There was a lot to love about the house and property. It was beautiful. It was well equipped for our family. The garage had everything we needed for fun days at the beach,There were just a couple of concerns. There was no sound barrier in the house. As soon as one person was up, the whole house was up. This included the second house. I could hear every word said in the next bedroom. In addition the beds were not comfortable.

The property concierge, Anne, was awesome. She was very responsive and made sure our stay was perfect. Stayed here with a group of 10 young adults, the space accommodated all of us very comfortably. The large kitchen and dining area allowed us to cook our own meals. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay at this property during our Hawaii vacation! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, yet still close to beaches, restaurants, and shops. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made it easy for us to cook meals when we wanted to stay in, and the bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. The little touches, like beach chairs, towels, and snorkeling gear, made our trip even more enjoyable.Overall, this rental made our Hawaii trip extra special. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Big Island getaway!

Aloha...It's a very nice house, perfect for our family of 11. Good proximity to conveniences, and a good starting point for our excursions every day. So we really enjoyed the house for our family vacation.Now for some constructive critique:I would say that the house shows need of some maintenance; e.g. some shower heads sprayed everywhere but at you. We couldn't get the outdoor lanai fans to work. The BBQ is on its last legs internal parts and some burners didn't light or light fully. This next comment may be a bit picky but the snorkel sets need to be replaced...most masks and snorkels can't be attached so we couldn't use them. The wagons need to be replaced as they don't collapse and a handle is missing.Again, aside from some maintenance things we enjoyed this beautiful house and would consider renting it again! Our large family (7 adults and 2 children) enjoyed a 9 day stay here. 3 couples, a 20 something single and children were able to have some independence thanks to the layout of the house. All of the rooms had excellent a/c and fans, very comfy beds, and great bathrooms. All of the amenities worked great. Many thanks for the toys, books, and beach equipment. The plunge pool was delightful after a hot, humid day at the beach or in town.

Great house for an extended family vacation with thirteen people aged 5-70. POD style separation of rooms was a surprise but it worked out. House was very well equipped. Hosts responsive when needed. Magic sands beach lovely but wavy for little kids.

Nice house in a very small gated community. The layout of the house is a bit unconventional, you have to go outside to access 3 of the bedrooms but they all have their own bathrooms. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. There was pretty much everything you could ever need at the house including 2 washers and dryers. We all enjoyed our time there. I would definitely go back if i ever go back to the big island.

The early questions I had about specific needs were quickly answered. Didn’t ask about parking but found out a week before that the driveway parking was for 2 cars at best. There was plenty of spots in the lot across the street but some guests would need to know this?

Great property, 14 of us stayed there. Great location, away from the busyness but close enough if you want to do anything. The “stay” binder was very helpful and I think all the adults looked at it at one time or another. Our only suggestion would be a big frying pan or a griddle. It was hard making eggs for everyone in the small frying pan.

We were a group of 8- my parents, my brothers, two partners. The layout was perfect for us- most of the rooms had their own shower, and the kitchen let us cook most of our meals easily! One of the best stocked kitchens I’ve stayed at! The house also had a lot of the beach supplies necessary to explore,. Would definitely recommend

The house easily accommodated our group of 9 comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was spacious. The set-up of the house allowed each group to have their own space as well as a large living space to be together. The garage has all the beach equipment you need to go to the beach. You are within walking distance of the beach and not far from downtown Kona. I recommend this property.

Gorgeous home within walking distance to the beach. The house can easily accommodate large groups/families and we loved the patio, family room and ping pong table. It was so nice having access to beach chairs, snorkeling gear and anything you would need for a day at the beach. The property manager was very accommodating and easy to work with. Beautiful, very comfortable home. Location felt secluded and safe but was convenient for activities, shopping and dining. Garage is full of all the things that make a beach day fun and convenient - boogie boards, beach towels, noodles, water shoes, masks and snorkels, chairs, umbrellas and a big cart to haul it all in. They had a lovely welcome spread of snacks and coffee so you don't have to run straight to the store and enough toiletries to get you started. Dual laundry facilities and a simple check out list even made leaving easier. They get all my stars!

