The condo was everything as advertised. Jerry and Meredith are awesome hosts. They kept in contact with us from the time we booked to the time we departed. We will for sure be staying at their home the next time we visit Molokai. If you are looking for a place that offers spectacular views and a quiet setting this is the place to stay. If you're thinking of visiting Molokai – and you definitely should – stop looking at other places and book this condo NOW. It is the best experience my husband and I have ever had traveling! The place is immaculate and COMPLETELY stocked with all the dishes and pans you need to make any type of meal you choose. The view is indescribable and we spent quite a bit of time just sitting on the lanai staring at it. Wonderful, wonderful, place with super-responsive hosts. Ooops, almost forgot: Do yourself a favor and rent the Xterra they have on offer; it is the PERFECT vehicle with which to explore the island!

This condo was exactly what we were looking for and needed. The location was beautiful. The lanai facing the ocean was perfect. Could sit out there and watch the ocean all day. Maui and Lanai are right there too. Condo had everything you would need, it was super clean, kitchen was very well stocked, the grounds itself were beautiful, neighbours around extremely friendly and the owners were great to deal with! I would highly recommend this place and we will be back!

Wavecrest is one of several condo complexes in Molokai, and from what we could see, it’s the best. Grounds and pool are meticulously maintained and location is paradise. Jerry & Meredith’s unit (A206) was the closest to the water. Very well maintained and had everything we needed. We had to reach out to them a couple times via email and they were very responsive. The added bonus was the availability of a rental car (4WD) that was left at the airport for us. Much less expensive than renting from Avis, which would have been the only other option. Spent 17 glorious days here and would do it again. The island itself is undeveloped and offered many interesting adventures, including hiking, snorkeling and whale watching. Very quiet and few restaurants and stores, most of which are 10+ miles away, so if you’re looking for action, this island is not the place for you. But for nature lovers and those looking for peace and quiet, it’s ideal.

This condo and resort is absolutely lovely! The view is amazing - I enjoyed watching the sunrise over Maui and the whales with their babies playing just outside the reef.
There are turtles hanging out and stingrays jumping just beyond the lanai. The resort is very peaceful, the pool is beautiful and all of the guests/owners are very friendly. It's perfectly located on the island, close to all the sights and amenities.
Molokai is a true Hawaiian paradise, untouched by tourism. It's a great place to unwind, slow down, and appreciate the peaceful quiet. It offers a lot from relaxation, adventure, and a deeper connection with Hawaiian culture. I highly recommend the Halawa Valley cultural hike to the waterfall. It was an unforgettable experience.
Gerry and Meredith are wonderful hosts - they were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had. They provided excellent instructions and I appreciated being able to rent "Brutus", their SUV. Upon arrival, they reached out to ensure I had settled in and to let me know they were available if I had any questions or concerns.
I look forward to visiting Molokai again some day and I will definitely want to stay in Gerry and Meredith's condo!

This is a delightful condo in a quiet and peaceful setting. The owners are helpful and responsive. The views from the lanai are great. We watched whales breaching outside the reef with our morning tea. Kitchen had everything we needed, bed is comfortable, and the pool was perfect for our morning swims.

The unit is so clean, and the hosts communication was organized, thorough and greatly appreciated.
Anywhere you stay on Molokai will be a drive. So just book this location now and plan on driving to explore the island a little each day of your visit. Additionally, no stay at this location would be complete without a stop at Manae Goods & Grinds just down the road. Order the teriyaki beef stir fried rice. Take it back to your private lanai and all will be well with the world!

Property manager completely absent: Open and available for minimal hours, and even then they CLOSE in the middle of those minimal hours for a “break”. Our condo was wonderful. The owners were detailed in there updates and information. Did I mention the view. Molokai is a very basic place. It really met our needs. A suggestion would be to google all the area for things to do and places to find food. Once here we found food in many places. This is a great place to see history, beautiful landscape and awesome ocean views. If you want someone to entertain you this is not the place. We loved it and had a wonderful time. Thanks J and M

The views from the lanai are the best on the island! We didn't dare miss the amazing sunrises every morning--so breath taking! We saw whales every day, many breached, lots of tails and even some tail slapping! You need to adjust to doing nothing when you get here. Its far from town and there are little choices of where to eat; nothing is open on Sunday. But you get your groceries and celebrate the joy of being away from it all. You have all the beach toys if you want them. The pool can be seen from the lanai so its very close. There is also a tradition of going to the benches at the end of the property (also in view of the lanai) to watch the sunset with everyone else. The people in this complex are like a family! We had a few warm days with no wind, but we discovered if you open the door it can help. The airline is very iffy and I would book an early flight and leave at least 3 hours in-between getting back to HNL or Maui. Our flight here was late by 3 hours; our flight home has been canceled and we have been automatically rebooked...just plan ahead. This condo is so tastefully decorated, with good stuff, not the cheap stuff! Beautiful art and very nice dishes & pans. We have had the best time and know you will too.

