beautiful flowers and foliage.
My grandchildren especially enjoyed the pool.
The air conditioning in each bedroom quickly cooled the room and maintained the selected temperature.
Dan greeted us when we arrived and provided a quick tour of the property with advise on the functionality of some of the appliances. He was genuinely friendly and interested in making our stay enjoyable.
My entire family had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this rental property.

We had read reviews regarding this property and thought they were too good to be true, but our week here was off the charts. The top three features in my opinion: [1] the outdoor area is almost impossible to describe (the pictures on the website don't do it justice), [2] the location is superb, short walk to the beach and the Grand Hyatt, and [3] Dan and Lynette are readily available to solve any minor issues that may arise. The ocean view is minimal, but we probably spent way more time on the property than we would have imagined because the on-site scenery is hard to leave. This was truly a week that we will never forget.

We called this our Legacy Trip. Entire family of 10 covering 3 generations. We relaxed within 30 minutes and kept that vibe the entire stay. Beyond beautiful, a piece of paradise. So much fun and memories created. Each night at dinner we would share what our favorite thing of the day was and on the last day our all time favorite. The house was perfect. We had a 3 year old with adults ranging in age from 41 to 77. For our family it was great. Our son is a chef so we spent nights in cooking with the kitchen perfectly outfitted for cooking/barbequeing. the pool and jacuzzi were clean and functional and the yard area was a showplace! The walk to the beach was a must every morning with the little one. Hikes along the beach trail short drives to other beaches, restaurants etc. The house is great, the owner's are great - absolutely perfect.

We took a 4 family multi-generational trip to Kauai with 8 adults and 5 children the youngest being 9 months. The house was more than perfect giving every family their own space. The pool, spa and garden felt like you were staying at a tropical lagoon. The house was well stocked with essentials. We loved it! Dan is quite the gardener; make sure you check out the banana tree. We booked our stay one year ahead of going. We had no idea of what the house would be like except looking at the photos online. Of course I looked multiple times, trying to get a idea of how this would work out with 12 plus one infant.
We arrived and Dan greeted us with a giant smile! Right away I knew we had booked the perfect spot. Usually pictures can deceive by people using fish eye lenses to make the spaces look bigger! This wasn't the case here. Every part of this house was perfect.
Having such a large group...this includes adult siblings, we weren't sure about how people would be able to "have their space". We spread out everywhere. The pool is big and inviting. We lounged around watching the grandkids swim while others could watch from the above deck looking down. As grandparents, we stayed in the lower bedroom. This allowed the littlest one and the parents to have the ability to wake up early and come visit us. They stayed in the pool house where it was easy to contain late night crying and nap time.
One of the best surprises was walking to the beach and having that giant expanse of green space to play frisbee, watch sunsets and basically run off energy.
Poipu is also such a wonderful location to run to Living Foods for a healthy dinner, grab a puka dog at Brenneckes, Lamberts for ice cream and safe swimming at Poipu beach.

We had such a lovely time. The house is better than pictured! Close to wonderful beaches for swimming, snorkeling, body surfing and castle building. Perfect location and amazing outdoor space. Walking to Poipu beach (.8 mi) and the Hyatt (next door) was so easy. We enjoyed the upstairs deck for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. The beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with MANY essentials - check it out before shopping (especially for seasonings/oils). A little different/odd since 2 bedrooms you have to go outside and downstairs and all the living space/kitchen is upstairs (used to be a B&B) but it was great for our party of 4 couples. The pool area was amazing! Seriously AMAZING. Also we had a couple of hiccups that Dan handled swiftly and thoroughly. All in all SUPER communication with Dan!! We had a private chef come one night and a masseuse come one day. Great space for both those things. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

We were a group of 10. My wife and I had stayed in the cottage when it was a B&B and had loved the place. When it was converted to a rental for 10 we knew that we had just the group. The grounds are amazing with a resort-like garden surrounding the pool. The house is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating areas so that even with a large group, it never felt crowded. It even has two sets of laundry equipment to make washing easy for all. It couldn't have been a better getaway. We're looking forward to doing it again.

Everything was perfect - starting from Dan welcoming us up to the time we had to leave again. We stayed with 3 generations of our family from four different countries and everyone loved it. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. We found all we needed and everything is very well maintained. Some of the lasting memories are the short evening strolls to the beach, seeing the sunset and watching the turtles coming up on the sand for a nap.

