Our family of 12 used every inch of this property. The pictures online are inaccurate so the bed situation wasn't as expected. We tried to communicate with Vacasa which was painful. I tried to call but was on hold forever. Tried texting and they didn't answer very quickly. When they did finally answer, the person didn't understand what I was asking. One response was "Send me a picture of how small it is". How small WHAT is? This was an expensive conversion since I don't have texting. The next day someone asked me if we found the inflatable bed. Would have been nice if someone told us the day before. Good thing we are adaptable and sorted the kids out on our own. The sofa beds are old and uncomfortable and the kids refused to sleep on them. The positive part of our stay was having enough dishes for our family and the washer/dryer. We love Kauai but not sure if we'd book through Vacasa again. Absolutely no information about the property, no maps telling us where the pool or recycling was. Nothing about the key fob for the pool. Vacasa said they sent it but they didn't, it was not in the information they emailed. I don't think they read what they sent. All in all we had a great vacation because we are so easy going.

The property was perfect for our family of 13! The space allowed for us to spread out but still had the feel of home. Lots of pool towels and beach equipment! The only frustration was no internet. Kitchen was especially well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes! Close to beaches and places to eat! We’d stay there again!

The house was perfect for my family the issue we had was we noticed that there was leaking from the roof and flooded the patio reported it as soon as we noticed it and someone came out but no one fixed it and we were not able to use the patio it would of been nice to be able utilize it and the communication was poor.

We had 3 families and worked well over all. Washing machine had error message and would not spin. Took a week to get fixed. Bummer with 11 people and lots of laundry with beach everyday. Stovetop has missing temperature label on knobs. Hard to know what temp you pan was on, low, medium or high heat. Last day Refir started leaking water on the floor from ice maker. It was roomy on 3 levels.

We needed a house with 4 bedrooms which this provided, but the layout was less than optimal. Fortunately we were all one family but it would have been nice to have a better understanding of the layout. For example it is advertised as having 4 bathrooms, but one bedroom has two bathrooms.
When we first used the dishwasher we noticed it discharged some water into the kitchen sink and on to the backsplash and into the cabinet under the sink. The manager responded promptly but it took several days to fix (clogged discharge hose) but that was over Dec 24 - 26.
The living room TV barely functioned and we could not adjust the volume or channel. We notified the manager who promptly replaced the TV with a new one but it still took several days. One other set had problems as well.
We also thought there were not enough towels, particularly for going to the beach, but the manager brought many more after notice from us.
There was not enough silverware for 10 people (which is the advertised guest capacity and we had 10). It is well equipped with cooking equipment/implements but could use a new range: the markings on the dials have worn off and its operation is suspect. The refrigerator froze our eggs. Finally, the microwave would work fine but then quit in the middle of a job and we we had to wait 5 or 6 minutes before it would start again.
We were disappointed that when we arrived the house was not stocked with fresh rolls of toilet paper on the dispensers and Kleenex in the bathrooms, and new roll of paper towels in the kitchen. We have had in all our prior Vrbo rentals in this neighborhood and think it is a good practice particularly in light of covid.
The house was well supplied with recreational equipment - beach chairs, snorkels, sand toys, etc.
The pool for which the house has access is great and a good alternative to the beach. We have stayed in this area for ten years and like its convenience.
Overall the house was good and we have booked it again for next year.

The house is located in a quiet and convenient neighborhood, within easy walking distance of two beaches. We had plenty of room for the seven of us and we were able to utilize all of the space that the house had to offer.

No map of grounds/pool. Walked all over to find the pool for the Lani’s only need better information. TV’s controls were a nightmare very frustrating. Umbrella is broken need to replace. Would have appreciated talking to someone local for information/help instead of texting and waiting for return response. We left 3 new sand chairs. Overall our vacation was GREAT my Family enjoyed very much spacious.

This house accomodated our family of 11 very well. The kitchen was well suplied and had ample room the work in which was so nice. The location was great and was an easy walk to the ocean. The beach chairs, boogie boards etc. made the trips to the beach very enjoyable.
We would definitely stay there again.

We visited with 7 adults and a 1-year old. We had plenty of room, each couple or single having their own area. The beds were unusually comfortable for a rental, having 3 kings and a queen, plus others was great. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals "at home." There was ample parking for three cars, could easily have parked four. The location is very good, affording easy and pleasant walking to Poipu beach, or to Shipwreck beach near the Hyatt. There is some occasional road noise from behind the unit, and of course the usual (everywhere) Kauai rooster noise. People sleeping in the downstairs bedroom found it to be a bit warm, but many portable fans are available in the unit. The internet was adequate for email and web browsing, but is not lightning fast. The washer and dryer are full-sized and performed well. An extra refrigerator-freezer downstairs really came in handy. Not much beach gear (chairs, umbrellas) is provided, you will have to rent most of that. However, many beach and bath towels were provided, beach toys and a game room. This is a many-leveled home that offers lots of options for sitting and hanging out, note it required rented baby-gates for an ambulatory toddler. It was a great holiday!

