It was just okay. There aren’t 2 bedrooms, there’s one and space that has two beds. This place needs serious upgrades. The dining chairs are rickety, and the bathroom/shower offers little to no privacy. We enjoyed our time in Hawaii.

This place was really nice! 17th floor with a perfect view of the mountains. You’re so close to the international market as well! The condo was clean and super nice! Would 100% do this again. Only problem was when we first got there I had to have the building manager let me in the door cause when I called the number given to me nobody answered at all. So communication was an issue but we rarely had any issues so we only had to attempt to contact them 2 times. Overall 10/10 condo!

Description is mis-leading...while it does state that the AC unit is in the Bedroom, what is does NOT state is that it will ONLY cool down the Master Bedroom and NO OTHER ROOM in the Unit. Our stay was miserable. A maintenance person told me that it should be advertised as "only a winter unit". The spare bedroom had a weird window area where it looks like an AC unit "should" be, but it was covered with some sort of fabric squares right by the bed headboard! It had a direct opening into the hallway, and from a security issue, it made my Grandaughter very uncomfortable to sleep there. Lots of wear and tear (paint chipping off, sliding doors falling of the hinges in the bathroom, duct tape on door transitions). Good Layout, just needs a lot of attention. I would not stay there again.

This apartment was a great location to Waikīkī Beach, shops and restaurants. The parking spot was great. The apartment itself had all the things we needed: kitchen appliances, laundry, bathroom toiletries, beach towels, some beach chairs, etc. The AC worked great. There were tvs and WiFi available, but we didn’t use them. There were two sinks areas in each room that attached to the shower/towel room which was great for getting ready. The only thing was the sliding doors to the bathroom area were hard to open and close and the pull out mattress could be updated. There was a nice patio for two to sit or to dry your bathing suits. Plenty of storage and closet space. We would definitely stay here again.

This apartment was a perfect location to downtown Waikiki beach, shops and restaurants. The parking spot was great. The apartment itself was well equipped with kitchen needs, bathroom toiletries, beach towels, etc. It even had some beach chairs and boogie board to use. The AC worked great. There were tvs and WiFi available, but we didn’t use them. The outdoor patio was perfect for two people to sit or dry your towels. The apartment was clean, but the bathroom doors were a bit tricky to slide, however, we loved that there were two sink areas for each room. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the view and were generally pleased, but we feel the following things need to be addressed: More specific steps for checking in and out, using bullet point style.Bathroom doors were very awkward. In fact, those doors and the patio door need to be fixed. It was tough trying to open or close them.We enjoyed the chocolates and bottled water. Thank you! It would make future guests trip easier if you provided a couple items, like coffee filters, and some basic and coffee and tea.

Expensive area so didnt expect a lot. Checking in was a hassle with parking, getting the key fob and then getting back out to the car and then driving into the tight parking garage. Once in room was ok but the window in the main bedroom lets air through constanly. In windy nights the window howled and whistled all night. We figured out in the morning that the window sill has been patched but not well - a little scary for a 17th floor room.Overall the place worked for a few nights but if we return to Waikiki another time we will look for other spots

WHERE. Do I start? The Layout is nice, but that is about it! Soooo many things wrong with this property. AC unit is ONLY in the Master Bedroom, no air circulation in the rest of the unit, making it extremely hot in EVERY place other than the Master Bedroom! 2 Sliding doors falling off the track constantly in the bathroom area. Lots of rusty hinges, chipped paint on doors and trim. Sliding door to patio is so rusted it is virtually impossible to open. Got there and the Pool was “under maintenance” and unusable. (That was NOT made known to me at time of booking.). 2 different maintenance people told me “there have been complaints about this unit before” AND the other said that this should be a “winter unit only” because of the AC problem. Maintenance brought over 2 fans to try and help with the air circulation and heat issue. Having a small kitchen and washer dryer was nice, but it did not overshadow the other issues. I would never stay here again.

