Less than a mile away at Poipu Shopping Village, boutiques, art galleries, great restaurants, and live Tahitian dance and Hula shows offer an authentic taste of Hawaii. For adventure lovers, Kauai’s South Shore will not disappoint. Get an aerial view of the island with an Eco Adventure Helicopter Tour, zipline through the jungle, embark on a sunset cruise, or explore the Koloa Heritage Trail.
Once you've settled in, relax with a book in the back or front private yards while the kids play out in the lush, tropical grass. With two living areas, each with a cable-equipped TV, the adults can keep up with their favorite shows at the main house while the kids watch a movie in the guest house. The Makanui guesthouse is a charming one-bedroom sanctuary next door with its own kitchen, BBQ, and two full baths. You’ll enjoy exclusive ocean views from the air-conditioned second floor of the guest house. Bring everyone back together for game night and some friendly competition. Fire up the grill when dinnertime hits or take advantage of the open kitchen's essentials, which include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and prep space for multiple cooks to whip up side dishes. Take the stairs in the atrium to watch the ocean and the sunset with your favorite beverage in hand and savor the view before winding down for the night.
This vacation rental can be rented along with Lei Ohana next door as a perfect sport for family reunions or larger groups.

The owner has a private studio on the property, with a separate entrance that is occasionally occupied. The occupants of the owner's studio do not use the grounds of the complex.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Large home that our family enjoyed in a great location. We adapted to the challenges of warm conditions but wish it was made clearer in the description of the house. The air conditioning was not in the kitchen/living area and one person slept on the sofa bed with windows open, ceiling fans, and 3 portable fans and was still warm.
Four bedrooms had A/C. However there are 3 beds in the guest house with no A/C and needed multiple fans to be cool enough to sleep. One window in the guest house kitchen/bedroom would not close and this area was air conditioned.
The screens on the sliding glass doors in the living area kept coming off the track, and one sliding glass door did not open due to the latch being broken.
Overall, the grounds were beautiful, as well as the home.

The pictures don't do this property justice - it's huge, and very bright and airy throughout with plenty of different outdoor living spaces as well. It was very clean, well appointed, and has a perfect location a 15min walk to Poipu Beach.

Great stay. The place was even nicer than the pictures would have led us to believe. Dishwasher wasn`t working on arrival, but quick communication had them installing an entire new dishwasher with an impressively quick turnaround.

This is a great place for a family or a group of friends. Each person/couples gets its own privacy while the common areas have a great layout and super cozy feel.
The house is close from a very nice costal trail and 10-15 min walk from a beach and 20-25 min from a nice surfing spot.

An amazing place for young family- the space, the simple decor, the layout of the place, the rooftop and the fenced in yard was perfect for our family! It was spacious and amazingly clean. Truly comfortable place. Communication with the host was exceptional and quick with responses! A few amenities to get us started on the beach was nice too (beach toys, chairs and boogie boards!
Kitchen was well stocked with utensils a d a great grill.

The home was spacious and accommodating for a large multiple family stay. The large kitchen and open floor plan was a great setting for family fun. Having the bungalow was perfect for our son with young children who went to bed earlier than the rest of us. The location was easy to get to and close to the ocean. We all enjoyed the crows nest!