Our stay at Forever Sunsets was fabulous! Every amenity you could imagine is already here and waiting to be used. Our host was attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to assure our stay was enjoyable.
The house is in a wonderful location that is convenient and walkable to some great beaches. Watching the sunset from the back of the property was fun and entertaining as we were able to observe a sea turtle as well.
We hope to return to Forever Sunsets soon.

We were a family of 10 with small children, teens and adults. The pool was perfect for the little kids (and teens) - provided hours of playtime and the lanai was a beautiful area for us all to hang out. Lots of beach chairs, beach toys, towels and a cooler for trips to different beaches along the west coast. The bedrooms were plentiful and worked well for the various adult/child configurations. Wonderful family vacation!!

Our family stayed here to celebrate our 50th Anniversary that will actually happen in the summer. We had 4 families there, 7 adults and 4 children under age 12. We came from AZ and the rest came from ND. We had a great time. The house was perfect for us, large enough and the kids loved the pool. Each family had their own room in the house and their own privacy. The kitchen was big enough for all of us and we utilized the BBQ a couple of times. We loved walked down to the ocean and watching the sunset. We would gladly rent this house again. It does need all new flooring though.

The Proparty was beautifully appointed with room enough for our family group of 11 people. It was also well equipped with paper products and towels and linens although the kitchen could have used a larger skillet to cook eggs, etc for a crowd. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and the ping pong table in the garage was very popular with the teenage members of our group.

Our family of 9 immensely enjoyed our stay at the house. The set up was perfect for everyone to have their own space, but the common area was large and accommodative for the times when we lounged together. The amenities were wonderful! It was so nice to already have beach towels, beach chairs, and snorkeling gear available as soon as we arrived. Anne was attentive when communicated with and very helpful. Although the property has good possibilities, there were several problems:
The upstairs master air conditioning did not work, and the concierge did not seem to know this when we discussed the problem on the first day.
The WiFi was too weak in the remote bedrooms to use the TV, and we racked up extra data charges on the phones.
The Bluetooth interface to the stereo system did not work.
The information binder included features that did not work, although they were not in the VRBO listing.
The gate on the path to the ocean was broken; after a couple days someone came to prop it open.
After 3 dinners we gave up on eating outside due to mosquitos.

We loved the pod-style floorplan of the house. The 4 private rooms with bathrooms made each couple have a great week. The beds were amazing. The kitchen and common spaces were so large and very comfortable. Loved the patio, and had many enjoyable times out there. The location was fantastic. Don't hesitate to book this beautiful spacious property located close to the ocean. It is only 2 minutes to Magic Sands beach by car and a short walk to the lava rock shore behind the home, which offers gorgeous sunset views (no beach access from here). Very clean and modern home with upscale finishes throughout! Lots of space for everyone. Each bedroom is very private but still adjoins nicely with the rest of the home. One exception is the small downstairs bedroom, which is located directly off the kitchen, so plan accordingly for noise. The property is located in a gated neighborhood, which offers added safety! Host was fast to respond with any questions. And bonus, the property comes with LOTS of beach toys and accessories such as umbrellas, chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

