We loved our stay. The house was perfect for our family of six adults and two children. It's very well equipped inside and has all you'll need for the beach!! The outdoor space is very private, roomy and the large heated pool was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Debbie’s house! Plenty of space for 8 of us ranging from 2 to 72. The ground floor master was helpful for a member with limited mobility. We enjoyed mornings at the beach with afternoons at the pool. Very clean, everything you need and Debbie was so helpful! We came shortly after the Lahaina fires and she was very responsive leading up to our time there given all the uncertainty and helpful once there. For those wondering about Maui right now, our experience was one of welcome and many thank yous from locals for coming. West Maui is closed, but the rest of the island is very open and wants you there. We wouldn’t have known anything was going on and were able to enjoy a relaxing family getaway.

Words cannot describe how thrilled we were with this vacation home. The pictures in the listing were accurate and upon arrival did not disappoint. My wife commented multiple times how much she loved it. Debbie was outstanding as property manager- her communication prior to our trip and during was top notch. This home has everything you need for your vacation. The beach chairs umbrellas coolers etc are ideal and made this trip effortless. I highly, highly recommend!!!

We had such an amazing stay during our time in Maui! Debbie was very responsive and was always available to answer any questions/ concerns we had! There were 8 of us all above the age of 21 and there was plenty of space! The pool was excellent and the beach toys/chairs/umbrellas were such a great addition! The house was clean and well maintained! Debbie truly thought of everything! If we return to Kihei we would love to stay here again!

What a wonderful trip we had staying at Hale Makai! The home was beautiful and perfectly arranged for a family trip. The pool was perfect for cooling off and all of the outside spaces were really wonderful for dining alfresco. Debra was so helpful and kind when we needed her, but otherwise, she left us alone (well, except for the watermelon she dropped off). We can't wait to go back!!

This spacious home was the perfect location in Kihei to explore Maui, visit the best beaches, get to and from the airport and just RELAX! Our family of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! From the pool (amazing!), ping pong table (tournaments lol), all the beach gear (chairs, mats, towels, umbrella, wagon, pool floats, etc)!), perfect location (to get to everything!) all made our week in Maui unforgettable! Debra is super responsive, she checked in to say Hi and make sure everything was good, and even let our son and daughter-in-law checkin early as the rest of the families flights were delayed. Don’t hesitate to book, you’ll love the home!

Mahalo to Debbie! Your beautiful house, yard and pool were amazing. All eight of us enjoyed ourselves so much. Kings size beds were a plus. House is close to beach, stores and restaurants. Beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and water toys were a huge hit. I recommend staying at this beautiful home. Hope to be back soon.

We booked the property based on location and exceptional reviews and we were not disappointed! The property was clean upon arrival and the pool is absolutely amazing. We had 2 families in the house (4 adults and 5 children) and it fit us all perfect with plenty of space. The outdoor area really gives the house a larger feel and it’s perfect for watching the kids swim. We used the pool every day of our stay and it was really a highlight for the kids after days at the beach. Debbie was an exceptional host from start to finish and we can’t recommend the house enough for families wanting to stay in the Kihei area.

We spent an amazing week at Debbie’s house. The house is clean, spacious and with 4 bedrooms was perfect for our family of 5. The pool is clean and refreshing after a day at the beach. The outdoor space is well laid out and we are all our meals outside. Our theee boys spent (10,13 and 15) all their free time in the ping pong room or in the pool when we were not exploring the island.
The location is perfect for trips all over the island.
We met Debbie on site and had quick replies for all our communications.
In other words a perfect house to rent.

The house was a perfect fit for us and our 3 adult kid and their spouses. All king beds, plenty of common area and comfortable couch. Love the outside patio and again plenty room for all of us to sit to eat and play games. We also had plenty of supplies- beach towels, chairs, coolers, umbrellas and stuff for the beach.
Only negative was little ants- was diligent about wiping counters and sweeping up, we used some ant bait things but didn’t make a huge difference. They don’t bite and hey, we are in a tropical environment so minor annoyance.

We had such a great time on our trip to Maui! The home was big enough for my family of 5 plus my parents and my mother-in-law. There is plenty of room to spread out, and the ping-pong table and pool provided hours of fun and entertainment for the whole family. The location of the house was in close proximity to the beach, even though we had to cross a fairly busy street. It was still walkable and enjoyable. We really appreciated having access to beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and a cooler! It made our trips to the beach so easy! The only downside about our stay was that there were a lot of very small ant like insects in the home despite keeping the trash container closed and taking it out frequently. There were a lot in the kitchen on the counter and in the cupboards where they got into some of our food items. Debbie was so responsive and helpful and even quickly brought a lighter for my birthday cake candles within five minutes of a text! Thank you for an amazing home that provided our family with so many great memories!

This house is on a quiet street and landscaped so beautifully you feel like you’re in a botanical garden. The salt water pool was an awesome plus after a busy adventurous day. The ping pong table also provided some very fun competition. The house is super roomy and pleasingly well decorated. I would definitely book again.

On a quiet street five minutes from the beach, but very close to Safeway etc. All the rooms are a great size, lots of areas for people to be by themselves. The pool is glorious and Debbie was on hand when needed but never obtrusive. All the surf and snorkel equipment was really great. We came to celebrate a milestone birthday and the kids are already figuring out when we can next all get together...

This was our first time on Maui and it lived up to the hype. The island truly is remarkable and offers so much variety to keep a vacation fresh and exciting. This was a wonderful house to serve as home base. Our group consisted of my mother, wife, teenage daughter, 2 teenage sons, 3 year old son and myself. The house was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. Numerous extras are included with the property and the pool was very nice. Debra was very welcoming and seemed personally invested in our happiness while visiting the island. I would not hesitate to return to this property in the future.

