Our stay at the 3rd floor condo was great. The property was within walking distance of everything we needed and the panoramic ocean front views were stunning. The condo was very clean but could use a little TLC with a pocket door that stuck, a bathroom tub that didn’t have a plug to take a bath and there wasn’t an Elevator which was a challenge with luggage and an aging parent where stairs are tough. Still we had a marvelous trip.

The property is as described and we had a nice week there. There were lots of thoughtful extras on hand in the condo - paper towels, coffee filters, dish and laundry tablets, and even an air dryer for hanging clothes! These things were really a nice touch - I brought half that stuff in my suitcase because we are accustomed to staying places where those things aren’t provided. The location really is ideal for sightseeing all over the island and we loved having the Safeway across the street and also the Wailua Shave Ice which was the best shave ice we had our entire trip! There’s also an adorable downtown area with nice shops and restaurants less than a 5 minutes drive from the property. I had several questions over the course of our week and the owners always responded very quickly.

As advertised. Great location and oceanfront property. Can watch and listen to waves anywhere in this unit and especially great sitting on the balcony. The place works great for a family of 5. Serves as a great base camp to travel to different sites in Kauai. Highly recommended!!

The condo was ok. Downstairs was better than the bedroom and bath upstairs that need remodeling. Kitchen was well-stocked. The view from the condo was great. We like staying in Kapaa because of the proximity to Hanalei and Poipu. This condo was not air conditioned and we did not need A/C at night but did during the day. Won’t stay there again because of that.

Location was great: walking distance to Kapa’a on a nice foot-bike path, only a few miles up to Hanalei or down to southern points. It was a little difficult to find at first. Nothing indicated that it was part of a larger property, Kapa’a Shores, which has condos managed by at least 3 different companies, apparently. There was a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath on the first floor, and a loft with bed and bathroom. Nice and airy and light, all.

We really enjoyed the unit itself, but found the property to be run down and needing updates. The stairwells were filthy and dimly lit. The walkway to the unit on our floor was stained and needs resurfacing. However, the unit itself was truly nice, well equipped kitchen, GREAT BED, ample towels, etc. We enjoyed our balcony morning and night and watched the sunrises. Kapa'a is a great location to get both to Hanalei Bay and to Poipu. I would definitely stay here again, even with the few constructive comments about the property. Very well represented by owners and property management.

I wish I could have stayed longer, waking up to sit on the private balcony just Meer steps from the ocean was amazing and breathtaking, went to bed with the windows open and the door to the deck open with the screen door latched and hearing the waves crashing against the shore was spectacular. The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful. Thank you for an amazing trip. I can't wait to come back.

Overall, the property is in a wonderful location next to restaurants, shops and grocery stores on the east side of Kauai. It's a fairly easy drive to get anywhere else on the island. The property was in pretty good shape with some minor things that could've been fixed that were annoying. Particularly in the bathrooms. The kitchen and living room were nice and functional. It is located right on the water; however, it's not really sandy and isn't ideal for swimming if that's what you were hoping for. Nevertheless, it is a gorgeous view in the mornings during sunrise. There is a nice pool and hot tub but it opens at 9 AM and closes at 8 PM which wasn't ideal because we were always gone exploring the rest of the island at those times. We felt it should have had longer hours to take advantage of it. I would recommend to people to stay here but it isn't the most glamorous property (not that it necessarily should be at its price point).

Quiet and peaceful. 10 minutes to the airport, 30 to Princeville and 30 to Poipu- very central to access most of Kauai. Great eats at Sam’s Ocean View a few minutes north. Also loved the walking path in Kapaa along the ocean. The condo was clean, comfy beds and easy access with minimal contact with others. Nice pool but limited hours- closed at 5:30 each evening.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with our condo along the oceanfront. Our vacation didn’t slow down when we arrived at our home away from home. When we weren’t driving around Kauai, we just opened the door to relax to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. It rains frequently in this area (east side of island) in March so consider that when you are planning. NOTE: The area directly in front of the unit is NOT suitable for swimming due to the rock shelf and strong currents. There are plenty of sandy beaches nearby and the pool is lovely. We happened to visit as a major storm came through, and there has been flood damage in some areas of the island. This is a third-floor unit w/o an elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage. The condo was well-supplied with all items for the kitchen and baths, including all consumable items. There was no coffee when we were there. There is a good place to pick up necessary groceries, prepared foods, and incidentals w/i walking distance. A shopping area w/ mall, WMT and COSTCO are a short drive away. This is not a five star resort, but we were very comfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was a VRBO. NASTY!!! Bugs, rust, mold, and way too out dated. The bed is so old you CANNOT sleep. The ONLY positive is the view but not worth the condition of the unit as a trade off. DISGUSTING

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Kapaa Shores because many of our 20 person party were staying at the World Mark Resort. I've also stayed here twice before in other condos, and love the location, pool, and clean grounds.I was disappointed in the cleanliness of this condo. It is very dated, especially compared to the World Mark units, and needs some improvements. The upstairs toilet wouldn't flush, and things would ultimately come back up, it was unpleasant. The bedding was also pretty dated, which I would have washed it, during my stay, but there was no in condo washer and dryer, which I didn't realize until we got to the unit. It was on the first floor, and you had to wait around the condos for it to finish.The location of the condo was lovely, and the view amazing. I would just recommend tending to a few cleaning and updating on the condo, and I would definitely stay again.