Was like staying at our own private spa. Such tranquility! Our large family had an amazing stay. Swam in the pool everyday. Used the hot tub. Cooked meals every night. Walked to Shipwreck Beach. We had such a wonderful time staying here. Dan was very welcoming and very helpful. The house is very comfortable for a large family gathering. The gardens surrounding the house are gorgeous, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a garden oasis. We got to watch the coconut trees get trimmed up, which was pretty cool. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and lots of spices. I would check the kitchen before you go out shopping for something. We loved the fact that that the Hyatt is next door and took advantage of their restaurants and spa. The pool at the house was a great place to relax. Nice house, but some issues need to be addressed. 1. Bungalow had no hot water for two days, because propane tank was empty and was not checked before we got there. (Nothing in renters book about it.) Smoke detectors have been removed from house. 3. Herbie the pool vacuum didn't work very well, always something on bottom of pool .Pump/filter did not clean surface. Someone came to try to adjust it, but still had leaves/flower petals on surface. 4. A coffee maker in the pool master suite would have been nice. 5. Only one tube and a few noodles for the pool--with 8 of us, we had to go out and buy some.

This property is very beautiful! The landscaping makes you feel like you are in your own private oasis, with lush plants and trees all around. The pool and hot tub are well-kept and there is plenty of seating with comfortable lounge chairs. The house is laid out so that a group can be together for meals and socializing, while at the same time providing private spaces for downtime. We were a group of 7 people and we had a wonderful time! Heaven on Earth!!! That sums up this property and this island. Dan is one of the most generous and authentic people I have met. He absolutely emulates the Aloha Spirit. I have to start with Dan. What a gem of a human! From start to finish he was a dream to work with…and our crew had postponed dates due to Covid, airline date changes and Dan was more than accommodating, he was caring, friendly, easy to reach and talk to, and sincerely generous. While on our stay we lucked out and got to meet several family members as well who no doubt got the family gene. All as friendly and warm as could be! Dan welcomed us and even allowed us to drop baggage off early. He gave us a tour to explain everything and the part that stood out most he said, “This is your vacation so I want you to relax and enjoy everything, anything else you need just call Uncle Dan.” We felt spoiled and taken care of. Now, on to the house…. It was more gorgeous than pictures represent. Lush gardens, tropical breezes, wonderful spa and pool, every amenity was thought of and provided. We stayed with 3 generations of our family (ages 4 to 71) and every single person LOVED it! Our trip was unbelievably dreamy and we came home and set a plan to eventual move there one day. Now of only we could find a house as amazing as this one… that would be heaven.

If I could give Dan and his house 10 stars I would. Dan goes above and beyond, he is delightfully welcoming to this slice of Paradise. Our group of 6 (3 pairs of mothers and daughters) had plenty of room to spread out and relax in and out of the house. The kitchen was well equipped and the living spaces were exceptionally comfortable and cozy. The pool and garden were stunningly gorgeous. In fact we spent almost our entire last day relaxing around the pool. This house was a perfect place to spend our last 2 days before departing Kauai. We would definitely stay again, but longer!

Bayview is one of the most beautifully landscaped yards I have ever seen. The property is close to anything that you could possibly want to do or see yet you feel like you are on your own private island. After 3 Covid-caused delays we were finally able to make it to Kauai and our stay at this property. Believe me, it was worth the wait. The house is beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable. The pool and grounds are incredible. And the location is perfect. We loved our early morning wals to the beach and being so close to Poipu - the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling for the kids and watching the turtles come in for the night. Our extended family of 12 had a wonderful time at this tropical paradise, from the lush, beautiful gardens and crystal-clear pool to the lovely accommodations that felt like we had our own private resort! The separate living spaces included a detached ohana that was adorable and a lower level “apartment” allowing for lots of privacy for our large family. We also loved the location, as we could walk right off the property with only a short distance to a number of beautiful beaches, hiking trails, restaurants, etc. Our host, Uncle Dan, was amazing and was readily available if needed. This was an awesome home in a great area-- Especially wonderful was the attentiveness and true caring of Dan from beginning to end. We needed a place for just one night before our flight… so thankful we found this home available! The pool and hot tub were a perfect end to the day, while listening to the luau next door. Excellent location and setup for a family. Very short walk to shipwreck beach (great for even the smallest of kids) and a short drive to other beaches. Many shops and restaurants close as well. The grounds are full of tropical greenery and flowers and it was so lovely to relax by the pool and enjoy the hot tub in the gardens. The house is gorgeous and looks just like a Hawaiian home should look, with natural stone and wood and views all around of the foliage. The location was perfect for us, with a short walk to a beach where we saw a monk seal and hiked on the cliffs. A 5 minute drive to Poipu Beach brought us to a perfectly calm and shallow area for the littlest kids and snorkeling for the older kids and adults. Good shopping is nearby and the road up to the canyon was very handy. Dan was there whenever we needed anything and is a fun relaxed host. We are telling all our friends about our stay and enthusiastically recommending they come here with their families. We hope we can all come again soon. Laura E.

