Condo was well equipped with kitchen gear, towels, beach toys, comfortable beds and guide books. Only drawback was the inadequate air conditioning. (2 small air conditioners)

This location was ideally located & the grounds were amazing.The condo itself was fine for what we needed, a space to eat & sleep, but the condo is in DIRE need of an upgrade! The carpets are OLD and NEED replacing & the kitchen, while serviceable, also needs an upgrade.While the condo needs some upgrades, I need to say the cleanliness of the condo when we arrived was questionable. I am certain that we left the condo cleaner (I cleaned the condo myself, but still not the cleanest) than when we arrived. The people cleaning the condo do not do a good job, they only clean the surfaces (example: the top of the fridge had YEARS of dirt solidified, took me 15 min. to clean & it still WAS NOT clean).Otherwise, this condo & the complex were great & we'd recommend the Hale Kamaole complex to others.

We have stayed in Hale Kamaole for 12 of the last 15 years. Have a good experience in all the condos until now. 223 is the most disappointing condo we have stayed in. It needs some serious attention. There are soft spots in the upper bedroom floor that are going to punch through some day soon. Some of the grout in the upstairs bathroom is missing and the tiles are starting to come loose. We had to buy a kettle because the one in the condo was filled with black scale. The kitchen is short of utensils. The scissors in the kitchen drawer look like it was dug out of a garden after being buried for years. The location is great with a good ocean view. Would expect a much better maintained condo for $429 a night

We had a great stay at Hale Kamaole! Great location, right across the street from the beach. Very clean with lots of towels and beach equipment like chairs, coolers, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. The pool was great for days when you don't want to get sandy at the beach. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops.

We had a great stay at Hale Kamaole! Great location, right across the street from the beach. Very clean with lots of towels and beach equipment like chairs, coolers, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. The pool was great for days when you don't want to get sandy at the beach. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops.

This stay was amazing for my family of 8! Two babies a pre teen and my in-laws. Enough comfy space for us all! Beautiful views and quiet hours were definitely strict! Had a blast!

Great location and the grounds are kept stunning! The kids love the two pools and the bbqs are convenient.The unit 223 has the option of two twin beds in the main level bedroom which worked great for our kids. It’s well layed out.Overall compared to other units we’ve stayed in, this unit is looking tired and is in need of minor updates/refresh (and some sharper knives!). The sliding screen was very stuck and hard to open. We had many little ants in the kitchen so the office had to come by and spray.

Although the condo is in an excellent location, the place had lots of bugs, and a cockroach that was dead in the middle of the room that was not cleaned up prior to check in that makes me question when the cleaning crew last came by, and the AC situation is really bad and not enough for condo. Unless you are constant wet it was miserable for people that may be didnt want to go swim or shower at that time. The staff is also really hard to get a hold off during the day. I tried calling their direct number as well as through VRBO messaging. In person is probably the way to go. The after hours guy Scott was at least easy to get ahold of. There are plenty of other rentals in that same location so I would go somewhere else next time.

Spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Had everything needed to accommodate a large group. Views and amenities were spectacular. Area was easy to get around in and centrally located. All appliances functioned well. Plenty of parking and quiet area. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at the condo. The only negative was the quality of the Internet connection. For the first couple of days the internet in our condo did not work at all. The property manager said it was the owner's fault: they did not set up the Internet correctly after a recent change of the Internet provider, or something like that. The property manager advised us to connect to neighbors' Internet. Which is what we ended up doing, but the quality of connection was very poor. Couple of days later, a technician came over to fix the Internet. After that we finally gained an access to out condo's Internet, however the quality of connection was very bad: basically only good enough for text and low res photos. It was quite nostalgic, because it reminded me of the good old times when I had dial-up internet connection as a teenager. So that was the only negative experience of an otherwise great stay.

My family stayed in this condo for a week and it was amazing. We will definitely be back. The apartment has several items that are needed for your stay at the beach. We were able to use the beach chairs and boogie boards which was awesome. Check in was a breeze and check-out even easier.

2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 kids had a great time in Unit 223. With the beach right across the street, the pool even closer and a terrific, broad, landscaped lawn between the units, we greatly appreciated the collection of boogie boards, snorkels, balls, etc. available in the condo. Temperature regulation was something of an issue as the bedroom air conditioners struggled.

There are only two little AC units in the bedrooms, the rest of the unit is very hot and humid, so makes it hard to sleep anywhere but inside the bedrooms. The location was nice, pretty dated but great view and close to a very nice park and beach. The staff were super friendly. I just felt it was a bit overpriced to be sweating all night

Always stayed at Hale Kamaole when visiting Maui over 40 years! It is like coming home! Love the residences, beach access and snorkelling! Great location and always enjoy the BBQ area and visiting with friendly people! We were very satisfied with everything. Friendly, professional and accommodating staff and office. Small touches to condo needed attention. It seemed a little older and no updates made as of recent, such as bedding and kitchen supplies. Loved the area and overall enjoyed the place. Would come back to this condo.
