This was the perfect property for our first Hawaiian vacation! Lani's condo was clean and comfortably accommodated my family of 6. In-room washer/dryer was a nice convenience to have. The resort is stunning. My wife and I frequently discussed how happy we were with the decision to stay here. The kids had a blast...great snorkeling right down in front of the resort. When it got dark, they made the transition to one of the many pools on the resort grounds while I fired up steaks at the community-use grills.

The resort was beautiful, good location, & has great amenities. The condo’s layout is perfect, kitchen was was nice, and bedding was very comfortable. Loved all the coolers, beach chairs, & swimming gear provided. I only gave 4 stars for a couple issues. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The kitchen fridge doesn’t get very cold, so we were drinking semi cold drinks the whole time. The location of the condo is directly above where they make early morning truck deliveries. So the trucks backing up & beeping woke my kids up several mornings. Overall the condo was nice but the location is the only reason I wouldn’t stay here again.

This place perfectly fit our needs - the property itself is great, and is close to other amazing beaches / restaurants / shopping. There are also multiple grocery stores and equipment rental places within 10 minutes so you can easily stock up. The unit itself was perfect and low hassle. It was big enough to let us spread out and truly relax. In-unit laundry is also a huge benefit, and the reserved underground parking made things easy as well. Our property manager was also amazingly responsive (literally within seconds), and went above and beyond for us.
The check out requests were also very easy. Overall, this was exactly what we were told it would be, and really facilitated a memorable trip. We will be back - thank you!!!

We enjoy the stay at Lani's property for several reasons. It's quite comfortable and also is fully equipped for cooking on those days we decided to dine-in. Shopping and beaches are conveniently close by.

Our group stayed here for 6 nights in March 2023, and it was perfect for us: 1 couple in secondary bedroom, 1 couple and their 4 year old in the primary bedroom with ensuite, and 1 slept on the sofa pullout. We cooked up in the room and down in the shared BBQ areas the resort has, used the boogie boards and sand toys for the 4 year old. Everything was very clean and welcoming. Monty (on-island property manager) was awesome, easy to communicate with. We loved the condo and Honua Kai - highly recommend!

We had a great experience staying at the condo! The property is so well set up for families with all the pools and the close proximity to the beach! We loved how the doors opened to the patio to allow the fresh Hawaiian air in! We can’t wait to return!

Lani’s condo was as great as was described on the listing. This was our second time in Honua Kai, and Lani’s place met our very high expectation. Lani and Monty (property manager) both had great communications before and during the stay.
The condo was clean, quiet and had all the basics a family of 4 would need. The pac and play and the water sports equipments were great as well. If we had to nitpick one thing, it’d be the lack of kitchen accessories like plastic wrap and non decaf coffee beans. But hey, I guess few come to Hawaii to cook much!
We had a pleasant time at Lani’s. Mahalo for the great experience and memories!

Lani was great with communication and was very detailed on everything. Monty was great and checked in to see if we needed anything. Super clean, fresh bedding and towels, anything you could think of for the beach, etc. Close to the beach. Great pools and close to Duke’s restaurant. Balcony was spacious and perfect for sunrises over the mountains with coffee. We would absolutely recommend Lani’s home to everyone we know. You won’t be disappointed!

The location was perfect. A short drive to Lahaina and Kaanapali beach. The pool area of the resort was beautiful, and beach access was right there. Loved the provided beach chairs and boogie boards! The condo was beautiful and clean. We had a wonderful time, and would stay there again!

We have stayed at the Honua Kai before and this was another awesome visit. Small snafu with checkin but Monty resolved it quickly. Our family enjoyed the spacious accommodations, the lanai with a small ocean view, the awesome pools and poolside cocktails.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lani's place in Kaanapali. We found the unit to be nicer than the photos and in great condition. The overall property is fantastic: very nice pool areas, good gym, great location, and outstanding restaurant (Duke's) right on the beach. In fact, Duke's was our favorite of all restaurants in the area and so we ate there twice. Because the Honua Kai is condos, not a hotel, the overall experience is much more civil than nearby more expensive places such as the Sheraton. (If you want to go to Black Rock by the Sheraton, which we highly recommend, you can easily park at Whaler's Village)

Great trip with my family. The property is very nice and the grounds of Houna Kai resort js amazing and great for families with small children. My toddler loved the beach, pools and especially the water slide. The unit had lots of beach gear which was wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay!

