The artist house is probably the CUTEST vacation rental on Lanai! The house was super comfortable and clean. It is located about a 10-12 minute walk to town which has a little market and some really great local restaurants and shops. Our group could not be happier with this rental. Very comfortable! This was our second stay at the Artist House. We returned there because of the spacious accomodations and cleanliness of the house. It is a place where you can relax and enjoy the uniqueness of Lanai. Beach chairs, coolers and BBQ grill are available for use. The large patio is perfect for grilling and entertaining.We will definitely stay there for our future trips to Lanai.

Most photos of rentals make the space look bigger than it is, the Artist House and property is open and spacious! The bed is so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and more. I could sit out in the courtyard all day and smell the blossoms on the trees and listen to the birds. No AC of course but we were always cool with cross ventilation throughout the house and fans. It's so close to everything but at the edge of town for the peace and quiet. Jordanne was very responsive and informative. Her suggestions on exploring the islands were perfect. I miss it already.

My husband and I were on Maui for our 25th wedding anniversary. At the very last minute, I decided to plan a surprise one night trip over to Lanai. It took some planning because you need to get a ferry over from Maui and once at dock on Lanai a ride into town to pick up a Jeep rental car, and then find a place to stay. I luckily found this Lana’i Oasis and Gem, The Artist's House on Vrbo. The house was much bigger than we needed for just two people for one night as it has two bedrooms and even more sleeping options for more people. Check-in was easy and the communication with the owner was excellent. We found the place very clean, very private, with a comfortable bed and close to town. The paintings on this walls made by the owner were beautiful. Cost here was more than I expected when I first saw it on Vrbo because Vrbo charges significant amounts for Cleaning and fees making the total cost almost 800 for one night, way more than I am used to paying! But this was still less than the local hotels. Please note that my husband tried to use the outdoor shower, but the water was ice cold and never got warm. The indoor shower, however, was hot. I loved the cosmetic mirrors in both bathrooms, a nice full kitchen, and a patio to sip your tea or coffee. It was peaceful and quiet there. Also a driveway to park your jeep. We had a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed the "Comforts of Home" in this wonderfully private Lanai property. The thoughtfulness and care of the host was evident from the nicely appointed kitchen, the comforts of the bedrooms and the privacy of the deck. The host has curated a wonderful selection of her art in the home- I could never decide which was my favorite! We loved reading about the home in the provided Aloha notebook. The notebook has wonderful suggestions for island activities. On our hike to Shipwreck Beach we were so fortunate to see an endangered Monk Seal sunning itself on the rocky shore! Manele Bay Beach is gorgeous, with white sandy beaches, great tide pools and a quick hike to "SweetHeart Rock". We didn't eat out in Lanai City, but found a nice selection of foods at "Richards Market". Mahalo!

My team traveled to Lana’i for a conservation event and stayed overnight at The Artist House. Jordanne was informative, friendly and communicative! The home is spacious and very clean. I was worried that it would be too warm but natural cool Lana’i breeze truly moves through the house. Check in was easy, checking out even easier. We would absolutely stay here again! We used Rabaca's shuttle service during our trip for cat sanctaury and beach visits and they were amazing. House walkable to town, but yet in a quiet part of town. We had unusually wet and stormy weather during our stay but, having a comfy, cozy, and cool place to wait out the rain made our stay all better and no damper at all! We stayed in the Artist’s House for five nights. You can enjoy the comforts of home with paradise a few steps away. Nestled in a residential neighborhood with lush plants providing a lovely outdoor space and a sense of privacy. We opened the door to a welcoming living/dining/kitchen area. The open space was perfect for the three of us to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax after a busy day on the island. The master bedroom had a comfortable king sized bed with a en-suite bath that included a whirlpool tub with towels and toiletries. There was a sofa bed and a chair that became a futon for additional sleeping space. The second bath had beautiful tile work and two large shower heads. The utility area had a large and modern washer and dryer which came in very handy before our trip home.
We loved the house and the abundance of the artist/owner’s artwork scattered around the house made the home even more special. There was no air conditioning but the fans, windows and breeze kept the house very comfortable.
Kudos to our host for the good notes about restaurants and places to go with good directions. The food at the restaurants was delicious. Our host was easy to communicate with when we had questions.
We loved the house and would definitely stay there again.

