This property was AWESOME! The property is absolutely beautiful. It is so nice & peaceful. I wanted something away from the crowds- this was the answer. The breakfast every morning was delicious. Daryl & Leslea are the most wonderful people. This is a true gem! Can’t wait to return to the area next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very nice cabin. Breakfast was served with fresh eggs and fruits from the farm. We were lucky to have tasted the very sweet white pineapple. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting the Hilo side of the island or exploring the National Parks.

This place has wonderful accommodations. Nice spacious bathroom with a functional kitchen and good wi-fi reception. And includes a free breakfast. Location is good if you are going to the Volcano and it's a 30-minute drive to downtown Hilo..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location is great for visiting either Hilo area of Volcanoes National Park.
Private guest house attached to main home on a small farm, we enjoyed the sheep, goats, chickens., and friendly dogs on the property.
The unit was clean and spacious. The owners were gracious hosts and not intrusive at all. The provided breakfast was a bonus.
Be aware that there are no nearby markets, etc., so be sure to stock up in Hilo before arrival. There is no oven/stove, but there is a BBQ on covered patio for you to use. The small refrigerator has a tiny freezer (room enough for 2 ice cube trays but not much else), so don't stock up on frozen foods.

This rental is a guest house on a working farm about 15 minutes South of Hilo. It is definitely a country setting, but a completely modern accommodation. It is clean and well appointed and completely comfortable. The oversize bathroom includes a Jacuzzi! The private lanai is a great place to relax and enjoy the daily breakfast treats that were brought to us, much of it sourced from the farm itself. We could not have been happier with our room. Daryl and Leslea were perfect hosts, and completely respected our privacy.
If you are contemplating a visit, you cannot beat this with a stick. The only proviso is that you must be physically capable to open a swinging ranch style gate for access, which could involve mud in rainy times. It was no issue for us, but I could see it as an issue for people with mobility issues. A great place to stay; a real getaway. We will return!

Daryl and Leslea were great hosts to this property. It's a large cabana located adjacent to their home which is within a farm. It's only 20 minutes from Hawaii volcano national park. There's a big whirlpool tub within the bathroom that is great to use after long hikes. The property has a beautiful view of Mauna Kea, fruit trees, chickens, sheep and goats. The breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs was amazing. Highly recommend.

Mountain View is a beautiful property in a neighborhood-type setting. Great location to access both the south coast and Volcanos NP, which is exactly what we wanted. Very comfortable room with a kitchen and seating area, plus an outdoor seating area for the fabulous breakfast! Two cool dogs, too. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay here. Delicious breakfasts with local fresh fruit and eggs and spacious accomodations. Close to Volcano National Park and cooler air than on the coast for a comfortable sleep at night. BBQ and microwave only for cooking, so need to keep that in mind when grocery shopping.

Did they forget to add a 1 before the nightly stay price? No, this amazing cabana 20 min from Hilo and volcano is worth double what they charge and it’s great. Clean, nice cabana, fruit trees, secluded but near the highway, breakfast included, good WiFi, bbq, patio and great hosts- what more would you ask for. Book that trip now before they read my review and rightfully raise prices!

We had an amazing time staying at Leslea and Daryl's cabana for 3 nights as part of our 35th anniversary trip. They're such gracious hosts - we enjoyed chatting with Leslea during breakfast and soaking in the property on a tour from Daryl. The cabana is a perfect vacation home with all the comforts, including a very large bathroom and a wall of windows/patio doors to let nature in. The grounds are breathtaking with fruit trees and animals and a well stocked koi pond. You just can't help but relax when you sit on the patio for breakfast and soak in the views. Daryl makes delicious breakfasts with ingredients from his farm, and it was fun to get to know the hosts. This was a great location to visit both the volcano and Hilo. We would love to visit again some day, and highly recommend it to anyone else going to Hawaii.

We had a wonderful time staying here! The room was clean and had everything we needed. Super impressed with the large bathroom. The owners live on site and provided breakfast in the morning, which was delicious. We sat on the patio with a beautiful view of the mountain. Proximity to volcano park and hilo was perfect. We spent time at the volcano park at night to see the glow of the lava from the top and had a short drive back!

Place was clean, quiet and as advertised. Appreciated the to go breakfast sandwiches as I was on the move pretty early all week. My one and only complaint was regarding check-in which could have been a little less stressful with a more understanding host. My original flight was canceled resulting in me arriving later than planned. Owner gave me a little of a hard time about late arrival. These things happen in travel and hospitality industry.

Nothing short of AMAZING! Majestic Valcano Villas is quite and peaceful , their property is beautifully manicured and breathtaking ! They even have goats , chickens and two cute little puppy dogs! Leslea is the best she will make you feel at home and cook you a wonderful breakfast made with farm fresh eggs, fruit from her trees ! She has made us feel like Ohana! It's truly a place you wont want to leave, at least i didnt! Needless to say Majestic Volcano villas we shall see each other again! Thanks again leslea and Darrel❤️

There were a few inconveniences but overall a good place and owners. Ant problem not real bad but inconvenient and perhaps seasonal. Keeping entrance gate locked inconvenient. Semi-pervious parking spot would be an improvement. Breakfast very nice and a great convenience.

Our gracious hosts and their lovely cabana exceeded our expectations. Everything about our stay was exceptional: location near Hilo and Volcanoes National Park, clean, quiet, spacious, and private accommodations, and the most delicious home cooked breakfasts each morning on the covered patio. A home away from home and a great place to land after a long day of exploring the win-ward side of the Big Island. We even loved falling asleep to the magical sound of the coqui frogs. We loved our stay and hope to return again soon!

This was one of my favorite vacation rentals ever. The location is in a remote and idyllic setting yet an easy drive the Hilo or the national park. The hosts are welcoming and serve a delicious breakfast. The cabana is very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. I will definitely return next time I am in the Hilo area.
