I’ve stayed at numerous places in Kihei. This is definitely not one of my favorites. Started with the water being turned off for the building with no notice. The bed needs to be replaced, it sinks in the middle. The unit had a flood prior to us arriving which caused an odor during our stay. We ended up leaving early and checking in at a hotel nearby.

Great little condo walking distance from the beach. Everything you need to enjoy your vacation. I loved having the little a/c there when I needed it. Peaceful garden view. I loved it!

I travel a lot and this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed! The “air conditioning” is a small unit in the family room behind a chair. There was black mold growing on the wall next to it. The small air conditioner only cools that room. The bedroom is extremely hot and stuffy. If you want the “window” open you have to climb up on a chair to reach the handle and it’s very difficult to open the slats. The mattress in the master bedroom was sunk in and not comfortable. The chair in the bedroom was stained and old. The sheets did not look clean. I wiped the kitchen counter off with a wipe when we arrived and it was filthy. The whole place smells like mold and is dated and dirty. This condo needs a deep cleaning. We were told one of the days we would have to leave the condo with our belongings for 4 hours while they sprayed the condo, including the beds, for bugs. When I called to say I didn’t want them doing that they refused to reschedule the pest control. I had to use my vacation time to find another place to stay due to the black mold being a major heath concern. Because it was spring break most of the hotels were booked and I ended up paying way more than I had planned. Vacasa customer service was terrible and not helpful. This condo should not rate as excellent on VRBO. It is not well supplied and doesn’t even have a couple of beach chairs. I have always relied on other peoples reviews and they’ve always been accurate. Not this time!

The location was great in reference to the proximity to the shops and beach, but the condo is on the first floor next to the elevators. With single pane glass and the bedroom at the back close the elevators, it was loud. I used earplugs and it was okay but not ideal. Lots of towels and kitchen equipment. Check in was easy. The dishwasher pods and laundry detergent were not plentiful for the 2 week stay but we made it work. Overall we had an awesome time at the beach and early morning walks!

This condo complex is in nice and busy part of Kihei. You could see slow traffic at times, but you are close to lots of shops and restaurants. We never used the two pools, because Kihei Akahi is right across the street from Kamaole II beach. The unit is clean and small and comfortable. The unit is somewhat dated, but it’s kept very clean. The only issue we had was noise from the walkway just behind the bedroom and the noise from the window A/C. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This property is great. Perfect size for two or maybe three people. The location is wonderful and short walk to the beach. It’s also a short walk to the ABC stores and many small restaurants and food trucks. The kitchen is wonderful- gas stove and range and spacious countertops. I booked this place because it was one of the few that had a tv in the bedroom. Unfortunately the tv didn’t work and for some reason only got one channel, Fox News. That was annoying. The beach gear that’s included is old and not that great, we rented two chairs and cooler at Auntie snorkel down the road for less than 50 for the week. The washer and dryer are great and it’s nice to have. I would stay here again. A few things to note- the sofa bed is not comfortable and plan on renting beach gear. Make sure you check in at the front desk and get your parking tag and assigned parking space. No one told me I needed to check in at the front desk so I was given a notice on my car. No problems just didn’t know the process. I look forward to staying there again soon.

The condo has so many supplies and amenities including beach chairs, an umbrella, among other things. If/when we return to Maui, we’d love to stay here again. There’s plenty of activities and shops to explore in Kihei, and lots of wonderful places to eat.
