Ohana Retreat is a rare find in the heart of Poipu as this is the only vacation rental on the island that can accommodate up to 30 lucky guests! This ideal retreat has two separate homes (Lei Ohana and Makanui Estate) both with their own guest house.
Slide open the wall of glass doors at Lei Ohana, kick back on the sofa, and let tropical breezes flow through the open living room while everyone catches up. The kids will love splashing around in the outdoor pool while the adults work on their tan. Grill up lunch on the gas grill and serve it picnic style or at the outdoor lanai table. And at night, the living area is perfect for hosting movie nights on the Smart TV.
The remodeled, open-concept kitchen and dining area are equipped to handle any meal, featuring stainless steel appliances, a granite island, and a dining table to fit the group. Three spacious bedrooms, a den, and a sofa bed offer sleeping options for the whole group. Three full bathrooms make sharing space easy, including an impressive en suite main with a sunken tub and massive walk-in shower.
For those who prefer a bit more privacy, the detached guest house studio sleeps two and includes a full bath, kitchen, and laundry area. With its own wraparound lanai, you can enjoy peaceful ocean views with your morning Kona coffee before meeting up with the group.
Once you've settled in, relax with a good book in the back or front private yards while others in your group play in the lush, tropical grass. With two living area, each with a cable-equipped TV, the adults can keep up with their favorite shows at the main house while the kids watch a movie in the guest house, or bring everyone together for game night. Take the stairs in the atrium to watch the ocean and the sunset. You will see whales in the wintertime from up there.
Right next door on the same property is Makanui Estate which has three beautiful air-conditioned bedrooms. The Makanui guesthouse is a charming one-bedroom sanctuary next door with its own kitchen, BBQ, and two full baths. Plus, you’ll enjoy exclusive ocean views from the second floor of the guest house. The second floor has a split-system air conditioning unit.

This was the perfect set up for our family. We got married at Shipwreck beach and wanted a place where our families could stay together to enjoy a family vacation for the week. It never felt crowded as there were so many spots to relax on the property in their own areas. the location is close to multiple beach options and the rooftop view was perfect to sip a cup of coffee in the morning. It is a beautiful property.

This property is absolutely incredible! Our group had 18 people (7 couples/4 singles) and we rented both the Lei Ohana and Makanui homes - there was plenty of space for everyone to get together and hang out but also have privacy when needed. We loved having the pool, especially because the main living area opens up to the backyard (which has lovely gardens and greenery). The bedrooms were all comfortable and well laid out (note that only the bedrooms in the Makanui house had A/C, but each bedroom had a fan). The hosts were extremely responsive when we had questions (e.g. gate and door codes). I don’t think we could have had a better trip and staying at this property was a huge part of the fun - Already planning when we can come back!

This property was perfect for our family. We had 15 people total and there was more than enough space. Cooking at home was easy with two large kitchens and everyone was able to do laundry with all the washers and dryers. The management team was so helpful when we needed suggestions on beaches and other various questions. This was the best family home!

We were able to come together to eat our meals, have the cousins play and swim, but also allowed everyone a quiet retreat for their own little family. It was beautiful, fully equipped with everything you could need. In the main house the kitchen was large enough to have multiple cooks and helpers. There was a large table outside that worked well for all the kids, and also a large table inside for the adults. It’s close proximity to the beach was perfect for everyone, especially the littlest ones. We would definitely rent this complex again if the right situation arises. I would give this a grade of A+++

3 beautiful luxurious, clean, very well equipped & appointed houses around a great pool, backed by what felt like glorious tropical jungle...1 block from the ocean, about 5 blocks from the beach. Check-in process was very, very bad with wrong door codes & incomplete, wrong wifi information & a pretty big hassle getting someone to help get these things straightened out... a frustrating introduction to our vacation. Minor annoyances included only average repair & upkeep of dwellings & some appliances [tho very clean], half a day of noisy lawn care. To be fair it was peak pandemic. Overall we had a WONDERFUL time mostly due to the location, the design & layout of the property, & the beauty & elegance of the dwellings. :-)Shawn

We all had a wonderful time. There were 14 of us and everyone was able to have their own space. The homes were beautiful and we loved the pool especially. The location was perfect and we went to The beach every day. Our only concern was the Internet connection was not very good
