Very, very nice. What an expansive view, and all to yourself, no one else staying at the property. It truly is a most wonderful place. Look forward to returning hopefully someday again!

Wow! What a great house. Paul and Naomi designed and furnished this house with care and attention to detail. The whole front of the house is dedicated to the view of miles and miles of shoreline where you can see almost 30 miles to the north and the fishing village of Miloli’i to the south. The bedrooms are thoughtfully located in the back of the house to take advantage of the mountain breezes. The house and everything in it was clean and had its place. The communication with Naomi prior to and during our trip was excellent. The area was quiet and peaceful. The first time we stayed in the Miloli’i area we stayed at a rental further down the mountain. This location was far better. We highly recommend staying at Paul and Naomi’s house and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we return to the Big Island. Mahalo Paul and Naomi.

100% worth the trek out of the way to stay at this place. The home is spacious and a perfect remote work destination. Make sure to pick up groceries before you arrive, the nearest grocery store is a ~20m drive.

Clean, spacious, and comfortable vacation rental. Naomi and Paul were wonderful hosts. Their communication and attentiveness were first class. They thought of everything, from a fully stock kitchen to beach gears. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of the coast line, the sunsets, and the night sky from the expansive covered wrapped around deck. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Paul and Naomi for sharing your beautiful home.

Stunning sunsets on the deck of this great house. The home has everything you need for your vacation including beach gear. We planned ahead and bought our groceries before going there since it is a ways away from shopping and restaurants. That was ok with us because we like to cook. Thanks Naomi and Paul for sharing your lovely home with us. Mahalo 🌸🙏🌴

We had a wonderful 8 days, including my boyfriend's birthday, at Paul and Naomi's house in Miloli'i. The house is light and spacious with beautiful bamboo materials and nice appliances. The view from the house's perch on a lava rock hill is mesmerizing and you can see far up and down the coast, beautiful sunsets of course, as well as a starry sky at night. It was also quiet and serene and we didn't mind the driving times to the busier areas at all. We even made it to the summit of Mauna Kea on our 4th visit to the island. And the hosts Naomi and Paul were very communicative and responded quickly. Highly recommended!

We stayed for two weeks at Naomi and Paul's property in Miloli'i. The house is very well appointed and over the stay we had everything and more we needed for a great vacation. The views from the property are indescribable and the house is cool and comfortable throughout the day and night due to the inflow and outflow of air currents. Both Naomi and Paul were attentive to our needs to ensure nothing at the property prevented us from have a great stay. We highly recommend this property to those who wish to have a great vacation!

Our 2nd time to Paul and Naomi's house, once again stepping into a perfect vacation home, far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but yet close enough to everything you would need for your stay. A pleasure to communicate with Naomi, she is always easy to contact, and a very thoughtful host. Thank you both once again for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Had visited Big Island before & wanted the complete Hawaiian experience from the quaint villages to the resorts ,to the mega resorts & nature. It was all available from here. Secluded beaches to fishing villages. Was able to view the Pacific & wildlife at our doorstep. Will never forget hearing the birds of Hawaii. The groves & groves of orchards of organic produce! The surf shacks, breakfast bakeries & cafes (be early!) . It reminded me of the Mayan Riviera near Tulum. Must see before time changes it. Learned the the Aloha & Mahalo spirit of Hawaii. Thanks to our hosts, We were blessed by this house created by them near Milolii, the last fishing village of Hawaii at our doorstep. Thank you!

We stayed for a week in January 2023, and loved the house. The listing was accurate, and we quickly settled in. The house is remote, in Miloli'i, which was what we were looking for to get away and cook for ourselves while exploring the island. It's an hour from Kailua-Kona, and 2 hours from the North Island, and also the East such as with Hilo. 40 minutes to Kaleakekua Bay which is just perfect. The kitchen had a couple incidental basics, and a good range of utensils and pots and pans. Charcoal BBQ is downstairs and we used it a couple times. Good place to cook and then eat on the lanai and take in the beautiful sunsets! Really great view of the ocean down below. The beds were good, bathroom was nice, and the breeze kept everything cool. Partway throigh our trip, Naomi contacted us to ask us to check out early on our last day, at 8 am, and offered a refund for one night in return. While it was a little annoying to find that out while we were on our trip, it just made us make sure we were packed up the night before so we could go get breakfast out in town before flying home. Things happen. The hosts were friendly and communicative and kept a nice house! Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

