We loved this house. It’s super clean, recently remodeled, a perfect 3 bedroom layout in a quiet neighborhood so close to the beach. You can hear the waves from every room. The beach path is right in front of the house and anini beach is so peaceful. Highly recommend this spot!

This home is unbelievably beautiful. I love it here. It is so welcoming, comfortable, sunny, bright and cheerful. Honest and pure good vibes here. Plenty of space to hang and still have privacy for a family of five (kids are now young adults!). Windows open everywhere with sheer white curtains flowing with the breeze. The house is so nice we actually remodeled our house to try to replicate the clean, open and fresh look. We cooked and baked together every night, and loved eating by candlelight in the breezy back porch, especially when it rained. The house is surrounded by beauty, every window is a work of art and nature, swaying trees, flowers, birds, clouds, sunsets. The best sunset you see is when you are relaxing in the deep soaking tub upstairs. The many fruit trees in the back yard are phenomenal- star fruit! I feel like the house is on the beach, you just have to cross the street and you are already on the short path to the most serene and stunning private beach on earth, it is particularly stunning at night when the water is calm and all of the stars in the world show up. A 15 minute star float is priceless. The resident turtle shows you what it’s like to be peaceful, calm, and relaxed - you know it has let a lot of things go in his lifetime and living just fine and happy without all that baggage. Lots of coral and tropical fish, you can snorkel and swim really far out there - it’s shallow all the way. You can be in that water all day, but put on suncreen!

My family of 5 and my 80+ mom loved our visit to Anini beach and to Nicole's beautiful home. It was a perfect getaway before we sent two of our boys off to college. The quiet cove, warm water, fish full beach is just steps from the home and it was a treat to walk over and jump in after a day of adventuring. The home is equipped with everything one could need, plus the decor was lovely--love the Buddhas! My kids loved to play in the backyard, and I enjoyed reading in the hammock. Thank you for a great visit. We hope to come again.

This house was amazing! We booked this property as our Kauai timeshare was having the roof replaced and we didn't want to be bothered by the construction noise and debris. This was the best decision we could have made. This property was beautiful inside and out. The check in was easy, the owner was responsive, and with a semi secluded beach literally 100 Steps away how could you possibly have a bad time. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a lovely stay! Very quick walk across the street to Anini beach. AC upstairs was very helpful and we loved the screened in back porch. House had everything we needed for the beach and for meal prep. As a tip, if you like a dark bedroom while you sleep, pack an eye mask :). Thank you so much for hosting us in your beautiful home! Beautiful house very close to the beach! Loved sitting on the back and front porches with the Hawaiian Breeze. Would have liked a bit more information on recommendations on activities and where to eat and shop in the area. Be careful of the steps at night going up to the master bedroom and another set down to the living room. Really loved having the beach equipment and laundry handy.

I honestly cannot think of one negative thing about this house. It is exactly as pictured. We stayed for 8 days. Entire house is perfectly clean. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We cooked every day and had everything we needed. The home owner was a text away and quickly responded to any questions we had. We walked down the short path to the quiet, beautiful beach many times a day. No crowds, and calm waters due to large reef offshore. This was nice because we were there in February and other beaches nearby were wild and too dangerous to swim or snorkel in. It’s a short drive to Hanalei and we went into town for dinners, groceries, snow cones, and shopping. There is a brand new bbq on the back deck that we grilled on and a large Lanai complete with sink and small fridge. The yard is beautiful and far enough away from other homes that you feel like you are staying in your own piece of Kauai. We would love to go back!

We enjoyed our stay in Anini. The house is lovely clean and nicely decorated. It was nice that they provided snorkels, beach gear and towels. I also appreciated the extra kitchen condiments, soap, hair care products, cleaning and laundry supplies. Kauai is my favorite island and we loved staying in this beautiful house Thank you for a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to come back. .

This is a beautiful house with a well-equipped kitchen. The snorkeling across the street is excellent out near the reef, which proved to be invaluable Christmas week, when waves were too severe to snorkel at Tunnels or Ke’e. Loved this house and location!

This property is exactly as described. Anini Beach was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed sunny afternoons, coffee with sunrise and stargazing. We could clearly see the Milky Way! It was just perfect.

The property was fantastic and as advertised. Having 3 suites was perfect for our group of 3 couples. The location was great being close to Anini beach to walk to, which is nice and calm making it relaxing any day and any time. The kitchen and appliances were nice to make any meals we wanted. Very nice property with higher-end appliances and furniture. All bedrooms have a king-size bed with a super comfortable mattress. The kitchen is modern open-concept. Ceiling fans in every room and common areas. AC (very effective mini-split) in the master bedroom upstairs. The yard has an outdoor shower and different fruit trees. The location is perfect, just 100 steps away from the famous Anini beach. The water is very calm and shallow perfect for little kids (we had two 4-year-olds). Go out a little farther from the shore and it becomes deeper with decent snorkeling.
The host is great. Responses to inquiries within minutes and very accommodating.

This home is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful stay! Our family of six (mom, dad, two teenagers and two 9 year olds) stayed for five nights. It's in a perfect location. 15 minutes to Hanalei and 100 steps from Anini beach. Some of the things we enjoyed: drinking coffee on the porch every morning, playing ball in the spacious backyard, eating fruit from the trees, borrowing the snorkel/boggie boards/beach stuff, making dinner in the sunny kitchen and eating in the lanai, watching the sunrise and sunsets on Anini beach, watching the chickens roam around, etc. We made so many memories as a family --- truly a magical setting!
It's noted that there is no AC on the main floor and the second floor (where the two bedrooms are located). We opened the windows and used the fans provided. My kids didn't mind the heat. But I was relieved to have AC overnight in the master bedroom which is located on the third level. Another thing to note: is the master doesn't have curtains. It wasn't an issue for us but wanted to point it out.
All in all, it was a trip of a lifetime and we will forever remember staying in this lovely home. Thank you for sharing it with us! Mahalo!

