Very comfortable, cozy and great island vibe. I love that it was very peaceful until the top floor start moving their furniture and start talking to each other.
Also I didn’t like that one of employee from property called me a few days before we go asking me to cancel from VRBO and just book directly to them. She said she was asked by her manager to do so. It was one of the most uncomfortable conversations I’ve ever had and such a weird request. I don’t know what to think of it other it was a scam.

Small but clean and comfortable with partial water view, ocean breezes, newer remodel, wonderful location. The bed was good, the internet worked, the parking easy. Pack light, bring your own beach towel. The food trucks provided the best meals. Noise travels in these units, so be prepared to be quiet. Reservations needed for Black Sand Beach. Leave early if you are making the hike to the waterfall.

Stunning views. Clean and modern property. There were a lot of mosquitos inside at night and it was warm in the bathroom with less airflow back that way. Super impressed with location and overall accommodations.

The property was beautiful and the unit had some good amenities. However, the neighbors upstairs were loud and stomped around a lot. This was not enjoyable late at night and early in the evening. The second evening, I turned on the kitchen light and a giant cockroach ran under the plug in and crawled in. The called the manager, however, there was no other room to move us to. While I understand it is a tropical area, I would expect that bugs are sprayed for more often. I was uncomfortable all night thinking about cockroaches coming into my luggage.

This is a small studio, but furnished with higher-end furnishings. Nice ocean view from the bed, as well as comfortable lanai with a small couch as well as table and chairs. Great spot to watch the sunrise!
The construction of the building does not keep out the noise of footsteps overhead or voices from neighbors, but the management makes quiet hours policy visible in the unit, and asks guests to be aware of their noise levels.

We maximized our road to Hana time by staying in a condo in Hana town. This one was great! Clean, roomy, perfect sunrise view and big patio. There is a black sand beach at the bottom of the condo! We arrived before the office closed so everything was really easy checking in. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed the road trip to Hana. Glad we decided to stay the night at Hana Kai, and so we could continue complete trip the next day. The property was as expected, and we really enjoyed our stay there. Totally recommend taking two days to make the trip because the drive is beautiful, but very tiring. THX Hana Kai!!

Overall a very pleasant and peaceful stay. There is truly nothing better than sleeping to the sounds of the ocean waves right outside. Hana Kai Maui is a very well maintained establishment and thjs unit has a very nice modern feel to it. The kitchen was tastefully equipped with all you could possibly need. There is a standing fan, and two beach chairs available. Very well thought out furnishings. I would recommend this to anyone. Would love to return here.

Great for spending a few days off the Road of Hana! It does have WiFi if you need to connect with the world. Clean & creative rooms with all your travel needs! It does not have air conditioning, but the open air movement of the rooms, ceiling fan & provided plug in fan, it was perfect at nights! It has a beautiful ocean front view with the most gorgeous sunrise laying in bed! Defiantly recommend for any Honeymooners!

This property is an amazing overnight spot if you don’t want to do the road to hana all in one day! My husband and I came on our honeymoon and wanted a quiet and peaceful overnight in hana! The property is how it was listed, but better! The balcony is huge and the sliding doors allow you to sleep all night with the sounds of the ocean. Their “quiet hours” were supposed to be from 8pm-8am or 10pm-8am based on where you look but it is hard to honor those since sound travels in the wood building. We could hear our upstairs neighbors having a little fun on their balcony And the kids on the property running around. Also, when you check in, they inform you of the limited food options after 5pm…… listen to them and plan accordingly!!!!!! We almost ended up making pasta from the general store but got to Hana farms just in time. The restaurant and property at hana farms is AMAZING and I highly suggest you check it out! They were open until 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place for an overnight trip!!!!

This was an overnight stay from the road to Hana trip. It’s located in a beautiful spot, with just steps away from a beautiful black sand beach. Check in/check out was easy. Furnishing we’re up to date and there was even fresh flowers in my room. It was wonderful sleeping with the screen open listening to the waves. The only terrible thing was there was no TV, but you didn’t really need it in paradise, but it would have been nice to have.

We decided to stay overnight to experience more of Hana after driving all day from Kahana. The suite was very clean, with high-end Kitchen Aid appliances, and very comfortable. The view of the water was slightly obstructed, due to the second building on the property, but still plenty to see.
We didn't realize the emphasis in Hana is on being super quiet: signs in the suite reminded us of quiet hours; noise carried easily through the walls and floor; we could easily hear our neighbor prepping dinner (because there is no air conditioning you must keep the patio door open to catch a breeze); and the suite had no television. I am a quiet person but I almost felt like I had to whisper and tiptoe.
The property was nice for one night but due to small inconveniences (no a/c, no outlet near the bathroom sink for hair dryer/flat iron, and no washer/dryer in the unit), I probably would not have done well here for additional nights. One thing also of note about Hana: get what you need early, because the entire town shuts down by 8.