The best Hosts! So helpful.. great communication. They went the extra mile for us after our flights were canceled! Great views! Property is new, beautiful and comfortable. Well outfitted and appointed. It is very far though, be aware it is a long drive on a very windy road to Kona and really anywhere but the South coast. But if you are looking for privacy, quiet and the best night sky this is a fantastic option. Highly recommended!

I wanted to find a place that was not a hotel and was a little away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism. Really enjoyed this beautiful little home. Communication with the owners was very good. Always felt like if we needed anything we could message them. Instructions on how to take care of the trash and password to log in to the internet was right there in the house. The house was very clean and had all the pans and plates needed for us to cook our own dinners an save some money that way. There is a short drive and 20 minute hike to get to a secluded black sand beach where you can see spinner dolphins and do some snorkeling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We had a really great time staying at Paul and Naomi's house. They are the most wonderful and responsive hosts that we have ever had at any of the many VRBO properties that we have stayed at. As the photos show, the house sits atop a hill with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The road to the home does wind around a little but is not at all difficult to manage, we even got to where we enjoyed the pretty scenery along the way. We stopped several times so that my wife could purchase a fresh avocado from one of the "honor" fruit stands located along the drive. The house was very clean and well appointed, having two nice recliners and a couch in the living room, satellite tv and two nice bedrooms. The washer and dryer made packing easy as we only took enough clothes for half of our eleven night stay and did a couple of loads of laundry half way through the trip. The kitchen had everything that we needed and we even ended up spending more time at the house than we had planned, forgoing a few road trips. There are several small markets/grocery stores about 15 minutes to the east on Hwy 11, larger stores a little farther away north in Captain Cook and Kona. The smaller ones have most everything that you might need. All in all, I would very highly recommend this house and location. (Naomi even stayed in touch after she was called away to Japan to look after her ailing mother!)

Naomi and Paul’s home is clean, comfortable and was in the perfect location to relax after exploring the island. We enjoyed our stay as we explored Hilo, Volcanoes National Park, green sand beaches, black sand beaches and as far north as Waikoloa!

I would echo what other reviewers have stated about the excellent construction and cleanliness of this home! We got used to the windy road and ventured out daily to do various hikes, snorkeling, and eating out. Paul and Naomi did a great job of responding promptly to our questions and went the extra mile to provide all we needed! They even had some Hawaiian music CDs which we enjoyed having on in the background!

We had a wonderful week long stay at a beautiful two bedroom home perched along the side of a hill, overlooking the ocean. The home was in great condition, clean and very comfortable. The road to the home has twists and turns but most nights we drove in after dark without any trouble. The host communicated with us well, via text, checking in with us to insure any needs were meet. They provided all the essentials even a very handy ice crest which we used each day for packing picnic lunches. If you want a rural location, away from the crowds, this is the place.

This was a wonderful home to stay in. We booked for almost a month & regret not staying longer. If you are looking for a party place this is not for you. If you are looking for a peaceful place to restore your soul & just enjoy a great ocean view, visit the parks, swim or snorkel then this is a good home base. It is not right on a beautiful beach, you will need to drive, but for me this was so much better than being stuck in the hustle & bustle of Kona Condo's. The kitchen was large, had most everything I would keep in my own kitchen, nice comfy recliners for reading or catching your favorite TV show. Bedrooms were nice size & so very clean & fresh. Bathroom & shower was large enough to be comfortable. It was nice to have a washer & dryer although we chose to air dry ours in the roomy garage. Naomi the owner stopped by each Saturday to collect the trash & usually brought us a treat, avocado or bananas. I will definitely rent again if available in the future!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying 9 nights at Naomi & Paul’s beautiful home with an awesome huge lanai, incredible ocean view & a cool ocean breeze. We stayed for our anniversary & Christmas. Naomi made a tropical centerpiece with a red bow for the table and also had an anniversary card and bottle of champagne with a bow waiting for us on arrival. How thoughtful! We enjoyed the hikes to Honomalino and Pohue Bay beaches. We were glad that the house had beach gear for our use. The home was very clean and relaxing. We admired all the craftmanship and detail put into it. Everything we needed was there. The only additional thing we would recommend would be to have a couple loungers for the peaceful lanai. Thanks, Naomi and Paul for sharing your beautiful slice of paradise!