We just wrapped up our 2-week stay at Forever Sunsets, with a large multi-generation family of 12. This review is based on our experience with several other Big Island vacation rentals.
The check-in process was simple. The property manager was friendly and met us at the house for a tour upon our arrival. Overall, the home was accommodating for a large group. It was nice to have an open-concept kitchen/family room space for everyone to gather. The pod-living concept (as a previous reviewer noted) is unique and has its pros and cons. In the main house, there is one master bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs (which opens directly to the kitchen and has to share the shower upstairs). The other rooms must be accessed by exiting thru the lanai. One twin bed was in a walk-in closet and one was in a master bedroom. It is something to consider if you are looking into this property.
Amenities: I would agree with the review of the plunge pool, which was previously an endless swim pool, but the motor was removed so it is now a plunge pool. It became a mosquito magnet for us, which made it unusable (day or night). Kids enjoyed the ping pong table and cornhole games. There is no surfboard (as noted) but 1-2 usable boogie boards. Lots of swim shoes and snorkel equipment (some working). We appreciated two washer and dryers!
Location: Great location near downtown Kona. It's easily accessible. The 'private' beach is also easily accessible to the public. It is a great spot to watch the sunset.
Overall: The house was accommodating, but needs some upkeep (worn furniture, appliances, towels, etc.). The property manager encouraged our suggestions. There were lots of plastic cups, bowls, etc., but a hodgepodge of other glassware. Larger pots and pans would be welcomed when cooking for a large group. Definitely needs a deep cleaning.

The "pool" was somewhat disappointing, it's actually a non-functioning swim spa, that could have been made clearer in the description. There were lots of mosquitoes, that took a couple of days raid to get under control. The property manager should have done this ahead of time

We can not say enough great things about this rental and the attentive property manager, Ann. There were so many supplies available: snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas, abundant linens and extra beds, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Views of the ocean from the upstairs balcony, walking gate to the tide pools, walking distance to two beaches. Highly recommend snorkeling right out at disappearing sands. The close beaches were good for teens and adults, had to drive 20-40 minutes for other beaches better for smaller children to play safely in the waves (the only complaint). Close proximity to shops in Kona, costco and many other stores. This house really has everything available for a group to just show up and enjoy the island! Thank you for hosting our large group! The fresh local fruit brought to us was a lovely touch:)

The house was perfect for our group. For late sleepers and early risers. Everyone had a place to enjoy our stay. Home cooking was especially easy given all the spices/condiments that were available. We walked down to watch the sunset each evening, and the 7 min walk to Magic Sands Beach was a breeze. Our house manager was very helpful in ideas for our group. We loved our vanilla farm tour, and the waterfall on our trip to Hilo. Such a special vacation.

The first impression of this house is wonderful! We loved the property itself. It is roomy and comfortable. Our consensus is that it should be closed for a few days to make necessary repairs. 1. The AC in the lower master cooled to 68 degrees in the day and evening, and then went to 72 during the night. This all happened every day, with the thermostat turned OFF. The concierge said an earlier guest had taken out the batteries, and suggested we do the same. Why had it not been fixed? 2. The upstairs dryer has no vent to the outside, and consequently, activated the smoke detector in the great room when the dryer was in use, late at night, with children asleep. The smoke detector near the dryer itself did not work - only clicked. 3. The doors to the patio from the great room are extremely difficult to open, mentioned by the concierge herself - why wasn't this dealt with before, if she knew this was the case? 4. The outdoor shower does not work, and appeared to have been non-functional for quite a while - spider webs around it, and the concierge walked in front of it to turn the knobs, indicating she already knew it didn't work, and saying "Oh, this hasn't been fixed?" 5. The pool is listed in the check-in instructions as having a lap swimming unit. "The pool has a jet on it used for lap
swimming and can be fun if kids want to play in the current. The controls blue, labeled, on
lanyards and hanging in the closet under the stairs by the bar. To use the control just press “on”
and you will hear the motor kick on. You then can control the speed of the water flow."
The concierge said it has been taken out, due to liability issues. Please take it out of the instructions. We were looking forward to using it. 6. The gate to the tidepools was locked and bolted shut - another thing we looked forward to, but were unable to do. 7. We were ready to head to the beach, and grabbed the cooler in the garage. It had stagnant water in it, so I closed it back up immediately.
I communicated all of this to Anne, the concierge, and received assurances she would stop by with the handyman, but it was always tomorrow, and tomorrow never seemed to come. She did drop off a grill brush, but that is all. As I said in the beginning of this review, if you take a few days to deal with these issues, you have a winner. I was disappointed by these inconveniences.