From the booking, to check-in, to our stay, to extending our stay, the entire experience was the best we've had on Vrbo. The property is pristine. The condo was immaculate and so comfortable. We were amazed by how quiet it was in the unit. Wonderful to be so close to Duke's for dinner. Also the snorkeling on the beach right by the hotel was better than we anticipated. Appreciated the property manager checking in to make sure everything was going well. We hope to go back again one day.

This was the perfect rental for our family of 5. Very clean and just as pictured. Nice kitchen and living area with a spacious balcony. Quiet location at the corner of the building. Resort pools and beach were nice, kids enjoyed the slide and multiple different pools. On island contact, Monty, was great. Checked on us to see if we needed anything. Underground parking not always available at night, but we found spots nearby. We hope to return again!

Our room was fantastic. The room & resort were clean and felt safe our entire stay. The host checked in on us to make sure all was good with our stay. The beds were extra comfy and the Mountain View made for gorgeous sunrises. My daughter loved the slide & waterfalls in the pools. The beach is literally a quick walk from the room. We can’t wait to come back and visit!

We had a wonderful time at Lani's place! Smooth check in, the condo was perfect. We had plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children, beautiful view overlooking the mountains - we were greeted by a rainbow every morning. The kids loved the pools, and watching the sunset off the beach in the evenings. We cooked on the BBQ's and the BEST food trucks are right outside the gate, across from Times market. Great location, close to spectacular snorkeling and body surfing. Great vibe also, everyone wore a mask inside, no problems, very considerate. Thanks for sharing your place!

This is our 2nd time staying at Honua Kai. We love the location and the resort itself. The pools are amazing, the run along the beach and dukes is great. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. We used the kitchen every morning for breakfast.
My only feedback would be lighting in the bathroom could be a little brighter, and I wish the shower head pressure was adjustable. But nothing major at all.
Can't wait to return. Thanks for having us!

Can’t say enough great things about this property. The condo was updated and very clean. We had everything we could need for our stay and more. Beach chairs, cooler, full kitchen etc. The resort itself is great with easy beach access and great pools. The owner made sure someone checked in on us throughout our stay and went above and beyond making sure we were taken care of. I would stay here again!

Nice property and as described. Only suggestions is washer and dryer were not the greatest. Took awhile to dry. First night had an issue with the fridge not getting cold. However the property manager ensured engineering was called and they came and fixed it that night.

Lani was so amazing and responsive through out the entire booking process, as we had a couple of questions about the area and activities. The place itself is stunning and absolutely adored eating dinner on the deck, or simply using the grill stations at Honua Kai. It was super family friendly and then even supplied boogie boards and chairs for beach days, and had every amenity that we need. Would definitely book again in a heart beat and will be recommending them to friends and family!

We loved our stay in this home at the Honua Kai. The communication was outstanding from the moment we booked through check-in. The condo is beautiful and had everything we needed for a perfect family vacation (even the boogie boards were provided much to our kid's excitement) Although you don't book a trip to Maui to watch TV I can't tell you how much the kids loved having the giant smart TV in the livingroom to watch movies after a day at the beach. The house is really spacious and had a great kitchen with everything we needed to make meals. We also loved the barbecues and all the amazing pools at the resort. We would absolutely stay here again. Definitely recommend!

Lani’s condo was amazing! We will definitely be back again. The condo was clean and very comfortable. This was the perfect place for us. We have a 5 year old and a 1 year old and this fit perfectly. The place had everything you need it was clean and inviting. The resort had so many different pool areas which was perfect for the kids.