This was a wonderful place to stay. As has been mentioned, the grounds are amazing and inspiring. Dan was very responsive/communicative ahead of and during our visit. The pool was outstanding. It was a very short drive to Poipu, with some of the best snorkeling I've experienced. Also, Shipwreck's beach was a short walk, and the swimming and underwater sea life there was fantastic too--though the ocean was a bit too rough there for the kids to play in. It was overall a refreshing and amazing vacation!

This property was really amazing. I highly recommend it for all types of trips from business to leisure. Our trip was family and the property is spacious enough that no one felt as though there was a lack of privacy even though together for an entire week. The pool is large and refreshing with a jazucci that is quite intimate. Multiple seating areas for relaxing and dining. I echo other reviewers and would suggest not buying spices or alcohol until you've seen what is in the pantry. I slept in the pool room which is essentially a 2 bedroom casita. It is perfect for solo like me or a family with baby that want some privacy from the main house. All of the living quarters were quite lovely. There is nice original art throughout the house. The owners were extremely friendly and accessible. Their neighbor let us in as they were out of town but they were still readily available. Mother Nature awakens you in the morning. Its really hard to describe. Book the property and you will see. I plan on coming back. The street is on a private road that felt very safe. For what to do: It was hard to leave the house and we were there during early November but I do recommend reservations at Stevenson's at the hotel which is a 5 minute walk away and has lovely grounds to grab a drink or lunch if you dont want to cook. I also recommend the plantation luau and free rum tasting near there. For the rum tasting you have to show up when they open to place your name for later that day btw. We drove to Waimea Canyon and explored small towns. Most of the time we relaxed after perhaps one outing in the morning. I went zip lining. (this was just okay) but highly recommend a kayaking trip to the "secret" waterfall.

We have stayed at many rental properties over the years, but this property stands out head and shoulders above the rest. There were 12 of us staying at the property, and we had a marvelous time. The quality of the house and garden (a tropical paradise) were just outstanding, and Dan (the owner, property manager and pool maintenance technician) was just the perfect host. I could not recommend this more as a top quality vacation rental, except to say that it made our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations complete. Thank you Dan.

We had a large group 5 teenage girls 2, 9 year olds , 3 couples , a toddler and infant . Perfect and good separation of space . The teens occupied the terrace suite it was perfect for them . One downstairs room occupied by two 9 year olds was perfect and the other larger bedroom occupied by the family with toddler and infant gave them the space they needed. The bungalow gave a couple a great experience as it was their first time to the island .. actually all guests except 2 were first time visitors and this home made it so tropical! The pool is absolutely fabulous!! Large and deep which made it fun for everyone !
If you a chance to get on the calendar… don’t hesitate . With covid it took us two years to get to enjoy the home and before that I looked at renting this home but it was always booked !!
If you get lucky to book this home you will also experience very gracious hosts ! Dan and Lynette really care about your experience.

Absolutely loved this place. The host was very accommodating and communicative. The house was clean and well stocked and the yard/pool/hot tub is fabulous in addition to close beach access. The bedrooms and layout was perfect for five couples, especially with two having separate entrances and additional privacy. Would highly recommend this place and would return!

We had two families (12 of us)-all children in their 20’s. There were plenty of areas to hang out and not be on top of one another or feel cramped. Pool/hot tub was amazing. Close walk to beach and longer walk to Poipu beach where you can get a snack or have happy hour. Dan was an amazing host and was available for anything we needed. There were plenty of bathroom and cleaning/laundry supplies on hand which was very helpful. Two refrigerators were necessary and nice to have. The extra cabana house was great for our newlyweds.

