Annie is a great host. She proactively shared all de information we needed, and replied promptly to every question. The apartment has great views and never gets too hot due to the constant flow of wind/sea breeze. It is exactly as described and had everything me and my husband needed. Plenty of available parking. We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay.
Note the apartment is in the 3rd floor and there's no elevator. Avoid it if you or soneone in your party can't climb multiple sets of steps. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are many roosters around and they get very loud starting at 5 am or earlier. We didn't mind them because we are early birds as well, but if you are planning on sleeping in, ear plugs might be a good idea.

I would have loved to give this place a higher rating as the views were spectacular. However, I just can’t in good faith due to the ants and flying cockroaches. The hostess did report that the property had recently sprayed and there was additional spray in the hall closet. Bugs are not something one wants to deal with especially when on vacation. It was hard to sleep knowing they were in the condo.

Beautiful, peaceful and serene location. Be award that if the country sounds of roosters crowing will bother you- stay somewhere else. We enjoyed them, they are a part of our farm at home. You couldn’t ask for a more accommodating Host, in Annie. She was always available and willing to help with needs and answer questions. The Unit itself is eclectic and shows her vibrant personality in the colors on the walls! There is a need for a few upgrades that would help raise the level of comfort. Side tables and reading lamps next to the couch would be useful, there isn't anywhere to read except the kitchen table where the one light is. The kitchen is stocked very well! Could use a pitcher to make juice. The bathroom set up has been covered in other reviews. It is unusual, but works if everyone is considerate.

Annie, the host of this rental, was very quick in responding to any question. This is a nice quiet condo that fully matches its description. The unit is well equipped with kitchenware and a few basic cooking supplies and a few other items, e.g. cooler, beach chairs, breach umbrella, .. which we very much appreciated. We had a great stay.

My son and I stayed here for three nights. The decor is unique. The kitchen is well-stocked with spices, condiments, foil, plastic wrap, etc. I used the oven and microwave. Both worked great. There are notes all around the unit, which we found convenient. The beds and couch were comfortable. The view from the balconies were lovely.
Things to keep in mind:
- This unit is on the top floor. There is no elevator.
- The bathroom configuration takes getting used to. It's two bathrooms connected by a shower.
- There are no fans or AC in this unit except for the ceiling fan in the kitchen. You pretty much need to keep the windows and sliding doors open for the breeze.
Why we would return:
- The host is very friendly and responsive.
- No chore list! Just take out the trash and return the parking pass.

We had never been to Molokai before and were curious to try it out. First we chose the Wavecrest as we had heard this resort was one of the best on the island and it was. The pool was small but nice & clean, barbecues were in good condition and of fantastic quality (said my husband) and the location was good as we traveled to the West side of the island and to the far East easily. There's very little traffic in Molokai.
The unit was on the top floor with fantastic ocean views and breeze from every room. The condo was well equipped, clean and the beds were comfortable. Initially, I thought the bed in the living room was a bit strange but we all fought to lay on it to chill and read books/watch TV every evening so it was actually wonderful. I actually snuck out to sleep on it every night after my husband started snoring...lol!
I would highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to give Molokai, the quiet island a try.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Wavecrest. It is a beautiful property- lovely views, great pool. Definitely bring earplugs or white noise because the roosters are incessant starting around 2:45am. We had some issues with noise from a nearby resident, but Annie was very responsive and helped remedy the situation. She was great to work with!

A nice alternative to the bustling touristy areas of the other islands, this unit at Molokai Shores provides solitude with a view. It is spacious with all the cooking materials in the kitchen one may need for a meal. Besides the crowing roosters (which gives the area a "country" sound) it is in a very peaceful location. Great views of Maui and Lanai from the balconies. There is nice beach a few miles down the road to the east, although no real food options towards that way except for a convenience store and take-out counter that has very limited hours and closed on Wednesday. Other food options are in the town of Kaunakakai although hours are limited in some places here as well. There are two small grocery stores in town, so try to stock up on groceries on the way to the condo from the airport. The town is 13 miles (about 20 miles from the airport) to the condo, or 20 minutes away.

Jan and I really enjoyed our stay with Annie as our host. From the hug we got at the Molokai airport, to her driving us around town and all of the hints, we felt like we were staying with family. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her property as well, which has a gorgeous end unit unobstructed view of the ocean, Maui and Lanai. The Wavecrest facilities were top notch as well. Enjoyed our time here immensely.

The place is a condo built in 1975 in one of the best spot of Molokai.
I absolutely love the appeal/desolation of the island, so i'd recommend anyone to visit it no matter what, even in a tent.
The apartment is large (currently listed for 650.000 $), it has a great view and we loved it. Though of course you need to like the way they used to build vacation homes in the middle of the 70s. We do, my mother for sure does. but I don't think all the people do. Forget any idea of "new" luxury, and just enjoy the 70s luxury.
One thing i missed: blackening blinds/curtains. There is none, so the place is bright.
Better for 2/3 person, because it's a 1,5 bathroom apt (so the shower is shared, and placed right in the middle of the two small restrooms.
Molokai rocks, it's 100% the last true Hawaii island.