The Artist’s House was exactly as presented on their site - an oasis and gem. What I can add further is that the beds and couch were comfortable. Good tv and internet. Good kitchen and good water pressure in the shower. We had everything we needed.
The house is nestled in amongst other homes - everyone seems respectful and quiet. We had a jeep while on Lana’i but the house is within walking distance of the town square.

This is the perfect house for a stay on Lanai for a few couples or a family! The house is in a quiet corner of Lanai City with quick car or walking access to the town or routes out of the city. This is the second place we've stayed on Lanai, and will be the place we come back to. The house is beautiful, comfortable, cozy, with everything you need to relax and enjoy what this island has to offer. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly, and everything was as described or better. The extras really show, with a lovely deck, well equiped kitchen, outdoor shower, comfortable seating area with a web-connected TV for the late nights. We cooked most meals and had the most relaxing time. We hope to be back soon!

We arrived a bit late for our check-in so it was dark. The pictures in the listing guided use right to where we needed to be. After going through the outside door we found lighting which made it easy get to the front door.
Everything inside is as listed. The home is clean and well equipped. The beds are super comfy.
The owner provided great information on places to eat and sites to see. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Lanai.

It’s the “artists cottage” and it is. There are beautiful pieces of art, but the whole design of the place is great. So many details you may not notice at first. Put together it’s a collective experience where the more you hang out the more great things you see and love
Lanai itself is a gem. Definitely have super Hawaiian vibe and so much aloha. You must wave at every car that goes by…or your missing out.
I asked it I could move in. My only disappointment is she said no! Kidding. I didn’t ask. Lol. But we’re already planning to come back.

The Artist's House is a lovely oasis of beauty in Lana'i City. Not only is it highly finished with natural stone, granite countertops & hardwood floors, there are gorgeous works of art all around. The patio is private and you can watch the sunset from there or from the window of the West bedroom. Jordanne, the artist and owner, was easily reachable and responsive to anything we needed. Her notebook of local history and sights to see was very helpful in planning our excursions. It was our first visit to the remote and rugged island of Lana'i--lots of fun to explore (rent a 4WD Jeep). I would highly recommend this property.

Location of the house was great. Description says king bed and “very comfortable queen bed”. This is NOT the case. The second bedroom is a Full sofa sleeper that is extremely uncomfortable. Our friends spent 2 miserable nights on it. The owner needs to correct the listing asap so renters are aware of what they’re getting. This aspect was very disappointing.

The Artist’s House was absolutely amazing and truly the gem of Lanai. The house was clean, spacious and has a great outdoor area for relaxing after a long day of exploring and enjoying the island. I've come back from my third stay at this beautiful house. The owner Jordanne is an aritist, and it shows!
The best features of this house is the location on the edge of the small town, privacy fence, patio, and small garden. Once you've entered and close the gate, you really feel like you are in your own little bit of paradise.
For the island of Lanai, this is my first property to check on availability. It is always well maintained and has consistently been a wonderful place to stay!

My sister and I were just here for one day for a business trip and we were very sad that we werent able to spend more time there! Our hosts were so kind and accommodating. The communication was prompt and the follow up was more than appreciated.
Upon arrival we were very happy that the property had a gate and was protected. We are two girls and while Lanai is safe it gave us some extra peace of mind. Upon entering the gate, we felt like we were in a private hidden oasis. The home was clean, beautifully landscaped, and we loved all the little decor accents. There were so many amazing places to lounge around the home and hang out.
We noticed the outdoor shower on the day we were leaving and were so sad we didnt get to experience it. We will def return, next time for leisure so we can get the full experience of this magical getaway. Mahalo to our super hosts, we are so grateful :)

The property was attractive and immaculate inside. The outside spaces could use a little attention. Two of the deck areas had canopies of low-hanging cobwebs. The outside shower was a very nice touch and easy to use, however it wasn't fully private from the next door neighbor.
For able-bodied folks, there are no challenges here. But for wheelchair or walker users, it's challenging. There are five uneven steps down into the property and then two steps up or down from the decks. We made it work but it was an effort.
The owner has been kind and responsive and we really appreciate that.