This is a perfect home for a large family group. Three levels and lots of space to share. The kitchen is large with a wonderful view from the balcony. Perfect for coffee in the morning. I highly recommend Day Dream Believer for your vacation.

Loved this home for our big family trip! The multi-level home was perfectly suited for our family with little kids and grown ups that need space from them. It was also fully stocked with everything you’d need for the beach. Although you could walk to the beach, we opted to drive since we had little kids. Kitchen was the perfect size for cooking meals. Our only “complaint” is that there were ants in the bathroom — but that’s likely an island problem and not a house problem. Really enjoyed everything about this house — the common spaces, the location and the amenities!

The house was perfect for the 8 of us. We had plenty of room to move around and not get in each others way. The distance to all our activities was less than 30 mins except for our trip to the North Shore which took about an hour. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans that one would need. Beds were comfortable and plenty of TV's. The only negative was that the Washer did not work properly for us. I would rent again if we traveled back to Kaua'i.

We had enjoyed staying in this house. It's well equipped. Close to the Grand Hyatt and beach is an added benefit. It would be even nicer if AC can be added.

Our family booked Daydream Believer through Great Vacation Rentals for our annual family trip. It was a good choice for our group of 12 ( 4 families: 7 adults and 5 kids). The bedrooms were good sized with nice comfortable beds and the kids had plenty of pull-out bed options.
The floorplan is a little different than other homes we have rented but it was spacious and gave everyone plenty of room to spread out for privacy yet come together for meals and movie nights. The kitchen was nice and large and very well stocked with kitchen essentials. We did a lot of cooking at home so the second refrigerator was very convenient. It was great to have beach towels and laundry appliances handy - we used them daily and they worked well.
Overall the pictures and description of the house are very accurate. The house is clean and well stocked, beds are very comfortable, the neighborhood is conveniently located with easy access from Lihue and is nice and quiet, the walking path provides easy and quick access to The Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach to the east and Poipu Beaches and Brennecke's to the west. Groceries and shopping are an easy 5 minute drive away in Koloa. It's a great location to launch adventures in any direction. Air conditioning would have been nice but it really wasn't needed. Overhead fans did a good job of cooling the house, especially at night and in the bedrooms.
Great Vacation Rentals also has a program for renting beach equipment (snorkel sets, umbrellas, chairs, coolers etc) as well as a weekly membership to the Poipu Athletic Club. We took advantage of both and they were well worth it.
The GVR staff was helpful and very pleasant to work with and I would recommend this house for large groups

My husband and I made our reservations through TBD Rentals. We were a party of 10 adults and one baby and the home had all the essentials to make our 9 day stay comfortable, relaxing and convenient.
Everything was provided; towels, beach towels, cups, glasses, pots, pans, cutlery, toilet paper, paper towels, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, dishwasher, laundry and dryer, extra sheets and pillow cases etc. The gas tank for the BBQ was not full, so we had called the rental company and they had provided a new tank within an hour. The property was cleaned and well maintained.
The location is within the Poipu Kai Resort and just a 5 minute walk to Poipu Beach.Groceries and restaurants are just a 5-10 minute drive.
Great vacation rental for a big family vacation. Mahalo!

They call this house “Daydream Believer” and believe it – this is a dream! First and foremost, as the saying goes, “location location location.” This home is located right off the greenbelt, slightly closer to Shipwreck Beach than Poipu, but both are just minutes away on foot. It's on a street where most of the other people are residents as opposed to vacation renters, and the ones we met were very friendly. We were a family of 7 – our two girls and their friend stayed in the lower suite, which has a large living room and bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, fridge and washer/dryer, as well as a nice backyard area. They were very comfortable down there and could stay up as late as they wanted without disturbing the rest of the group. The middle floor contains the living/dining/kitchen area, along with a beautiful outdoor eating area balcony with a grill, which we put to good use. It's a beautiful view and so lovely to sit out and have your meal any time of day, with a lot of friendly little birds coming by expecting to be fed. The kitchen has been newly remodeled and is a real pleasure to use. There's also a bedroom on the middle floor with two twin beds, which is where our son lived. On the top floor are two large bedrooms, including the master. There are two bathrooms on this floor, and it is nice and quiet up there. In the past we've had air conditioning when we've been in Poipu, and wondered whether we would miss it. Not at all, was our experience. The house is full of fans and up high enough that there are cross breezes all the time. This house is beautifully landscaped and there is an absolutely spectacular view of the mountains which you see from the living room/kitchen area. We liked the house so much we extended our stay almost a full week. We will definitely be back!