We LOVED everything about our stay here. Great being able to rent their car. Wonderfully recently updated unit in the only oceanfront building at Wavecrest. The pool and pool area with covered indoor-outdoor space were fantastic. Neighbors were really fun to get to know. We knew Moloka'i would be a unique experience. This exceeded every expectation. The condo was beautiful and right on the water. We watched sunrise right from the lanai and then walked just to the other side of the building to watch sunsets. They were stunning.
The area was incredibly quiet (which is exactly what we were looking for.) We grabbed groceries from the Friendly Market (very reasonable prices for meat and produce) and took advantage of the recently updated kitchen. Best stocked kitchen of any vrbo location we have ever been to!
The owners were incredibly responsive and often checked in to see how our stay was going. We also rented the mustang which was very convenient. (Just be sure to grab the antenna from the trunk of you want radio.)
The condo is part of a complex that i thought might be noisy. It wasn't. The people there were very respectful. This is not a party resort. Unless you count the night that had an impromptu concert of a singer, ukelele, and spoons that played until sunset. If you are looking for a Waikiki type experience, don't come here!
If planning to come to this island, bring cash. More than one location had credit card machines down. Also be aware that people are not in any hurry. Which was a good excuse for us to slow down as well.
This was the final of the Hawaiian islands that we visited and we are very much looking forward to coming back.

My wife and I spent 3 days in this beautiful unit. The owners were perfect. Communications were great and they responded almost instantly to texts and phone calls. The unit was super clean and well appointed with kitchen items and also recreational items for the beach and golf course. There was plenty of closet space. The views are spectacular with views of Maui and Lanai. Go to the west facing benches to watch the sunset with your favorite drink. It is 13 miles from town so make sure you stock up on food/snacks. It is an easy trip to get there and the traffic is very light. The Wavecrest is very quiet and you can really see the stars at night. The grounds are beautiful and the pool are is very nice and clean.
The only issue and this is out of their control is it took a while to get hot water. The first person in may only have lukewarm water. Second person gets the hot stuff... :)
Great experience and facility. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends!

The condo is supplied with everything you need including everything for the Beach, chairs umbrella ice chest paddle board etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots pans, dishes, coffee maker blender etc .The grounds are beautiful and well kept . The owners were awesome and promptly responded to questions excetra.

We loved our stay at Jerry and Meredith's condo! Everything was clean and plenty of items stocked to make our stay comfortable. I believe the kitchen was recently redone and was super cute and clean. The most fabulous part is the setting! It's hard for me to imagine going to Hawaii without being able to look at the ocean as much as possible. This unit is right on the water and the sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous! The pool was very nice and the entire complex seems to be very well managed. Molokai is not Maui and one needs to be aware of that, but we wanted to explore this island. No a/c at night is a bit rough, but really not bad at all. I used to live in SD without A/C years ago. For anyone exploring Molokai, I would highly recommend this condo!

Jerry and Meredith have really set the bar high! From my very first contact with them they guided us through all our planning, answered all my many questions and stayed in contact throughout our trip, always prompt communications which we so appreciate. I was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the instructions and things to print out, but it actually made things go so smoothly and helped a lot and once we got there and checked off each procedure, it's very easy and not a big deal as others have mentioned. Very easy to follow directions. Upon arriving at the condo I was happily surprised how beautiful the property is. Both sides have beaches, one rocky and one more sandy. There was plenty of parking right by the stairs. The condo is just lovely, not overdone and showy like a hotel, but beautiful and comfortable, we love it! So much thought was put into details here. We had everything we could possibly need and more. From plenty kitchen supplies to a full closet stocked with items shown in photos in good condition and clean, super comfy bed and many bathroom items we felt right at home. We loved all the decor, Hawaiian music cds in the condo and in car, binoculars, and reading through the guest books and huge binder full of all you need to know about Moloka'i, a super resource! They really have thought of everything! The views from the lanai, spectacular! Sunrise over the palms and ocean are breathtaking. There was a lot of rain off and on during our stay, mostly at night, so it was quite humid. We kept the windows open and this helped so much. Minus the night winds, it is really quiet on property. We rented the xterra and feel it is a great deal & worked great for us. The pool area is clean and beautiful with a ocean view. We swam under the stars one night in the light rain, amazing! We did not swim or snorkel at our beach as the water was not clear, but not far up the way mile marker 20-22 is super crystal clear water with the reef right there, perfect snorkeling!
The condo location is great, on the better half of the island in my opinion, so lush & close to some food options and produce stands. We had a full week of daily activities. Many people questioned us for choosing Molokai saying we'd be so bored, there's nothing to do there, etc. Boy are they wrong! If you have the chance to come here, you will not be disappointed. And I highly recommend staying at Jerry and Meredith's place. We had the BEST time and hope to come back again. Mahalo!

The property was centrally located to everything we wanted to do while celebrating our anniversary. We hiked, swam in the sea and in the pool, shopped the local stores, fruit stands and church thrift stores, watched surfers and turtles, found deer, turkeys, pigs, pheasant and ate some good meals at The Paddler’s inn and Hiro’s seaside grill. The condo and car option was exactly what we needed to relax and play.

