This spot was perfect for our family. Our 14 month old daughter could play in the green space out back while we lounged on the lanai. With the stroller we could reach a bunch of restaurants, the beach, and the club with a pool. This was our favorite, since the sand bottom kiddie pool was just right for her. Never made it to the towel hut but the evening turtle beach naps were a definite highlight. Would love to come back here with more time for everything, and definitely recommend this place for small families.

There was rusted water and plaster dripping/falling from the ceiling of the only shower. Not knowing if the ceiling might collapse on us while in the shower, felt unsafe, un-nerving and discomforting. The prop. mngmt. rep. was kind and courteous, did send over a service rep., but that process, including adding an outside plumber and as a result, we were effectively unable to privately enjoy 2+ days of our stay in the unit. The mngmt. rep. infomed me she spoke with the ownership and we would be refunded for "2 days", but in fact, we were ONLY refunded for 1 day. I found that action to be a very poor demonstration of commitment to the customer.

Place was great. Immaculate and well equipped. A short walk thru the Marriott to the beach and a great bar/restaurant Honu. A/C works well. Still need a handle on the fridge and the pocket door to the bedroom needs to be realigned. A new can opener would be good. The current one doesn't work.

We had a wonderful stay here. The AC worked like a champ against the humid kona winds and at night when things cooled off we could open all of the louvers and let the tropical breezes come through. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals and we enjoyed having our coffee on the lanai in the mornings listening to the birds. The location was absolutely perfect. We were just minutes from everywhere we wanted to be and an easy walk to either Kiahuna or Po'ipu beach. The pool at the athletic club was fun and we enjoyed the poolside drink and food service. The bed was nice and big and cozy for a rental property. You can hear Po'ipu road during the day but at night it settles down and isn't busy at all. If anything you hear the chickens louder than the cars, but that's one of the charming joys about Kauai. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay in this quiet, cool, calm oasis. We would definitely stay here again!
Just a warning if you have mobility issues, it is a ground floor unit but there are 8 stairs to get down to the 1st floor. They're gentle stairs with a hand rail. I have a bum knee but found them very easy to navigate.

This property was perfect for a couple wanting a quick get away with easy access to the beach. The full kitchen made it easy to keep and prepare food. The beach was only a short walk away; free access to beach chairs and you could rent snorkel and surf gear. We highly recommend this stay!

The good — close to Poipu beach, sunny, excellent property grounds, beautiful manicured lawn right outside the lanai though no amenities like pool or fitness center on site. This was already mentioned so no surprise there . The property has AC which is a plus, especially in summer
The property management company was responsive. As soon as we reached, found the bathtub not draining water and they repaired after 36 hours - a bit late but okay, atleast they did . They also dropped off some extra towels when asked (more on that below)
The bad —- The unit could really use some upgrading - especially the bathroom and kitchen appliances . The bathroom did not drain, tub had multiple rust stains (which can easily be fixed through resurfacing the tub) and the beds were not comfortable and the bedding was OK . We paid top dollars per night and for that we expect some luxury .
Kitchen appliances like refrigerator and dishwasher were old. Refrigerator missing a door handle to open !!! Kitchen utensils were difficult to cook and no nonstick.
Secondly, Every other VRBO we stayed usually has good amenities like a decent :keurig machine, extra bedding , beach chairs, cleaning mops and extra towels. We stayed for a week and we’re given 4 towels to start with !!! There was one old looking blanket for the kids and no extra pillows . You can’t market something as good for a family and have amenities that are basic. Throw in some beach towels, extra bedding and basic cleaning supplies - costs nothing . If we had called, they may have dropped off additional bedding but why not have them in there ?
There was one beach chair , a old vacuum and no other cleaning supplies. The unit has beautiful hardwood floors, why not leave a box of swiffer mops - 10$ at Costco ?
I am writing this review so the owner could spend some money to upgrade the unit - it would make a huge difference as otherwise the entire complex was beautiful and the unit itself has lot of potential to be a great place

In Poipu resort area so that’s the primary appeal. Out of 43 buildings n his complex ours was second farthest from the beach. First, the annoyances. Bathroom needs help. Tub rusty in spots and didn’t drain well. Pocket doors to bedroom continually came off the track. Couch is a foldout bed and very uncomfortable. No instructions to operate the TV. We were able to stream tv after signing in to every service but unable to get any live TV so no World Cup or other sports and no news. No beach towels, beach chairs or water toys provided. Also the bed sheets were too large for the bed so we’re bunched up a lot. On the plus side the pool, Hottub, gym and restaurant were across the road but very nice, especially the gym. We took the car down to the beach access. The Marriott Vacation club on the beach was easy to use and didn’t seem to mind that we weren’t guests. Beachfront bar, live music and nice beach for swimming, snorkeling or surfing. We had a great time overall but the unit needs work and a few perks to be worth what they charge.

We stayed for two weeks & were very comfortable there. There's also a nice walk-out patio that feels private & looks out to a very well manicured property. The location is pretty convenient, too. The beach is only a few minute walk away with access to lounge chairs & towels. There are also a few different restaurants/bars & shopping that you can walk to, too. We'd definitely stay here again!

Really great location! Loved the close access to the beach, rental of surf boards and shopping area. Condo was very clean and well equipped.
Communication going in was very good. However when we arrived at Lihue airport I sent 3 texts messages and I did not get any answered. I finally called once we arrived on site and someone came right away to give us our cards to access the condo.