The property was great. It was just as the pictures showed. We had 6 adults and 2 small children. There was plenty of room. The house manager was very responsive and welcoming. Due to the number of people we had two vehicles and no problems with parking.

We were a family of 7 adults and 2 children, ages 2 1/2 and 9 months. This felt like home away from home. The pool was great… enjoyed by all and floaters and life jackets were provided. 2 blocks from the beach… wagon and beach chairs provided. Loved that all 4 bedrooms had king beds. We had everything provided for the young kids that we needed. Made our life SO much simpler! Having Deb on site was so helpful if we had questions and really everything was explained so questions were few! We were central to almost everything to do on the island. House was very clean and furnishings were perfect for us. It would have been nice to have another shower available but we grownups we’re able to manage! I would highly recommend this location for a terrific Maui vacation.

A lovely home just perfect for our extended family of 6 adults and 4 kids. Location is close to get to all the attractions of Mauii but being able to retreat to the privacy of the backyard pool after a long day was the best feature. The kids (of all ages up to 63) spent hours in the pool daily. Everything about the rental was smooth and easy.

This is in a nice quiet neighborhood with good off street parking and lots of room for everyone. The heated pool was a hit with all ages and the game room gave the kids a separate space to be kids. The house was clean, fully furnished and equipped for our group of 10. The covered outdoor area was perfect for all meals and the large grill was a nice bonus. Debbie was great to work with and obviously takes pride in her home. Lovely time for us all.

Debbie is a fantastic host and was readily available for any questions or area recommendations. The house is spacious enough that we can each have personal space, but also comfortable for us to gather so we can cook, eat, and hang out as a group.
Location is fantastic and easy walk to the beach or quick drives to others. Plenty of beach gear for the family and coolers. Grocery story is nearby so you can cook and grill since the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pans.

This place was amazing!! Debbie was an exceptional host and very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process and during our stay.
The house was equipped with everything you would ever need in Maui, we were blown away by everything the house had to offer. The backyard porch (lanai) and the pool was the best part of the house, we ate every meal outside next to the pool. The kids were in the pool every day and it was a great set up.
We stay at VRBOs every time we travel and this one tops our list!! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!!

This was our first stay at a VRBO home, and we loved this home! It was very clean, and there was plenty of room for our party of seven. The pool was awesome, and we spent a lot of time in it or on the deck reading or visiting.
The back yard, patio, outdoor shower, and beach supply shed were terrific. We expected the shed to have a couple of children's beach pails and shovels, but it included 8 beach chairs, boogie boards, and more. We ate outside at the picnic tables on the back porch often. It was wonderful.
The air conditioner was fabulous and the fans in each room were heavy-duty and cooled things off amazingly.
Finally, Debbie was great to work with, very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. We happily recommend this home and vacation experience!

We celebrated our daughter's wedding by spending a week here. There were eight of us. The host was warm and welcoming. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The backyard and pool area was Paradise. We used the available snorkeling equipment, boogie board, coolers, beach chairs and even a wagon.

This property was exactly as described. We split the house with another family and it accommodated everyone perfectly. It had 2 adult rooms and 2 rooms with 2 twin beds in each room perfect for the kids. We used the house as a home base to enjoy the Kehei area and came home to nights by the BBQ and pool. You can easily walk to the beach for sunsets, but I would recommend a car for a quick drive to the best beaches in the area. Debbie was amazing at making sure all our needs were met. I would highly recommend this house to any family looking to explore the Kehei area.

Excellent home in Kihei, which we found was a great location to stay in Maui. (Kihei is central to practically everything).
The house is nested on a cul-de-sac and is just outside the hustle and bustle of Kihei. (Ululani’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice is just down the road right next to the Sugar Beach Bake Shop. Both are must visits).
The home is furnished well with everything you will need for a day at the beach and for relaxing when you return from a day in the sun. Kids loved the pool and ping pong table.
Debbie is great: very helpful, responsive, and welcoming. Best of all she is just steps away.
Just from sharing photos and our experience with this home we have had a few friends who asked for the home details so that they could reserve it for their visits to Maui. So, yes, we definitely recommend this home in Kihei.

Debbie did a phenomenal job communicating with us leading up to the trip as well as once we arrived.
Location was centrally located to beaches in the south as well as easy drive to attractions in Lahaina.

We had a wonderful vacation and the house was just as described. The master bedroom is huge and airy (and the bed was very, very comfortable), the other bedrooms were great, there is a game room/hangout area with a ping pong table that we used every day, and the outdoor area and pool were fantastic. A/C works beautifully when needed and all kitchen and other accessories we needed were available. More than enough towels, blankets, toilet paper, etc. Extremely thoughtful preparations and considerations, and I loved the decor. Beach chairs and boogie boards available in the shed. Excellent location. We are really grateful we got to stay in this beautiful house and Debbie was very considerate and thoughtful.

My group--4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 7 to 15--stayed in this house for one week in late June. What a fantastic experience. We loved the house and the host was great.
The interior of the house was clean upon arrival and had plenty of square footage, a good layout and a nice feel with all of the Hawaiian decorations. And we loved the covered patio and the pool, which was a good size and well maintained.
Debbie, the owner/host was great. Her process for check in, check out, house rules,. etc. was straight forward and she was super nice and very thoughtful. Sometimes we would come back from a day out somewhere and there would be something she thought we would need left for us at the front door.
Lastly, the house is in a pretty good location, less than a 10 minute walk (even with small kids) from a beach with an ocean front grassy park. And by the way, Debbie stocks the shed with all sorts of things for guests to use (beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards--even life jackets for the little ones.)
All in all, it was a GREAT week at this house and we wish Debbie the best!