So much fun snorkeling and swimming with the turtles and so many colorful fish. We loved the fresh fruit in the back yard, wish we would have had fruit basket on a stick. The house was great and my grandson made friends with one of the chickens. 😂. We spent most of our time on the screened back deck and loved the bbq. House had everything we needed and more. The only suggestion I would offer would be to supply a non slip shower mat to the large master shower. It is huge and with soap on the tile it was a bit scary for 2 seniors in our 70+. We loved our week and will definitely be back. Great home

This home came as advertised. Less than a minute walk to the beach. Protected calm water for young children which was perfect for our two granddaughters. As mentioned by others that have stayed here this home is even more impressive than the pictures. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house is truly beautiful, comfortable, spotless and well appointed, looks even better in reality than in the pictures. The owners did an amazing job furnishing the house with quality furniture and tasteful decorations. The Anini house is probably one of the most beautiful properties that we ever stayed at. We enjoyed every single moment here. One small observation: the main bedroom does not have any window coverings, and the morning light can be brutal. Don't miss the sunset on the beach, grilling and enjoying the front lanai at night, during the rain. We are leaving relaxed and refreshed, and thankful to the owners for all the hard work they put into this property so we can enjoy it and create amazing memories. Mahalo!

The owner was very helpful and responsive to minor issues that occurred on the trip. If we return to the island, I would not hesitate to stay again.

The home was wonderful and is beautifully maintained. This is not a rental where you walk in and feel that the pictures were better than the actual experience - it's the opposite. You'll enjoy it more than you expected.
We had a great time and as a family that's gone to Hawaii many times, we were tired of hotels and wanted to be in a house. We were happy to buy fresh fish and fruit and prepare it ourselves.
The house is lovely, with many amenities, and its proximity across from Anini beach is quite special; it's also an easy drive to all the places we wanted to see in Kauai.
There were almost no downsides. Any hiccups were few and easily resolved with the homeowners, who are attentive, thoughtful, and very responsive. There's A/C in the upstairs/primary bedroom that works well; one should know that it doesn't cool the entire house and at times our teenagers found the house too warm. Sometimes you can hear cars zip along the road in front of the house. But these were minor things. It was a relaxing experience. Each time we drove back to the house after being out and about, we were happy for its lovely location, a beautiful and calm beach where we could take a walk or snorkel, and a place we could relax and feel like we were at home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anini Kai! As others have said, the pictures simply don't do it justice, it is so spectacular "in person." We had perfect weather and enjoyed the front lanai immensely, used the barbeque several nights (and mornings, for cooking bacon!), and the kitchen has absolutely everything you need for cooking at home, which we did quite often. Walking across the street to the quiet cove for sunrise and sunset daily is just unreal. The snorkeling equipment, beach towels, chairs... Nicki and Dave are very generous and thoughtful hosts! We hope to return again one day!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this property for a week. The location can't be beat - so close to Anini and a short distance away from Kilauea and Princeville. The property is serene and well stocked - everything you could possibly need to relax, explore and enjoy. I couldn't recommend this property enough and hope to be a visitor again soon!

Our first VRBO and it was seamless no issues whatsoever. The only reason for not rating it top notch across the board was the remodeling of a house across the street so it was very noisy during the day. Lots of truck traffic sawing and hammering going on. Other than that this is a perfect place for six adults and a one year old. They even had a pack and play crib for our granddaughter to sleep in.

We had a great time at this house. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and fitted with nice appliances. We really enjoyed the lanais on the front and back of the house. The beach is very close and very private. The only suggestion I have is to add a few pillows for the pull out bed and a couple more blankets. It was overall a fantastic experience. The property owners responded promptly to our messages and are extremely gracious. Thank you!

Anini Kai was perfect! It was absolutely beautiful inside and very clean. It had a wonderful screened porch that we enjoyed. The kids had fun picking and eating some of the fruit from the backyard. It was so nice to be really close to Anini Beach. We never even put on shoes when we walked over there (it was that close). We went there at least once every day. It's only 15 minutes from Hanalei Bay, which was awesome. We loved using the boogie boards, sand toys, and beach chairs. There was also lots of snorkel gear (but we packed out own). Can't wait to go back!

Can’t say enough about the Style of this place. It’s one of the last places down there that has a real yard with fruit trees and lots of privacy. Dave and Nicki went to great lengths (and expense) to preserve the original house with it’s low key design. As a long time resident of Kilauea, we appreciate their maintaining the character of a unique place on the north shore. Not much of that going on around here anymore. Mahalo. — Pat

This has to be one of the best properties we have stayed at and we have stayed at so many places! First, Nicki and Dave were so responsive to any questions. The cottage was just remodeled and has a very modern farmhouse style that is so cool. The best part is that it's location:. Literally 100 steps away from one of the best beaches on Kauai. It's not crowded like the other beaches and you don't have to ever worry about parking. Lunch? Just walk back for that. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Most excellent location, calm water for younger kids-at beach, good for 2 families to share, excellent bbq patio & kitchen, grocery store close by, windows do great at blocking the noise from the roosters crowing , and we would definitely return!!!
