The location was great and the view amazing. The rental is a little run down. Pictures on line sell it. Cockroaches are a thing. But the worst part was a day and a half of construction starting at 8am two mornings on the condo next door with adjoining wall. We will not rent here again.

We have stayed at Kahana Reef many times in the past in various units. The condo itself was fine. Great view! It was clean. However, the issue we had was a major renovation going on that we were not made aware of. There were signs around the complex indicating it was a 10-week planned renovation. The air hammer was so noisy we could not carry on a conversation in our condo. We come to Hawaii to relax and this was not possible between 9-4 week days. We should have been advised and given options to cancel. We were in contact with the managing company (Vacasa). It took several days and numerous phone calls, e-mails and texts to get resolution. This was valuable vacation time I spent. In the end (after 12 nights in this condo) we were moved to another condo not too far away for our final 4 nights. We were very happy with that condo. I feel Vacasa should have responded earlier with a solution. A very disappointing stay and we will be very careful about booking any condo managed by Vacasa in the future.

Pros: The location is prime and the space itself was setup great and cozy! Parking was easy. Great semi-remodeled space. Watch turtles swim by from the balcony all day long. Issues: The parking permit was expired and no one was at their office, used the expired for our two nights there without issue. Bedroom needs blackout curtains, they have blinds that are broken and the building hallway light emits the bedroom along with the sunrise in the morning. Warning - do not book if you are the type that does not like a bright room to sleep in. Be sure to check if construction is ongoing! The listing DID NOT mention there had been construction going on since 10/3, all units had notices taped to their door. Every day 8am-4pm they were drilling the concrete floors to remove old carpeting on the halls, right in front of this unit and the bedroom which sits on that hall. Wish this was knowledge supplied prior as we couldn’t sleep in or spend the day relaxing inside the space.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and were wanting for nothing. The condo was very clean, well-equipped, and modern. Very tasteful decor - no floral print couches and blankets from the 80's. Appliances and kitchen are very modern. Beach towels, boogie boards, cooler, and other items are also provided.

We had a great time here! The place is just as described, clean, updated and comfortable. From morning sun shining on Molokai to gorgeous sunsets every single night, we had a perfect trip. We saw whales every day from our lanai. The building is quiet and nicely kept up. Communication with property managers was fast and led to quick resolution of a minor problem. We definitely look forward to returning!

How can one not be joyful this is Maui!!! This property is perfect for me. It is oceanfront and the complex is not oversized so is very easy to get around. I used the pool everyday and enjoyed watching the playful whales and turtles During the day and the wonderful sunsets at night The property is getting older and could have some up dating done but it is well maintained. The unit was well equipped but again could maybe use an update on some of the kitchen items but was not a deal breaker for me One of the stove burners did not work so I contacted the property manager who replied very promptly however it took a second email (three weeks later) before the burner was repaired. Again the property management was very polite and apologetic and a repair person came the next day. I was here for five weeks and totally relaxed and enjoyed the winter get away

Fantastic oceanfront condo. Saw some amazing sunsets every night sitting on the lanai. Only thing we didn’t like is we definitely could have used more bath towels. Overall, this place was amazing and the people who live here were so nice.

We had some concerns with half of the parking lot closed for resurfacing. An additional parking lot across the street accommodated additional parking, but without enough spaces. I reached out to the owners to see where we should park to not get towed. They never responded. I want anyone staying to have realistic expectations. If something happens on your vacation or with the property, don't expect to hear from the landlords.

I gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟...it’s a beautiful place-fully renovated, very spacious, and well kept. It wasn’t full paradise because the exterior part of it needs a bit of renovation.....I was a bit uneasy when I first arrived and saw the building. Though, it may be a bit dated, I must say, it was very well maintained when it comes to cleanliness. Thank you for the wonderful memories- the view was Exquisite and was Paradise......waking up to the peaceful sounds of waves, being oceanfront and enjoying my morning cup of coffee as I watched the sunrise - was timeless and unforgettable. Loved every second I spent here!!! 🥰😘🥰
