Very clean upon arrival. The carpet in the master is pretty old and crusty, but I'm sure just worn out from many visitors. The condo was built in the 60s and has an older feel to it. Price is adequate and location to the big beaches nearby was handy. Nice browns and pool. No access to the ocean from, but a small viewing area.

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean and well equipped (kitchen, beach towels, flippers). Nice garden view from the balcony, nice balcony furniture, with very short walk to beach to watch the whales and sunset. 10 min walk to Dukes and some good places to eat within easy 5 minute walk. Only comment would be that the bathroom / bathtub could use an update.

The hostess was helpful before we came. The rooms were clean. The location is nice, if you have a car. You are in a very expensive region of Maui at a very good price. However it is not a luxury property (which costs more and you get more). It is relaxing and simple. The internet is very good. The pool is nice. The sunsets are amazing. We are happy that the kitchen is not stripped of all of the little things, such as mustard, salt, pepper, etc., which happens at all of the big resorts. Thank you very much for making your home available to guests.

It was in a fairly quiet complex a short walk or drive from food trucks and restaurants in fact the poke shop across the street was quite good! We visited 3 islands on our Hawaiian tour and would come back to this location!

This property was great, other than having downstairs neighbors that woke up at 4am and having them smoking on the patio. It was great. Shanna was very helpful.

The condo needs a little updating. There were cracks on ceiling in the bathroom. The refrigerator did not keep my food/drinks cold. The freezer took a day to freeze water bottles. Other than that, availability of items such as beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, etc was sufficient.

A quite condo next to the water we like the area and the property was ok except for the bathroom. The shower curtains hasn’t been replaced maybe over 3 months moldy and bathroom itself is old. I would stay somewhere else for a few dollars more.

My husband, myself and our son stayed here for a few nights. Very cute little condo! We had a good time, only complain is the pull out couch/sofa could use a bit of an upgrade. It’s really rough and uncomfortable. But other than that, no complaints. We were happy with our stay!

The location is pretty good as the beach is close and has nice snorkeling. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The kitchen was really well stocked with tools we needed. The complex was cute with lots of foliage. The unit itself could use some TLC like paint, trim, and carpet cleaning. We encountered one large cockroach. It probably needs a deep clean overall- looks like it has been a little bit since the last one.

This was our first time booking on VRBO and we were just so excited that this property was in a nicely centered location to what we wanted to see and do. It really was 100 steps to the beach which we took full advantage of.
There were easy walkable places to grab a bite and good coffee.
Overall location was primo, amenities were great and we had an amazing first trip to Hawaii while staying here!

I messaged the property manager 5 days ago without a response so I will just leave my review now. My friend and I arrived at the check in time, 4 p.m. The condo was still being cleaned.. we had to wait outside until 4:20 for it to be done. When we entered it was clean and the kitchen is stocked with different kind of pots and pans and spices. The pullout couch did not have any sheets to put over the mattress cover so I had to put blankets over for a makeshift sheet. The bathroom area had two spaces for getting ready, but it could use some updating as the bathtub floor had the rubber slits to avoid slipping but they were coming off and lifting. The location is nice and close to lots of fun things. The parking space designated for the condo is on the opposite side of the complex so I would recommend dropping luggage off and then driving to the parking spot. The communication has been poor since I have not received a message back about having to wait past the check in time due to cleaning taking longer than planned. I was not reached out to for a heads up on this or else I wouldn’t have wasted my time waiting outside.

We stayed at beautiful Maui, and Maui sands were our home for a week. Kids loved the pool on the property. All the beach stuff you can ask for was available at the property. The club house has a clean grill we used for making dinner. The property manager was kind and responsive to our needs.

My family of 4 stayed at Maui Sands in October.
We loved that this a place that was walking distance to the ocean, included wifi, parking, and a/c (just in case).
Every evening, we gathered at the wall and watched the sunset - I can't think of a better place than this spot to watch the sunset. The grounds of this spot are amazing with tropical trees, and even a banana tree! My kids swam in the ocean and enjoyed the pool every day!
The kitchen is fully equipped - and a grocery store is a 5 minutes walk away.
Tips:
1. Wear water shoes if you go swimming. There is coral that is razor-sharp.
2. Watch the sunset - its worth it.
3. Don't over plan your trip - just relax and enjoy Maui.

This property was the perfect stay for my Maui getaway and I’m hesitant to say how great it was because I want to make sure it’s here when I come back! That location is prime, and the view is serene. Shanna was prompt and excellent at communicating, while also detailing specific points of interest across the island to check out that suited my family and I.
This was a vacation to remember and can’t wait to return.
Thank you Shanna for allowing us to feel like you Ohana (family in Hawaiian) while on our Maui get-a-way!

For the most part, a visitor may find this a nice location and unit...easy access to a calm tide pool fronting the property.
I had some concerns which the owner had reached out to me and mitigated the next day.
The living room and bedroom AC keeps the unit cool, a lot of room in the fridge, and the kitchen supplies stocked, although the unit does show its age.
There is one parking stall allocated to the unit so do not plan on more than one vehicle. The pool is okay and open 8am-8pm, with a patio and grill.
I plan to reach out directly to the owner and do feel that a visitor would like staying here.

The condo was great!! Steps from the water with a breath taking view. Momma whales and calves right in front of us! (during season) Easy to get to, and close to stores, restaurants, etc. easy 40 min drive from airport, and the view is worth it!

The location is great, close to many beaches and very easy access to Lahaina. Would have given a 3 out of 5 star rating but the cockroach greeting us from the toaster ruined the stay for us. We avoided using the kitchen and were always worried more were lurking. The overall the unit is nice but could use some updating/maintenance.

We had a fantastic stay at this condo. The unit was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked many of our own meals and there was a market within walking distance, as well as a number of restaurants. Parking was a breeze and we used the chairs, snorkeling gear and boogie boards available at the condo. Overall fantastic stay in Maui!

We booked at the last minute and so glad we found a cozy, inviting rental that turned out to be just what we wanted. This is not the high rise mega condos but a small community that makes you feel more connected to the area. The rental is updated but you can see some of its age.
The decor and amenities were nice and the rental team was very responsive to any minor issues we encountered.
The parking is a bit of a hassle but we enjoyed walking more.

Overall the property and location were great. Shanna was very helpful and answered quickly if we had any problems come up. The check-in was super easy and we had no problems with it. The place itself was clean when we came in and had everything you would need inside pots, pans, towels, spices, you name it. I would definitely stay here again and was glad that it was our place for the 3 days we stayed there.