Great property! The pictures do not do it justice. Great location - close to the beach. The gorgeous landscaping provided privacy with lots of seating areas both by the pool and in the shade. ..beautiful oasis with serene surroundings! You can stay here and enjoy the backyard without going anywhere else on the island. We had 7 adults and 3 kids. Each had their own private sleeping areas. The kitchen was fully stocked with all you need to do your cooking. The view from the living room is fantastic. The patio area has a view of the ocean as well as the downstairs backyard. If you are looking for a great place to stay this is it! Look no further! Dan was responsive to all our questions, was easy to reach and checked in on us several times. A great host! Were sad to leave; hope we get a chance to return one day. Highly recommend Bayview!

We were supposed to celebrate our 50th anniversary last year, but Covid postponed things. With Dan's help we were able to schedule for this year. The ten of us just returned home after a wonderful week on Dan and Lynette's property. The house is great with enough bedrooms and baths for our large group. The kitchen-great room area with an ocean view balcony was perfect for cooking, playing games and listening to our 9yr old grandson give concerts on his ukulele.
The backyard is your personal piece of paradise. Beautiful pool and enough nooks and crannies to keep sun and shade lovers happy.
Dan was great, we adopted him into our family. He took care of any questions we had and gave us helpful tips about the area. We can hardly wait to come back and see him again and meet Lynette.

We loved the property, so richly landscaped and so many nooks and crannies to tuck away into if that's what you prefer and comfortable family areas if gathering is your preference. There's a close and lovely walk to the ocean near the Hyatt or a further and also pretty walk up to Poipu beach.
The house easily accommodated our three households with children--the bungalow and separate bedroom areas each with bathroom and coffee stations made private time possible, while the communal areas allowed for as much together-time as we wanted.
This was our first time to Hawaii. We took our two children, their spouses and our three grandkids. Ages from 2 to 78 and a fun time was had by all. (So glad there was a baby gate at the top of the stairs!) Any issues or questions we had were answered promptly, completely and without any sense that we were a bother.
A couple of things for visitors, at least in the near future:
first, because of a landslide the road up to the north has limited opening windows--a couple hours early, mid-day and later in the day. Be sure and time your trips north to match the openings or, like us, you'll go all of the way to Princeville and not be able to go further. Second, we couldn't get a reservation into any of the 'good' restaurants (by good, I mean highly recommended and pricier) because they are all booked out through the end of August. So, if you know you want to go to Tidepool or another air-conditioned, luxury restaurant, make your reservations far in advance of your trip. Otherwise, roll with it, open-air spots with the ubiquitous chickens roaming free are available--just prepare for a wait. Speaking of waiting, my kids found that if you ordered ahead at the popular coffee spots, you could walk right up past the huge lines and pick up your coffee/breakfast to go.

Our family group, ages 9 through 70's, spent an unforgettable week at this fabulous home. First impression was that the home and grounds were exactly as pictured, only better. There was plenty of room to spread out, as well as room to gather. The home was clean and shiny, and the kitchen was well stocked for any type of cooking we did. The salt water pool was a favorite spot, as well as the hot tub. The landscaping on the property provides beauty and privacy. Of course, being so close to the beach was a highlight. Dan, our host, was very helpful and friendly. In all, this vacation home was everything we had hoped for and we highly recommend it for families.

I really cannot give this rental property a high enough review. The property itself is an actual paradise. The pictures don’t begin to do it justice. We were a party of 12 from three separate families and we all fit comfortably with room to sprawl out and relax. We went on many excursions while visiting Kauai and at the end of the trip we all agreed that our favorite memories were actually while we were at the rental house. The house has such a stunning tropical paradise for a yard. The pool created endless hours of laughter and lounging together. We all were able to decompress and truly experience relaxation and restoration. The house is fully equipped for your every need. The location is amazing! Dan and Lynette will go above and beyond to provide the best experience you could hope for. You will not find a more beautiful property or more kind and generous homeowners than here! We never wanted to leave and definitely hope to return one day.