Room overall was decent for the price. Location is a little sketchy. But it is where it says. it’s back near the canal. The view from the room and balcony is of the canal. mountain background and the nice golf courses. Walk to the beach was less than 10 mins. Not bad at all. Room had plenty of towels, beach towels, beach accessories. Kitchen was stocked with items for a normal condo rental. Room does need some maintenance. Sliding balcony door was very hard to open/close. The 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. But has 2 vanities with sliding doors separating toilet and shower. Sliding doors are pretty old and keeps falling out the track. Needs work. A/C for the room as a whole, is not real good. Main bedroom has the AC unit and that’s it. All other rooms have a ceiling fan or box fan. Had to move fans around to try to move air around. Most rooms stayed stuffy and warm while the main bedroom was cold. A watch out is the door fob. the building is pretty secured. The fob opens/closes the parking garage, entry into the building and access to the elevator. For a family of 5 that wants to go here and there, you really need to coordinate to get into/out of the building. Overall price was fair and we did like the cancellation and refund policy. For our family circumstances, the cancellation policy was a plus. We didn’t have any issues with the tenants or others in the building. Just be aware, you are renting a condo in a building that also has regular tenants.

Our stay was fair. Pros and cons. Price is reasonable for location and is walking distance from center of Waikīkī beach less then 10 min walk. Room had plenty of beach towels, towels and rags, soaps and kitchen cleaning supplies and kitchenware. Room also had several beach items so we didn’t need to buy anything. Did like the option of cancellation timeline and refund, which was important to us given our family circumstances. Other reviews are correct in that the A/C was not great at all. Main bedroom is only one with AC. All other rooms were a box fan or ceiling fan. Master bedroom had to stay cold and we had use fans to move air around the best we could. Still was warm/ stuffy during the day in all other rooms. It is 2 bath vanity with shared toilet and shower. Room is in dire need of maintenance work on the balcony door. Very hard to open and close. This was on past reviews and never addressed from what we experienced. Toilet/shower space is separated by 2 sliding doors. Again in rough shape and dire need of repair with sliding and staying in the rails. It comes with a key fob to get in the building and also in/out of garage. It is secured which was good because of the sketchy location since it’s not on the main strip. A watch out. With a family of 5 and all waiting to go here and there, you need to coordinate entering/exiting by foot and car. Fob opens/closes the garage door but also into/out of the building and entry into the elevator. Washer/Dryer was handy.

There are positives and negatives during our stay.I. Positives:1. Vacasa representatives were very responsive. Thank you for your prompt responses to all my correspondences. The one star I rated for the property manager did not apply to Vacasa representatives.2. Spacious unit. We did not lack anything.3. Assigned parking spot. A great plus.4. Furnished balcony. We enjoyed sitting out there.5. Nice view of the river, the golf course, and the mountains.6. Security. We felt safe with the key fob because no one could use the elevator to access the units without the fob. We had an experience where this stranger waited at the door to enter the building as we exited on the first floor. He then asked us to use our key fob so he could use the elevator. We said no and felt safer. II. Negatives:1. Listed property manager never picked up the phone, called back, nor responded.2. The bathroom sliding doors needed to be fixed, especially the one in the second bedroom. My friend's hand got hurt because the door kept coming off rail. 3. The floor in the master bedroom needed to be fixed due to wide gaps and someone could trip or heels could get caught in the gaps, which was a falling hazard.4. Check-out instructions were inconsistent and conflicting, especially regarding the return of the key fob. 5. Only one key fob and unit key, which made it inconvenient when we returned at different times.Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and we enjoyed our stay at this unit.

The unit is showing its age and is in need of an update. The master has water damaged flooring, that is falling a part. Building is very secure, you need an electronic fob to access the building and elevators, parking garage, only problem is that Vacasa only supplies one key fob for the unit. When someone from your group has to run anywhere they need to take the fob, that makes anyone left in the condo prisoner until the person with the fob returns.I must say we has a repair issue and the person doing the repair worked quickly and did a wonderful job, he started on a Friday, needed a part ordered an returned bright and early Monday morning to finish the repair. Five stars for that part of the process. Checking was a joke, there is a call box where you call some one to give you entry into the building, they never responded, calls went to voicemail. Called the local manager, same thing calls went to voice mail, finally ended up renting a hotel for the first night, Came back the next day, same issue no one answered the call box, I was able to follow someone into the building and got access to the lock box so that we could come an go as needed. We would stay there again, even knowing what we know, as the title says, Location, Location, Location, it is close to everything you want in Honolulu, the beach is a 7 minute walk, food, stores with in the same time frame. The location is a 10/10, the biggest let down was the local staff.

We had an amazing time in the apartment. The view on the mountains is great and the location is perfect. Just a 10min walk away from Waikiki Beach and the city centre.