We found the Condo to be accurately described. We didn't spent a whole lot of time at the Condo, mostly just slept there and swam a few times. The pool was closed the first few days for maintenance but we were busy with other family on the island so it wasn't an issue for us. The pool reopened mid-stay and we did utilize it a few times. The club house area was large, clean and comfortable. Ann was attentive and informative; we thank her for her hospitality!

We stayed 4 nights in Molokai. The condo is in a beautifully manicured resort that has a small pool. It is very quiet and only a few miles from Murphy Beach which is one of the best beaches in Hawaii. It is an end unit so has a little more privacy than other units. The decor is pleasant and colorful although cabinets seem dated. We didn't really like the outdoor carpet on the exterior stairs and landings but they do prevent slipping. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some. We only grilled once during our stay as we wanted to support the local businesses. It has two small lanais which is where we spent all of our time when at the unit. The ocean view is amazing. The hightop table and chairs on the main lanai are not the most comfortable but do provide an excellent view of the ocean. There is also a small sofa where I read one day while it was raining. From the lanai we were able to see a few whale spouts but they were very distant. The unit is extremely clean and the bathrooms well stocked. Although this is a 2 bedroom/2bath unit there is only one shower shared and in between each bathroom, separated only by shower curtains. This worked fine for us as it was just my husband and myself but would definitely not work for 2 adult couples. The water pressure is actually very good and Annie provides plenty of towels. Annie is the most accommodating host we have had yet. She goes out of her way to assist and make sure you have a trouble free stay. As we were arriving on a Sunday the one taxi driver on the island was not available so she offered to pick us up from airport to take us to pick up our rental car from Izzy's - who saved us hundreds of dollars in car rental cost. FYI we did give Annie a little $ for picking us up. Overall the condo worked great for our needs. I feel the resort is really nice for Molokai and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had a lovely stay and Ann is amazing just like everyone says. She was very accommodating as our original flight out got rebooked by the airline. The views are amazing. You can post a nut. You just have collect your own coconut and decorate them. We couldn't find a good selection of markers so if you want to do it i suggest bringing markers. Be prepared to spend a lot on groceries. We budgeted high and went well over our budget. When you get to the island get bottled water and ice with your groceries. Enjoy your stay on Molokai!

We had a great visit. The condo was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The grounds of the complex are beautiful. Views of Lanai, Maui, and Kaho’olawe were breathtaking. We utilized the gas grill by the pool on a couple of occasions. Annie was very helpful and responsive to any questions and to guide us with things to do or places just to chill at the beach. My only complaint was that the listing said it had to bathrooms when in reality it was two sink and toilets with a shared shower separated with shower curtains, so you could walk from one, through the shower, to the other bathroom.

This was our second trip to the Friendly Isle and also to this condo. Coming back to both was an easy choice, as this is a wonderful condo in a great complex, and we love Molokai.
The condo is decorated with many Hawaiian touches, including several Molokai-specific artists and references. It is perfectly situated to benefit from Molokai's temperature-moderating trade wins, with plenty of windows and a high floor. Towels and clothes dry quickly on the hooks in the lanai doors (there are two lanais, each with a beautiful ocean view). We all loved the stone rain shower.
The complex has a great pool, with two gas grills and ample covered seating for cookouts or reading, out of the sun or rain, while still enjoying the view of Haleakala over the fish ponds.
The unit is filled with useful information about the area, and Annie, the owner, is a wonderful local resource and caring host.
We can't wait to come back!

Wavecrest is one of the most meticulously maintained and secluded areas on the island. We loved the fact that the pool wasn't ever crowded, the little beach was ours and the home itself was inviting and clean. Anne also reached out a few times to let us know about daily specials in the market, fish sales going on and who to contact for private hikes. We felt like we had an inside tour guide with her expertise. The view was amazing out of every window and the home was well stocked. I feel like we got such a great deal on this unique Moloka'i experience!

This is an amazing place. We had so many great adventures based out of this condo. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the pool was a favorite place for our younger kids. This property was exactly as listed. Nice views from the lanai. Gas stove and decent cookware. As other reviewers mentioned the shared shower/bathroom situation is interesting but all in all a good spot especially for the price. A bit far (about 30 minutes) from town but if your looking to stay on the east side a great option.