Gorgeous property that you can tell is loved like a home, not a rental property.
Layout:
The layout was perfect for us- in the main house my husband and I used the master king bed/bath on the second floor (same floor as the kitchen) with our two kids downstairs, each in a bedroom. My brother's family stayed in the master suite on the first floor of the main house. One thing to note that wasn't a problem for us is that this master suite can't access the kitchen without going outside. It has a beautiful view of the pool (the king bed can be separated from the living area in the suite by sliding doors- their toddler slept on the bed on the other side of the sliding door from them while their infant was in a pack and play next to their bed. Then there is also a third king bed in a separate bungalow on the property which we didn't have a need for as my sister's family was unable to make the trip at the last minute.
pros:
1. SUCH a short walk to the beach- we walked to the beach and even walked to dinner at Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt one night
2. You can actually see the ocean from the upstairs patio off of the main living area!
3. baby gate at the top of the stairs and the upstairs patio was enclosed in a way that we felt safe with our 3 toddlers roaming around
4. Very well stocked kitchen- definitely check it out before going to the grocery
5. the air conditioners in each bedroom were SO nice to have (none in the main living spaces which was totally fine with the doors open!)
6. parking was a breeze
7. 3 pack and plays if you have little ones (they're expensive to rent and a pain to travel with so this was nice)
8. awesome hot tub!
Cons:
1. If you have small children, just know that the pool is not gated off. We knew this going in (and Dan pointed it out too at the time of booking). That being said, this wasn't a problem at all- we always had an adult with our kids at the pool and they wore puddle jumpers
2. The only bathtub in the house is downstairs in the main house so bathing infants and toddlers is a bit of a challenge because of the glass sliding door on the tub. My SIL bathed her infant in the sink and we opted to have 'jungle showers' with our toddlers in the outdoor shower surrounded by beautiful landscaping and close to the pool which they thought was a very special treat (and honestly was great because then we didn't track any sand inside)
Overall, the house was better than we expected and 5 Stars all around!

There were 13 of us from 2 to 72 for our celebration of 50 years of marriage. This place was the perfect place for us. We appreciated how close to our activities it was. We also liked the privacy each living area offered. The pool was an absolute hit especially for the kids. I couldn’t imagine doing a trip like this without it. Dan and Lynette were very helpful and available during our whole stay. The home was complete with many of the little things many places don’t offer. I would check out the kitchen before grocery shopping to avoid buying unneeded duplicates. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this place and Dan and Lynette.

The pictures on here do not do this property justice. It is an absolutely beautiful home!! Dan is obviously very good at what he does, the grounds were gorgeous, the views are breathtaking. The pool and hot tub were refreshing and soooo relaxing. We had the best family vacation ever. The beach was a close walk, there was, what looked like a man-made pool area at the beach, who knows, It very well could have been natural, but it was great for the grandkids to wade in and the adults to sit and have a cold beverage. Hawaiian Cousin Dan, as the Family soon nicknamed him, was a wonderful host. He was very informative and just an all-around nice guy. We loved every minute, and of course, no one wanted to come home. I highly recommend this gorgeous property. We will definitely be coming back in a few years if they are still leasing it out. If it were my home, I would have a hard time sharing. It was truly the best family vacation we have ever had, and I look forward to the next trip. Thanks so much for allowing us to enjoy your piece of Paradise!! There are not enough words to express the beauty and luxurious accommodations Dan and Lynette shared with us. One week there was simply not enough. The purpose of our trip to Kauai was to attend a family wedding at the Grant Hyatt which is just next door to this gorgeous home!
We were a multi-generational group ages 36 - 88. This home was perfect for everyone, and would have been ideal for the grandchildren too.
The interior of the house is beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed having the doors and windows open to take advantage of the cooling breeze. Most important for some of us was the air conditioned bedrooms. Some of the evenings were very warm, and the air conditioning was essential and much appreciated at night! We did most of our cooking at the house in the well equipped kitchen - all of the dishes, gadgets and appliances are there. The landscaping, outdoor seating areas, swimming pool, etc. are beautiful - just like the pictures on-line. The perfect place to relax, visit and enjoy ourselves. The Booye's have a wonderful, delightful little dachshund named Kila. She was supposed to be staying at the neighbor's, but we loved having her at the house with us! Kila was the perfect hostess! Everyone had a fantastic time, and you really don't need to leave the house - it is it's own piece of paradise!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at PoipuBay Getaway, the lovely home of Dan and Lynette from Aug. 1st thru Aug. 8th. We spent many hours researching the various accommodations on Kauai before selecting their place, and we are so happy with our choice. Our group of 12 ranged in age from 2 thru 74 years and everyone hated to leave. The kitchen was modern and well equipped to prepare meals onsite. All of the bedrooms were large with comfortable mattresses and air conditioned. The two large outside patios provided plenty of space to relax and enjoy drinks while enjoying the ocean breeze. The most popular place for our group was the large pool and surrounding pool deck. The only negative comment about their place (and it is actually a positive as far as the property is concerned) is that we hated to leave and explore other parts of the island. While there, one of my daughters was married on Shipwreck Beach which is only a short walk away. Dan was very helpful in arranging a local minister for the ceremony as well as suggesting local places to dine. This was our 3rd trip to Kauai and this was by far the best accommodations of any of our previous stays. Our children and grandchildren returned home after our week stay there, but my wife and I moved to a 2 bedroom condo for the next 4 days. That condo, although nice with great ocean views, did not compare with PoipuBay Getaway. I would definitely stay at Dan and Lynette's beautiful place on our next trip to Kauai, if we come with a group of 8 or more.