We loved our stay! We have stayed in various locations around Poipu, and this one is a favorite! You are close to everything you need, shopping, dining and most importantly to the ocean! Loved the access to the gym included with the rental.
The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed. The AC was a treat!
Note, it is a first floor unit and you will hear the people above you. Hopefully you aren’t spending too much time inside, anyway!
The property managers were great, too! We will be back. Thank you!

Very nice location and convenient for exploring all of Kauai. The property was spacious for 2 and was well equiped with everything you need for a short stay. Prompt, friendly, and efficient communication from the property management reps made check-in and departure smooth. Within walking distance to south shore beaches, restaurants, and shops and not far from other towns and areas of interest. Highly recommend to anyone interested in staying in Poipu.

Thank you for a relaxing stay at a family favorite, Kiahuna Plantation. The condo was a five minute walk through the beautiful property to the beach and was located near shopping and dining options. The condo had all we needed in the kitchen for cooking and we appreciated having a beach umbrella and chair. The air-conditioned unit also made for a very comfortable stay. Mahalo for a wonderful vacation on Kauai.

Downstairs floor condo with large lanai and grassy parkway. Great tradewinds but because of that the units are not equipped with real windows. All are louvers so when the ac is on you still might get some heat seepage and noise from roosters at 3am-sundown. Bedroom and bathroom door is also slatted and lack privacy.
Ac works great and runs cold. Make sure to place ac on "dry" if you wouod like the unit to remove the moisture which is helpful for sleeping. A little sign or instruction sheet would have been helpful. Kitchen was fully stocked but the dishwasher needed a bleaching/cleaning. I removed the filter and cleaned it as it was filled with layers of scum but still carries an odor. Sink drain could also use a dumping of bleach to kill bacteria smell.Bathrooms were nice and fully equipped as well (hairdryer/soap/tp/trash bags/straightener). A note about the tub to mgmt. Tub was rittled with rust stains and pits. Please inquire about a resurfacing to correct. Caulking around tub also carries a large amount of mold and the shower curtain needs a bleaching. I realize Hawaii is a very moist environment but this needs to be addressed regularly for health purposes. Beds are very comfortable. Primary suit is a king and I actually took the name of the mattress down to possibly purchase for my home. The sofa bed was comfortable as said by my 12 year old son. Sofa bed was lacking linens upon arrival but we called our contact and had linens delivered within 30 minutes. Pool is across the highway but great for kids and facilities are amazing. Slide is slow but still enjoyable. Food/drink is great to eat poolside. Towels are provided at club. We didn't do sports but know they have courts. All included with stay. Tell them you are with kauai real-estate group for entry + last name. Kiahuna Plantation grounds are exquisite. Very well maintained and feels like a real live "jungle book" stay. Laundry is clean and quick (25 min for a wash / 60 dry $3 loads). Bbq area is 100 yards away from front door and gorgeous. We used it twice. Scrapers included next to bbq for cleaning. They use gas and have ignition buttons. The walk to the water is a fast 10 minutes, 5 if you drive to the laundry facility and walk the rest. We made it to sunset every night in front of the Sharraton (next door). No special entrance required to walk on neighboring property. Gorgeous views of sunset from around "rum fire".
I would absolutely stay here again. Great visit and location.

Clean property overall. Bedroom, kitchen, powder area, living area pretty updated and true to pictures. Bathroom could use some updating. Tub was showing signs of rust/ wear and tear. Air conditioner was a savior! A lot of Kauai Vacation Rentals DON'T offer this must for humid Hawaii weather. They provided some beach gear which was appreciated. Smart TV with streaming to HULU and lical cable a plus. Odd how one party provided check in service but nothing else. Told me concierge or anything relating to property service was another person. Luckily concierge was responsive and helpful at 8:30 in the am. Check in service needs to inform guests that towel service is provided by Poipu Athletic Club, instead of having to gather from towel shack off property that we couldn't even find. Nice that Poipu Beach was 2 min drive from the unit. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Overall enjoyed our stay at Kiahuna Plantation.

The is owners thought of everything! Nice furnishings, comfy bed, two tvs, even things like Saran Wrap and salt and pepper. It’s on the ground floor so you have access to the lawn. Definitely would stay here again.

This property was in a fantastic location! Close to beaches, shopping and great food choices. The condo was clean and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! Bart and Cookie greeted us on arrival and were so welcoming. Bart also made himself available for questions and suggestions for food and beaches the whole time we were there. The entire stay was more than I could have hoped for!

Overall this is a nicely appointed garden view unit EXCEPT for the very dated bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen was also quite limited in supplies and quite disorganized. The living room could use a floor lamp as it’s quite dark, but otherwise it was comfortable.

Would have enjoyed some beach chair that were included in other rooms and a bit of a walk to the beach, and the tub was clean but had some rust stains. overall tho it was a nice vacation and a nice room and kiahuna village is always a win!

The property location was amazing and the management company was easy to work with. Overall the unit was decorated very nicely and with up-to-date amenities. Our only complaint was that the bathroom could have been cleaner and we noticed make-up stains on towels.

Great Kiahuna Beach location. Very nice little condo for two. Impressed with the communication with the owner, easy check-in instructions via text and a prompt meeting with Heather to receive key cards. You avoid the Rental Office with this personal check-in. My only cautionary feedback is the wicker sofa/sleeper in the living room is uncomfortable as a couch and even less so as fold out. If your group plans to use the fold out bed, be aware. (A furniture upgrade here would be a big help.) There is also a wall mounted TV in the bedroom that is not connected to anything. It would have been nice to have that available. But overall, don't hesitate to book this condo. Mahalo!