The restroom doors did not close well. They kept getting stuck and made loud noises, almost as if it were breaking. We weren’t given a parking fob so we parked in front of the lobby for the duration of our stay after waiting in the street for a long time while management sorted everything out, it was very disorganized and we didn’t get any clear updates on what to do. The beds were not comfortable. The sofa bed was very dirty and broken so we had to put it on the floor. It was so thin and the springs were so old that you could touch the floor when sitting on it. Additionally, there were no extra linens for the sofa bed/inflatable mattress. There was an inflatable mattress but no charger for the inflating machine. We were asking to start the dishwasher but no soap was provided for it. No broom on site, vacuum did not work well. The only positive thing was the location, it is very close to the beach and other tourist areas.

The unit was nice. Great location, well equipped and clean. The shower needs to be updated, with water damage in the shower area. Unfortunately, everything was overshadowed by poor performance from the property mgt company Vacasa. We received a text saying the unit was ready early. We arrived at the unit, followed the instructions at the call box to gain entry and got voicemail. Two more attempts and still only voicemail. We then called Vacasa who provided an after hours number. We call that number and get voicemail again. The after hours location suggests calling the daytime number as an option but doesn’t provide a daytime number. A tenant saw we had a reservation was kind and let us in. The instructions then say go to the lock box and get the key. No key in the lock box., turns out the unit has a keypad lock, but the directions said it was a key - had to contact Vacasa again to get the keypad code. Arrival instructions need to be updated. Next day we leave the unit and find a family out front with the same problem we had. Vacasa and. VRBO need to take a good look at their customer support model. We made these comments to Vacasa employees but were not left with any confidence anything would be addressed. Hopefully this more public forum will drive changes and avoid problems for future travelers.

We received nasty notes on the door from neighbors cause of an A/C unit that was on when we arrived. The pull out was not functional. Check in was extremely confusing. The paint in the bathroom shower area is hanging down. Place needs a serious update. The. Side table next to the couch is dangerous and not well made or balanced, ended up falling on one of our feet when it was bumped. The chairs for the dining are have been reupholstered but not well and has excess material hanging off them. The counters and stove were still dirty from the previous person. Any time we had a kind of question, comment, or concern support was prompt in response but dismissive.

Window broken allowed anyone in the hallway to reach into the room, window in main room won’t close because of the air conditioner so wing howled through it all day and night making it hard to sleep. The place is dirty, the curtans, fan, fridge and shower are disgustingly dirty. Only one key so we couldn’t leave the condo without all of us going together. I want my money back. It should be illegal to rent this place.

This is a fantastic place to stay and take in the beauty of Waikiki. A lovely welcome arrangement of local coffee and chocolates and water was much appreciated after a long day of travel. The rental was clean with lots of bathroom linens and cleaning supplies for a weeklong stay, there were plenty of beach chairs/towels, initial entry instructions were clear, and the building was centrally located within walking distance of everything (the beach, shops, restaurants).
I would highly recommend this rental should you be in the market for a beach-area vacation.

Amazing view and location is perfect, everything is walking distance to the condo.
The unit itself has working appliances but has limited kitchen accessories. It needs deep cleaning as windows and corners are all very dirty and dusty. Closets are cluttered, bathroom sliding doors and patio sliding doors are not working properly, fans that were provided was very dirty and barely work to cool the place down. Sofa bed is uncomfortable, you can feel the springs on it.
Overall, the unit need a little TLC which wa a mentioned before but seems like it hasn’t been paid attention too by Vacasa or the owner. It would be a great place to stay if only they did a little upgrade, stock, and organize the place up properly.

After I told vrbo in a phone call that the remote control to open the security door for the parking garage did not work. I was going to purchase new batteries to see if that solved the problem. Vrbo blocked all emails and phone calls from me and never responded. After the 3rd day of not being able to park in the garage I found the property manager Jody. Jody informed me that vrbo never contacted her or the condos owner about the remote control. Jody quickly informed the owner and got us a new remote control. Vrbo did nothing to help solve the problem they do not even have a staff member on Oahu. The condo hoa association fees pay for the high speed internet for the entire build. Vrbo also tried to take credit for that.

Overall we were happy with the space, beds, location, and appliances. The unit wasn’t the cleanest. There was clutter in closets and drawers. The pool wasn’t available. The AC was functional, but our first night was uncomfortable until we properly cooled down the whole unit. We didn’t cook at all bc the dishes and cookware left a lot to be desired. All of that said, we would probably rent again knowing what to expect.