We have stayed here before so we knew what to expect. Naomi and Paul are gracious hosts and checked on us several times. They are a wealth of information! Our view was beautiful. This is not a place for anyone who needs to be close to the “action”. But if you are seeking a quiet, refreshing place-this is for you.

Had an enyoyable stay at the Milolii house with my wife. Check in was easy even during a pitch-black night using a smart phone. Milolii Road was pretty decent for a road built on a lava slope. Had no trouble driving a Lincoln Continental to the house. Property is very attractive and comfortable. Enjoyed eating meals on the patio. Nice clean drinking water is available. Cable TV and WiFi were included. Good for working at home. Owner helped me get the gas stove working again when it ran out of gas. Coffee bean grinder provided was used frequently. Used the coolers on the property to take trips to the grocery store and beach. Temperature was manageable using the fans provided inside. Washer and dryer in the garage were handy.

We rented this house for our second week in the Big Island. We stayed at Waikoloa the first week with family but wanted someplace less crowded and yet picturesque. Naomi was a wonderful owner! She was always quick to respond to questions and even allowed us to store our refrigerated items from the prior week earlier than checkin. We had encountered some issues with the DVD player but Naomi was quick to offer some premium channels in lieu of the player. We ate outside on the deck as often as we can. We actually spent most of our days on the balcony reading, relaxing or just looking out. I would suggest having chaise lounge chairs on the deck as it gets uncomfortable on the patio chairs if you’re sitting out there a lot 😉 We had a great stay and would recommend their house!

Naomi & Paul’s place is stunning. The home has been meticulously crafted with subtle details most people may miss. It is warm and inviting, and perfect for our stay. The views are amazing from every room in the house. The communication was excellent prior to our arrival and continued throughout the trip. Naomi & Paul live on the island and if you time it right, you may be able to meet and chat with them. They are very easy to talk to and have some great in-site to the island. The house is a bit remote, so you will drive for everything. There is a great grocery store in Capt Cook called ChoiceMART. They have fresh local fish and great selection of food and booze. There is also a well stocked fruit stand directly across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were happy to be supporting people that live on the island rather than someone on the mainland with a second home. Support the locals wherever you travel! Aloha.

This was a return trip to our favorite place! Th house was perfect and fit all the descriptions and far above. Paul and Naomi are great hosts and are always looking to help with anything we needed. Always checking the water and trash for us. This house and everything about it are amazing. This time around we even saw sharks in the Honomalino Bay! Hands down one of the best homes we have used in all VBRO! Enjoy the Big Island in this home like we did and do. We will be back again :)

Mum and I spent 9 nights at this lovely house on a getaway, and it was everything we wanted and more. A perfect trip to recharge and enjoy the incredible landscape and weather! This place is lovely - it's situated in quiet little village on lava rock, surrounded by fruit orchards, with expansive breathtaking views of the ocean! The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped - there was a full kitchen, snorkeling gear, coolers and beach chairs and beach chairs, and we always felt like we had everything we needed. Milolii is quite far from Kona and Hilo, so get your shopping done on the way in. We bought sushi grade tuna and the freshest fruit from fruit stands, and cooked amazing dinners. And NOTHING beats breakfast on the lanai! We spent mornings drinking incredible Kona coffee - you can buy beans at one of the many coffee farms, there is a coffee grinder at the house so you can have the absolute freshest cup every day. Naomi and Paul are terrific hosts, they reached out to make sure we were ready, sent updates about Hawaiis Covid rules, and were so welcoming and accommodating. Such a beautiful way to experience Hawaii! We can't wait to return!