This house exceeded our expectations. Pictures cannot capture all that it has to offer. Plenty of seating for gathering throughout the house and yard. The upstairs deck off the kitchen made for the perfect place to hang out as a family. Although the beach was extremely close, a day didn't go by that we didn't hang out at the pool. Absolutely beautifully planned backyard. The cabana was the perfect place for the couple with a baby. It fit our family's (10) needs to perfection!

I strongly recommend any family going to Kauai to look into this property. It is absolutely fabulous!! We took our family to Hawaii for our 40th Anniversary celebration. The twelve of us ranged in ages 1 yr. to 65 yrs. This property has everything you could want. You really would never have to leave if you didn't want to. The Hyatt Terrace is a short walk and great place for morning coffee. Poipu Beach is a short distance where you can surf, snorkel, and boogie board. It's a very clean beach and beautiful. The owners of the property Dan and Lynette were there to greet us on arrival and show us around the property and were only a phone call away if we needed anything. The pool and the hot tub are well maintained. Our kids were in the pool a large part of each day we were there. The bungalow where my husband and I stayed was wonderful. We never had to use the air conditioner once during our stay.
We have liked using VRBO and found several homes here in the United States that have turned out to be great for us. It does take time to do the searching for the right place but when you find a place like this it makes it all worthwhile. I don't think you can go wrong staying in the Poipu area of Kauai. Thank you Dan and Lynette and thank you VRBO.
On a side note we found the following eating places to be very good: Joe's(just a short distance from the house), The Beach House, Oasis on the Beach(Kapaa), Lava, Lava Beach Club, and the Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt. We also had our family pictures taken on the beach by Julia at Pacific Dream Photography located at the Hyatt. She did a tremendous job. Highly recommend it if that's something you want done while you are there. If you are a golfer you have a perfect course just down the street at the Grand Hyatt. We played there twice and the 2nd time was a replay at a better rate. It is an absolutely beautiful course. If you are going to play more than 1 time I recommend taking your own clubs. $60.00 rental for clubs.

My extended family of 10 came to Kauai for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We all had a fantastic time and the location could not have been any better. Dan and Lynette's house is beautiful and perfectly located for a quick walk to the beach to see the surf or watch the turtles and seals resting on the beach. The house was immaculate and slept all 10 of us very comfortably. The backyard was an amazing oasis that, despite being surrounded by other houses, left you feeling secluded and very relaxed.

From the minute we arrived, it was "Heaven on Earth" and we had an amazing stay! This home was absolutely perfect for our family of 9. We had our own private areas on the property yet congregated at night around the beautiful pool/garden area to visit. From arrival to departure this was by far the best vacation I've ever had. When we pulled our rental car into the driveway we were cheerfully greeted by Tony who gave us a tour of the property. Logan the landscaper had just tidied up the grounds and was leaving. the cleaning crew was gone and the house was immaculate.
This place is amazing. The photos on the web site are not embellished. It's actually much larger than the pictures show. Beautifully landscaped with lush greenery and palm trees. Even a coconut, banana and mango tree on site. The pool is a work of art. Very large for a private residence and just the right temperature. Small smooth tiles line the pool and are easy on the feet. Plenty of patio area for sunbathing with comfortable padded lounges. Five hot and cold outside showers are strategically placed on the grounds. Hidden in the greenery by the pool are a hot tub and a hammock. Between the main house and the pool nestled in the foliage is the bungalow. Very well built and air conditioned with microwave, refrigerator ,and shower.
The two level house was nicely decorated and furnished with comfortable beds and air conditioned bedrooms. Plenty of room for our party of 12. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of food preparation. Plenty of pots and pans, small appliances,dishes, gadgets etc. You name it. It's there. Large french door refrigerator with crushed ice dispenser, gas range, convection oven and microwave. There is also an additional refrigerator in the garage if needed. The owners Dan and Lynette are wonderful people and can easily be reached if anything is needed. We all thank them very much for our fantastic time. We will for surely return to this beautiful private resort.