Overall, the unit is fine. Not terrible, but also not the best. It’s in a good location that’s walkable to the beach and main streets of Waikiki. However, the AC does not work properly, which is important given the warm Hawaii weather. The AC pipe that expels hot air outside was broken so the hot air was coming into the master bedroom. Defeated the whole purpose of having AC. The owner was responsive when I texted but the first thing she said was that AC is not an amenity listed on the website. That's fine, but the listing is misleading because she responded to all previous reviews and said the AC was fixed. We set up fans to circulate air, but it was pretty inconvenient. There were other issues with the unit that has been called out by other reviewers (e.g., bathroom doors, patio door lock) that were still not working properly. The place overall was fine as a place to sleep. However, this place does not have working AC if that's an important factor. Also, this unit doesn't provide toiletries to last more than one day (e.g., shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets). I'd recommend bringing your own or buying them at a nearby store.

The place has a nice view, has plenty of space. Fit 5 of us friends, no problem. Cute patio. Located within walking distance from the beach. There is a biki bike outside of the building, very convenient. The complicated part of this place is there is only one key. So, if you have groups that want to do different things at different times, it is complex to discuss who will have the key. You must need the key to go up to the room, no key is required to go down. Got to be strategic when going outside of your group. Also, the bathroom lights is complicated, too. There were times where you need to go to the other room to turn on the light, this reduces the privacy level. The key and light situation was my only reason for the four star. If there were at least two keys for the place, I would have given a 5 star.

This was a great location with restaurants, shops, and Waikiki Beach within walking distance and close to a grocery store and the highway to explore the island.
The condo was clean and had good space for our family of 4. It could be better maintained; e.g. light bulbs out, toilet paper roll on the back of the toilet, AC unit a bucket to catch the condensation which had to be monitored and dumped out.
Communication with the local VACASA representative left a lot to be desired; we could not get ahold of them to check into the building so a resident had to let us in to get to the keys and when we got locked out they were not available to help. Communication with the remote VACASA support staff was great. Nicole kept checking in with us to be sure we got back into the apartment even though her shift was over.

Our stay here was very upsetting. Though the location is convenient, we would highly encourage people to find somewhere else to stay. Vacasa and the Monte Vista’s customer support was awful. We were never able to get in contact with the host, even when locked out of the building. We left messages with Maddie (the host) and Tiana about being locked out, but we never received any response. When talking with Jodi (Monte Vista front desk), she was rude, condescending, and unhelpful when we tried to seek help.
The keys provided caused issues for us. You cannot access the building without having the keys, so if guests have different plans it becomes stressful trying to figure out how to get into the building. When talking with Vacasa about getting extra keys, we were promised an extra set during our stay, but they never followed through. Part of this can be attributed to the 7 different Vacasa support representatives I spoke to. Each time having to re-explain issues and frustrations.
Vacasa never showed a desire to accommodate for our issues during our stay. Outside of the keys, the AC unit was broken. They were unwilling to consider a partial refund because it was not in the listing (though included in the photos). Regardless, if there is a unit and it is broken this displays poor care on Vacasa and our host.
The place is poorly maintained and it was clear Vacasa and our host had no desire in making our stay more comfortable. Very disappointed in the lack of responses and unprofessional customer support. I have stayed at many rental places and have had good to great experiences. This was an awful experience.
Please, find somewhere else to stay. Half our group left the Monte Vista during the stay because of the poor quality and frustrations of staying here

loved staying here and the property management team was so communicative! The AC is in the bedroom so it does get a little warm but the fans helped.
The only criticism I have is the master bedroom curtains. They are white and linen - the sun blasts in very early and very bright! My husband and I wore eye masks and it still wasn’t enough. This was very annoying and could easily be remedied- others have left the same feedback so not sure what the hold up is. It’s something little that makes a huge difference. Overall amazing place five min walking from the beach.

The condominium was just as described, with great views from the lanai. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping is the best part of our stay. The sleeping arrangement was perfect for our family of four. The only thing I would suggest, the condo could be cleaner, and the dryer vent is detached from exit vent do the heat from the dryer stayed in the condo.

Very warm and difficult to get a cross breeze due to unvented door to hallway. Ceiling fans were too slow to be helpful. Of the 2 additional fans provided. Only one was strong enough to provide air flow. Lastly, the portable air conditioner jutted into the bedroom making it difficult to pass to the far side of the bed. And the condensate collection bucket had to be emptied at least daily (and that is not how i like to spend vacation time). But the unit did make the temperature in the main bedroom more tolerable.

