We were visiting family that lives around the corner and this apartment was perfect for us to spread out and have our own space. It is a very well maintained property. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood and not far from beaches. Food stores are also nearby. Property hosts great to deal with and always quick to respond

The great things about the home included: laundry, beach gear, internet speed, storage, towels and the place was bigger than expected. The kitchen had almost everything needed. As a tea drinker a kettle would have been lovely and the can opener needs to be replaced. There were, unfortunately, a number of things that made our stay uncomfortable. The ice maker did not work and made a significant noise when turned on. The lights over the stove did not work which made cooking in the evenings more challenging. The gas burners on the left side of the stove often took a minute to ignite. We understood there would likely be a musty smell and were pleased it was mostly contained to the stairwell. The dehumidifier certainly worked but was quite loud. An additional blanket or two would have been appreciated. Flashlights could be provided in the unit for power outages. The biggest struggle for us, as you were aware, was the smell in the large bathroom. We appreciated you coming out in our first week to deal with it. Thankfully, the sewer smell became mostly contained to the bathroom. As we let you know the smell was continuing, we did have an expectation you would deal with it further. The roof leak is a concern and we hope it can be addressed. We were glad we could deal with the smoke alarm going off in the unit below us. If it had continued we could not have stayed. We hope you can find an in town contact to deal with future issues quickly.

Good Price...What a great centrally located property. It was very clean and the beach snorkel, boogie boards and washer dryer was awesome. It was a bit cooler in Waimea and I loved it. I thought it was wonderful and cannot wait to come back to the Big Island and a home away from home.. The history of the area and Honokaa was fascinating along with Puana Beach..

It's a comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath home centrally located and it had everything we needed. The decor is fun. They gave us all sorts of extras, such as coffee, chips, and chocolate macadamia nuts! We would stay here again.

Great location near Waimea. Quiet at night. Gets hot during the day but we were out during the day and it cools off in the evening nicely. Mornings were comfortably cool. All the kitchen gear is here for making meals . Contact with Kathy was helpful and right away she helped me with the access instructions. Worked well for us with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The stairs were mentioned in the listing so we expected them. Taking suitcases up and down only took a moment. Wish Iā€™d booked this one for a few days longer. Great place to come back to at the end of a day full of fun.

We had family visiting so rented both upstairs and downstairs units. Not new and updated units but very clean and comfortable. Much cooler in Waimea vs down at the beaches and usually a little rain every day-- nice. Only that might be improved, if possible, would be to trim the trees down some to improve the view of Mauna Kea though the sunrise view was nice. All beach toys and towels available for use. Mauna Loa erupting was amazing!!

We had a great stay here. We loved the big kitchen, living and dining space. Mornings on the deck were wonderful. Good amount of space for two couples. The smaller bedroom with full bed is probably better suited for kiddos but still worked ok for us. Really appreciated the snorkel gear, beach chairs and cooler! Waimea is a great quiet location for taking day trips to Hilo or Kona as well as the national park. We would certainly stay again!

Apartment was much more than I expected. Spotless clean, full kitchen, and a living room. Very happy with the accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. One suggestion I would make is that it be emphasized in the description that there is a flight of stairs without a handrail to be navigated. For most this would be no impediment but it is tough for elderly people with heavy luggage.

Overall a great experience! House was pretty much as described, no major issues. The house was still being cleaned an hour past the check in time, so we drove around a bit while we waited, besides that everything went as planned. Would stay again.

Our arrival was a bit rough. The directions were confusing but the difficult part was that the door we were suppose to enter into to get the key was locked. We had to ask for help from a neighbor who called the cleaning lady and helped access a spare key.. We did here from the hosts later after we got into the condo. The apartment was cold and damp when we arrived int the evening. The next morning we found ants all over the kitchen counter. We contacted the hosts and they arranged for exterminator who only put out several ant traps on the counter. It took a few days for the ant situation to improve. I noticed after discovering the ants that the kitchen floor was very dirty - I was shocked at how much I was able to sweep up. I think was connected to the ant problem. The entire property has not been well kept. There were spider webs all over the windows and in many different places inside the apartment. The second bathroom (the one with the tub) had cracks and chips in the floor of the tub - and we didn't feel comfortable using it. There was only one tiny heater in the living room and considering how cold it is in the evenings in Waimea - that is not enough. After we turned on the dehymidifier the apartment was better but I don't know why they didn't run it before we arrived or just it running. The shower head off of the master bedroom was loose - we were afraid to move it for fear it would fall off. There were a lot of little things throughout the apartment that need a little TLC. It could be a nicer place to stay if they could fix or improve some of these things and possibly find a better house cleaner who will take the time to make sure things are clean. Such as the sink in the master bedroom was dirty and the remote control in the master bedroom was sticky (I had to put it in a ziplock bag to use it).

We stayed for three months and enjoyed it very much. We liked the central location of Waimea. The house was just as we expected and just right for us. It had most things we needed. It is a bit chilly at that altitude, but an easy drive to warm beaches. The fireplace was appreciated on some of the chilly mornings. Both Robyn and Kathy were easy to contact and prompt to respond to our messages. We would stay again.

Typical Waimea weather. It was wet and calming. Such a great place to come back to after a day of work or fun.

This condo was perfect for our Hawaii vacation. The location was great for getting to so many of the best things to do on the Big Island. It was clean, and included so many little things that other properties do not....like a real cooler, beach towels and snorkel gear. And the bed? So comfortable!! The only thing that I would change is that the check-in instructions were super confusing. Just say that the door is to the left of the washer and dryer on the back side of the first building. If I ever get to come back, I will be sure to rent this condo again.
