GREAT VIEW & LOCATION - located on the cooler interior courtyard of Hokulani you have refreshing views of Maui’s beautiful ocean and our guests have consistently said 'the pictures don't do it justice. Since we are in the inner courtyard, we do not have any worry about noise from the roads, or Maui winds.
2. GREAT SERVICE - First thing's first. We believe in great service and will take care of you. This condo is our baby and we care for our guests who take the time to come out and visit her. From the booking process to your checkout, you can expect quick and prompt communication and we will treat you with respect and care. If there is ever a problem, we will make sure to take care of them in a quick and professional manner should they arise.
3) TOWEL SERVICE - I would venture to guess that 75%+ of Honua Kai listings on VRBO are not signed up for the official towel service provided by the resort. It's a separate feature that owners have to pay for. That means that every time you go down to the pools or beach, you will have to take the few towels that most units provide you. Then you will have to lug them back up and wash them. Imagine doing that everyday! With our unit, your wristband is automatically enrolled in the official resort towel program that allows you to get fresh towels at the pool, and simply return them at the many lockers once you're done. No mess. No washing. No work. You're on vacation!
4) GREAT VALUE - Since we are new owners, we are eager to share our beautiful space with you! We have decided to offer introductory specials as our way of saying Mahalo for choosing our unit!
5) FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN - In our fully stocked kitchen, we have put high quality utensils, cookware, glass ware, serving ware, and appliances. Plus a blender, coffee maker, toaster oven, and electric kettle. Everything you could need to cook all types of meals!
Our goal is for our guests to 'Live Aloha' while they are our guests. Whether it's just another trip to Maui or the only trip you'll ever take to Maui, our mission is to make it special. This particular studio unit is in the Hokulani tower, and is 630 square feet with a large lanai that easily seats 4.

The Konua Kai property was really nice and our room was really nice, but we were very disappointed when a scaffold was built right outside the balcony which totally our Ocean View and a sign was put up saying we couldn’t even use the balcony from 8-5 while they were working.

Not saying it’s dump, because it’s not. But:
1. We were not informed the hotel was being painted so the whole courtyard area was obstructed by heavy equipment and scaffolding. Would’ve been nice to know. I’d ask in future.
2. Shower water pressure non existent.
3. Ice maker didn’t work. Leaked water on the floor. Was promptly fixed.
4. Auto door lock didn’t work so door wouldn’t lock. Was fixed while we went to dinner on day one.
5. Carpet hadn’t been vacuumed thoroughly. Nail clippings from prior visitors.
6. Word to the wise: if you want to use the mansion after 4 and until sunset, plan on very hot conditions as it is in the direct sun.
7. Lighting is extremely dim. Impossible to do make up in the bathroom. The rest of the unit needs more lamps or something.
8. Somewhat dated - carpet has seen better days. Bathroom needs an upgrade.
9. Room charges not working the entire 10 days. Not a huge deal but meant bringing cash or card just to get a coffee.
10. Seat saving at the pool not enforced.
11. Unlike nearby resorts, no beach chairs or umbrellas.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The lanai was great for meals while we enjoyed a view of the courtyard and the ocean. The towel service was a nice perk because we could easily pick up towels and return them whenever we needed. Communication was smooth and the property manager was very responsive to our phone calls and text messages. This was our first stay at the Honua Kai Resort and we hope to stay again in the future. Many families were staying there and the atmosphere was both fun and relaxing. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay and love the Honua Kai Resort and Spa! The condo was perfect for my wife and I, we enjoyed sitting on the lanai for breakfast and drinks at sunset. We used the beach chairs that were provided to hang out at beaches in the area. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. We will be back!
