Each home at the resort is individually owned and each has a unique style and flavor. The owner, Joel and his family are original owners of Royal Kahana #1004 and their love of the Resort is obvious in the lovely decor and inviting home.
This comfy ocean view property is spacious (480+ square feet with a spacious lanai) is beautiful decorated with a king-sized bed and a twin sleeper sofa. A brand new central air conditioner and a ceiling fan provide maximum comfort. There is a full kitchen, washer, dryer, cable TV, DVD player, FREE PRIVATE INTERNET ACCESS. Local telephone calls from inside the unit are FREE.
With the lanai overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean and islands of Lanai and Molokai, it is the picture-perfect place for your morning coffee!
The Royal Kahana has a large oceanfront swimming pool, oceanfront BBQ area, complete on-site fitness room, ping pong table, and, and an onsite Concierge.
Across the street is Kahana Gateway Plaza, a small shopping mall with several great restaurants such as the Maui Brewing Co., Hawaiian Village Coffee (one of my favorite coffee shops), a Whaler's convenience store, a McDonalds, and several other shops. Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua are minutes away, as are many world class beaches (D T Fleming beach is just north and has been voted one of the best beaches in the world). Championship golf at both the Kapalua Golf Course (home of the annual SBS PGA Tour Championship) and the Royal Kaanapali Golf Club (home of the annual PGA Senior Skins Game) are just minutes away.

*Beach information
*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.
This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Our guests' safety is of the utmost concern for us. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

10th floor view was amazing, only downside was there’s construction around the site so during the weekdays it’s a little noisy. Proximity to good beaches is a plus, but food options are limited. Hop on the 28 line down to Laihana for food options!

I had such a great time staying at Royal Kahana! I sooo wish I could have stayed longer, too! The owners were super nice; easy to communicate with, the apartment was nice and clean; equipped with everything you need. And I loved the views from the balcony, too! Every morning I ate my pineapple there and watched the whales... then I went swimming in the heated pool, worked out in the gym and went for lunch at the nearby restaurants. I just loved staying there! Totally recommend this place for a perfect vacation in Maui!

Aloha! My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this Royal Kahana studio. The view from the lanai is amazing, we enjoyed many mornings and evenings on the lanai and we miss it here at home! The studio had everything we needed, a coffee maker for my Kona coffe that we bought at the Safeway near by and a blender for our homemade margaritas! We also made breakfast a few mornings to save money, very convenient. The beach was beautiful especially watching the sunset. The beach chairs in the unit are very handy, we loaded them in the rental car and used them everyday! You will not be disappointed staying here!! Mahalo for a wonderful stay, we will be back again! PS the binders in the drawer under the tv were very helpful, lots of tips!!

It's a well-maintained and clean unit. My wife and I felt like staying home, with 6 nights in Maui. It comes with fully loaded kitchen, with in-need utilities, where we can prepare breakfast at home. Decoration is appropriate to Maui, with king size bed furnished. This is water front unit on 10th floor; everyday we listened to the wave brushing the beach to wake up and go to sleep. Lanai is spacious. Location is an advantage, which is minutes from Lahaina downtown and Kahekili Beach. Dining and shopping are convenient. It's close to north shore as well. Nakalele Blowhole is wonderful location if you like to hear the rhythm of the sea. Dan is good communicator, with all information provided before the trip. We don't have any problem check in at night. The building is in age. Comparing price and values with other properties, 1004 is wise choice. Highly recommended!

This was overall an amazing stay! The room was perfect size for me and my boyfriend! It had everything we needed from inside the room to the pool to the ocean right there. The view was outstanding from the balcony. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. I would also come back and stay again!

Very nice, well equipped property with a wonderful view from the balcony.
Beach was closed but even if it was opened, the sand line was too narrow to feel comfortable lying there.
Managers were very nice to allow us to use beach towels after we had checked out.
We had problems with the TV remote but a technician on the property immediately came and changed it.
Overall we are very pleased and will gladly come back.

We stayed here at Royal Kahana Resort for 4 nights. The ocean front view was breathtaking! The condo was clean, it had everything we needed to enjoy the night after exploring the island during the day. The surrounding areas were nice to walk around, restaurant and Coffee shops were walking distance. I will stay here again. Please fix your lounge chair so we can both enjoy the Lanai.

Condo was nice and clean. Decor is a little dated but then again we were only on vacation. The front desk was very friendly. Check in was a breeze. Pool area is ok, we only spent a couple hours out there. The condo is beachfront and it has an oceanview but it does not have a beach that you can walk on. Parking was easy. Close to a store for little things, but you need to take the bus or have a car to get to a larger grocery store. Kitchen equipped good but missing a pan for the oven. We wanted to warm up some food. Only other thing that would of been nice would be to have a lounge on the balcony. There's plenty of room. Just a personal observance. I would recommend this condo.

What a wonderful place to stay! The view was amazing and the studio home was the perfect size for us! We felt right at home. It was so nice to listen to the waves crash and watch for whales right off the lanai. There was plenty of restaurants near by but our favorite was the sushi place Miso Phat. I would definitely recommend this studio home to anyone coming to Maui and if we come back we will for sure book with you again! Thank you for providing us with such a great place to stay!!

Totally enjoyed our holiday and the unit, was great having a washing machine and dryer. Enjoyed the view, particularly the whales. Perfect location close to all that we needed, and ample stocks of towels etc. Owners have thought of everything. Looking forward to returning one day.