The condo was so well stocked with everything all you needed to buy were perishables. I can’t brag enough on Annie and how well she treated us. The cool breeze on the island during our stay was like the early spring breezes we get for a few days in southern Indiana before it turns sultry hot. I didn’t want to leave. We watched whales blowing outside the reef from the deck and spent a lot of time relaxing there when we weren’t exploring the island. Must drive to Halawa Park. The drive there is more than hair raising at times but the views are spectacular. Yes there are no Walmart’s, McDonalds or chain anything and I hope they can keep it that way. It was like stepping back into the way we shopped at local establishments back in the 50’s and early 60’s when I was a kid. I would come back in a heartbeat and would not want to stay anywhere else on the island but here. And don’t forget to make reservations to eat at Hiro’s before you come to insure you get a spot. Condo was clean, comfy and had everything we could want including beach gear, coolers, chairs, ice etc. Our host Annie was great at communicating and very helpful with any questions we had. The wave crest grounds are beautiful and the pool area very nice. The 2 bathrooms share one shower (located directly between the sink/toilet areas with shared access) which surprised us at first but works just fine. Lots of homey touches around the unit that we enjoyed. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean condo with great views. We read the past reviews before booking this unit. Roosters and sharing of the showers did not bother us. We focused on the positives. To list a few: Cleanliness of the unit, View from the bedrooms, trade winds hitting the unit and help from the host etc. We arrived here on X'day 2021. Anne's hospitality and helping us to navigate in getting supplies (only one store was open on X’mas day), finding tour guides, etc. really made a difference in making our stay memorable. THANK YOU Ann ! Molokai is very different from all other Hawaiian islands that we have visited in the past and we will be coming back soon.

The condo was very comfortable and even more spacious than expected. There was a beautiful trade wind breeze through the condo. The view from both lanais was beautiful. Ann was an extraordinarily accommodating host. The shower between the two bathrooms didn’t bother us. Our only complaint was that there wasn’t a hot tub and the pool wasn’t heated. We will absolutely be back.

The unit itself is very nice, has a great view, the condo nice amenities. However, the fact that roosters woke us up every single morning starting between 3 and 4 am did not allow us the rest and relaxation we were hoping for. Neither did the neighbors who set up shop right behind the dumpster (outside the bedroom window) and talked and played music all hours of the day and night. Apparently they really hate tourists. Annie attempted to make the stay nice by getting us a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, as well as some groceries we reimbursed her for. She provided earplugs as well, but they didn't quite cut it. We did see whales from the window and enjoyed the unit itself, just not the extras we had not been made aware of from prior reviews or from the host.

Unit is very clean and well appointed. View is of the ocean with colorful sunrises. 2 bathrooms share one shower. No problem for my friends and I. It has curtains on each side and it is set back with walls on rach end in a tub size space. The only privacy issue might be that you can hear every word spoken in the master bedroom, unless the bathroom door is shut. Simple remedy.

You cannot beat the views from the condo. There are two separate decks both with outstanding ocean views. The condo was large and clean when we arrived. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. Although there is no air conditioning, we left the windows open and it seemed there are always nice breezes. Annie was a superb host.

We loved this place! Totally comfortable, totally clean, totally fabulous and we have got to come back. No barking dog problem, no shower bathroom problem, no problem whatsoever! Annie recommended all the right restaurants and all the right fun things to do. The diving was wonderful…biggest oldest sea turtles I have ever seen. Mantas too. The beaches were sublime. I needed a vacation, and that’s what I got. Peaceful restful rejuvenation. We will be back, but not soon enough!! Thank you Annie.

Anne's condo was certainly unique, and is located with a beautiful water and garden view. She was very attentive to our needs. I am fairly sensitive to noise and did hear dogs barking at night (sounded like larger dogs that were not on the property barking at one another) - I informed Anne who called the police and had them handle the situation.
The condo is fully stocked with all of the items you'll need for a comfortable stay. There are many notes throughout the place with instructions on how to handle any quirks that you may encounter. Oh, and yes, it is really just a one bathroom. As others have said there are two toilets separated by a center shower that offers the privacy of something similar to a bathroom stall. My family and I had to come to an agreement to only use it one at a time, even though it has two toilets.
Overall a pleasant stay! Anne had strongly cautioned us against going too far into the West end, which had us nervous a bit of the island, but overall we were welcomed and really enjoyed ourselves and the effort that she took to accommodate all of our needs. Mahalo, and a hui ho!

This is a great condo! Two bedrooms with an extra bed and pullout sofa in the main living area. We have two toddlers and this was perfect for them throughout the day for naps and allowed us to have them sleep in separate rooms. Ann was absolutely wonderful, we stayed for three weeks and she came weekly to change our sheets and give us fresh towels. She also asked frequently if we needed anything at all! We appreciated her very much and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

The condo has great views of the ocean, Maui and LAnai. It has a nice pool right near the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped and there are balconies off the living room and master bedroom. Annie was very helpful and made check in and out easy. Would definitely come back again.