Suggestions would be to place a solar motion light by the entry gate, inside and out. Secondly, the WI-FI was not secure and password protected. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi signal was sketchy at best.

Jordanne was an excellent host, friendly and helpful. She was even able to help us rent a jeep, which is necessary to see a lot of the best parts of the island.
The property has a nicely fixed up 2BR 2Ba plantation cottage which can sleep at least 4. The photos are very accurate.
It is on the edge of the village, a few hundred yards from the park in the middle. There is a high fence all around the property, which includes 2 other cute small buildings. One has a queen or king bed, and the other full bunk bed. I think they would be good if you have a larger group, but I don't think they have plumbing, and no one else was on the property when we were there.
Jordanne also let us bring our little dog, which we greatly appreciated.

Jordanne's Artists House was perfect for my mom and I. Separate bed and bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen with gas stove, privacy even with close neighbors. Beautifully restored and decorated. She graciously let us check in early and everything was clearly labeled. She also provided a great instruction/recommendation book. Our only complaint was the soft beds. They are good beds, with nice linen and pillow selection, just not for people used to firm tempurpedics... The landscape was lush and had various nooks and crannies in which to sit and relax. We also enjoyed all of her original art!

We were looking for a quiet location on a quiet island to work on a project. This worked out perfectly. We could feel the love that Jordanne has for her home through her art and details she put into the home, including hand painted walls. We appreciated the fence around the yard and the quiet, friendly neighborhood where we could enjoy walks when we took breaks. Best stay in Lanai! Easy check in. Owner responsive to questions and has helpful suggestions to experience Lanai. Quiet neighborhood. Can walk 10 minutes to city center but we rented a Jeep. We had rain so played games inside. There is backgammon but we brought our own dominoes. Open floor plan accommodates 4 adults comfortably. Outdoor lanai has bbq and seats 8. There is separate sleeping spaces I’m thinking can accommodate up to 4 additional guests. Enjoyed Jordanne’s personal touches of her art and learning the history of the house. Inspired us to visit her gallery in Makawao. Thank you!

Loved the classic cottage and quiet slow pace of Lanai City. Weather cut our trip short and we had a to catch a ferry back to Maui;(

My husband and I stayed in this charming home for a staycation. It's clean, comfortable and a very quiet neighborhood. Beautiful artwork throughout the home. Excellent communication with the owner. We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the wonderful community. Highly recommend the Artists house for your vacation.

Jordanne's home was very well kept and and good looking property. The house is only a few minutes walk to the restuarants and businesses in town while being out on the quiet neighborhood. Several of the locals new exactly which house we were staying in just by the street name and commented well about the house.

Property: This is a nice and updated home with some artistic flare. Several ppl in Maui told us short term vacation homes go for $500 on the island so we thought the listed price was a good deal. We learned many of the STVH are taken up by constructor workers in Lanai and were happy with our choice here in this limited STVH market. It's pretty essential and important to read the welcome pamphlet here and post it notes throughout the home.
Neighborhood: Safe neighborhood to walk around in day/night. Bring a flashlight with you since Queens isn't well lit at night.
Community Space: Limited but there is seating in front of TV, kitchen table and patio tables. We prefer areas with large spaces for where everyone can sit together.
WIFI: Excellent - This is a must for us since we have to work while traveling. Secure wifi was fast, easy to set up on our phones and never dropped during our stay.
Cell Service: We're with AT&T and had excellent cell phone coverage here. Sometimes surrounding buildings or homes block coverage even in well populated areas. Not an issue here.

First of all, Jordanne was such a greaaaaat host! Awesome communicator! We never had any issues finding the place and she even gave us recommendations regarding the town. We really loved her place - it was beautiful! Photos don’t even do it justice. Very clean, very spacious. The rooms are just enough for us. It was located right in Lanai City and walking distance to everything. We really really loved this place and would not hesitate to rent it again. Mahalo nui loa Jordanne!