Hi, the location was not bad but he apartment is very run down and it was very dirty. The furniture is old and broken down, the light in the shower area sometimes worked and sometimes not, the toilet seat was broken, the air conditioning was poor at best, the deck furniture was pitifual. It was very secure but the hallway was not lighted so at night it was difficult to see door handle with lock. The checkin process was hard, getting the keys to work was difficult with no instruction. We DO Not recommend anyone staying there.

This was a good location / property for us to spend a a few days in Honolulu visiting friends. We did not spend a lot of time in the unit itself and the pool was unexpectedly closed so I cannot comment on it. The location is within walking distance to all of the beaches, shopping, restaurants, and sights in Waikiki. It’s super easy to catch the local bus if you do not have a rental car. The dedicated parking stall is a big plus otherwise.
The check in process is confusing and could be improved. You need the garage clicker/elevator fob to get in and out of the parking garage, to go up to the floor from parking, or to go to the parking floor. This could be made clearer.
The views of Ala Wai and mountains are beautiful at night but the sun comes in blazing in the morning. Darker shades would help a bit.
There was a cooling unit in the main bedroom that really helped keep the temperature down but since we did not know we needed to empty the water in the bucket regularly, we almost had a bit of an incident. The manager helped to explain that this was normal.
The unit was well stocked with toiletries and towels. The kitchen was a great size. All in all, no complaints.

Nice place to stay with a very beautiful view, 5 minutes walking distance to busy Honolulu. This condo has everything you need, a little bit outdated doors and windows but we barely stayed inside to pay attention to it. We just cooked breakfast and left for the whole day until the night. Thank you

We were able to walk to Waikiki restaurants, scooter rental place (so fun!), Duke Kahanamoku statue. View is pleasant, overlooking golf course I think and water channel. I would say appropriate for price. Good value. Closets needs to be cleared of junk.

The place was awesome, but the main air conditioning unit was Out Of Order and less effective unit was in the bedroom. The bedroom was relatively cool but I bought an additional fan to use in the bedroom because I was still not cool enough to sleep comfortably. This caused the living room and additional bedrooms to remain very warm to my standards.

The condo itself is pretty dated and electrical along with doors in bathroom very diminished. Not really convenient for family of 5-6 people. Location and staff are impeccable!!!

The property management email had wrong phone number for the property contact.
This place needed major cleaning!
The place was very dusty when we arrived.
Floors were very dirty, we requested mop and we cleaned the floors ourselves.
We washed all the linens when we arrived.
Bed Linens, pillows, and curtains are old, and stained needs to be replaced.
There are no proper outgoing air vent for the dryer. Dryer vent hookup are not installed correctly caused massive lint and hot air to blow back in the room.
There are No toilet paper holder or towel racks installed.
No beach towels provided
Unable to use any closet space. They are full of their unused furnitures, junk, etc.
Faucets handles are installed backwards and loose.
No screen doors to lanai.
We cleaned the AC filter. It was full of thick dust
Ceiling Fan we’re taped not working in spare bedroom.
Window shade has broken blinds in spare bedroom
No smoke detectors installed.
Changed out 3 Light bulbs that were out and missing.
No all purpose cleaners or laundry detergents provided as indicated on provided amenities.
When windy, Windows in master made whistling sounds.
Mildew in Shower stall.

We spent over 30 mins trying to figure out how to get into the locked parking garage. You have to get out of your car, go through a lobby with no staff, find some obscure door, go down dark hallway into car garage, find a bar on the wall with unmarked key locks, find the correct one and put in the code. Once you get your key, you have to go back out to the car, get through the gates and then park in your stall. We had to make several phone calls to get ahold of the guy who is not on property to be told all of this. Would have been helpful to be more detailed in the email. Then you need the key to get up and down the elevator and they have only one key. It was super frustrating. The notes to leave the condo say to leave the keys inside, but you need them to get down the elevator, to your car, and out of the gate... we felt like we were in some sort of escape room. The bathroom doors are pocket doors that barely open and close and the ceiling fan was taped together so that it wouldn’t move. You can see that they’re trying to renovate it, because the kitchen is nice and there’s a new washer/dryer, but there is still work to do. The view is beautiful once you are in there. We just stayed for one night and for the price and location it was worth it.

We were in a pinch and needed a place while our condo was in repairs. We found the place to be a great building. The view was great. We did have trouble with the wind and the windows not being well sealed would we could hear wind whistling many nights.