From the lanai there is 180 degree view of the ocean and a view of Maui and Lanai. The bed is very comfortable and the TV had many options. My wife and I stayed here a couple days for our 25th Anmiversary. We discovered that Molokai does not have all the toursit trappings of all the other islands and is a quiet, relaxed place. The condo was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the ocean and Maui. The owners answered any questions or problems promptly and had great communication with them. This is a very beautiful place and would not hesitate reccommending it.

We really weren’t sure what to expect but so pleased to say “it was perfect”. The location is close enough to town but far enough for quiet. The condo is Nicky decorated and has everything you’ll need while there. The condo grounds are beautiful and the ocean is right there. We will be returning but for a longer time. Molokai isn’t for everyone! But if you want relaxation and calm this may be for you.

First, these owners are *very* nice and responsive and we appreciate them renting their condo to us.
These are things we wish would’ve been disclosed up front:
This unit is on the second floor but there is no elevator in the complex. Luggage, etc. must be carried up 2 small flights of stairs.
Without air conditioning, the humidity can get uncomfortable, despite the nice ocean breezes. Towels also get mildewed easily despite being hung.
The ocean water around this complex (& other parts of Molokai) is a murky brown. So while the views are beautiful, you’ll want to choose another area on the island for ocean swimming, such as the small Murphy Beach.
Laundry rooms within the complex are shared spaces for everyone and there is a set time you must be done by. The machines do take credit cards; however, the electronic keypads don’t work at times due to technical issues, so it’s hit and miss.
There was a security issue with this particular unit, which the owners are fine with, but guests may not be.
While the kitchen remodel is great (cabinetry has an odor) and the wood flooring in most of the unit is also nice, the rest of the unit is dated and needs various repairs (which is not noticeable in the pictures).
We cannot recommend the owners’ Xterra rental at this time (based on our 4.5 days with it mid-May). It was explained that the front brakes are new; however, the rear brakes are in serious need of replacement. This was nerve racking at times, but we couldn’t do anything about it at that point. Also, the back windows don’t go up and down properly and only by the driver’s control button.
Lastly, there are *a lot* of (detailed) instructions that you’ll end up with at various times *after* booking. Part of it has to do with this complex having HOA rules. Part of it has to do with the owners not being on the island.
I recommend that the owners have someone on the island as the point of contact for guest check in/out so that guests would not be overburdened with so many instructions during their vacation.
Here are just a *few* examples: ensure parking pass is displayed in your vehicle (or get towed), but remove it just before departure (or get fined); lock doors to unit, but not the deadbolt; check rental car fluids and add as needed; tie down car cover at airport with bungee cords.
We stayed at 2 other third-party places during our vaca and both were simple check in/out as most of us are used to.

We had a wonderful time at this condo. The lanai view was awesome, the pool was great. Extra amenities like croquette were enjoyed. The fact that they can rent a car at a reasonable price was an extra bonus. Communication with Jerry and Meredith was prompt and thorough. We would love to stay here again.

Cannot recommend more.. Jerry and Meredith were great communicating with us.. Beautiful sunrises. Go to the benches in the eve to socialize with other residents to watch the sunset!! I grew up in the islands and had never been to Molokai.. it’s a true get away!! Pool was great and usually just a few peeps around.. bbq set up is great.. we ate most meals in but ventured to grounds and grinds several times for fried rice and egg rolls to go with what we were grilling.. if you really want to escape this is the place for you

If the property were any closer to the water, you would be swimming. Fantastic sea view. Jerry and Meredith, the owners of the condo, were great in their communications and their welcome. This one bedroom unit is perfectly located on the 2nd floor facing the ocean. We could see whales spouting and breaching from the lanai all day long. The nice set of binoculars provided by our hosts got a lot of use while we were there! The unit was exactly what I expected from the photos. Very clean and well stocked with many basic items in the kitchen and bathroom. In addition, they supplied coolers, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, boogie boards and a surf board.
The Wavecrest property was spotless at all times. The pool and BBQ area were inviting and everyone was friendly. Next to the pool is a very large covered area. It had walls on 2 sides and ocean facing windows on the 3rd side. It was the perfect place to sit and read or relax when the breeze picked up.
We enjoyed spectacular sunrises and sunsets everyday. Our best meal was at Paddlers. Service and food were excellent. Really enjoyed dinner Motel Molokai at sunset with live music by local talent. Great affordable eats at Goods & Grinds.
This was our first trip to Molokai. We were thrilled with the authentic hawaiian experience. Wavecrest was a perfect location for us. Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay. This condo was perfect for our stay. The bed is comfortable. The vue is amazing. You can sit on the lanai and eat while watching the beautiful ocean and wind in the 🌴 trees. The owners are extremely kind and responds extremely quick. We will be back. The pool was perfect and this little community is wonderful. The rental car was a perfect option. Thank you for a wonderful stay. If you visit Molokai don't forget the sun screen, aloe gel. The condo had seasonings and things in the pantry. I would recommend bringing certain things from the mainland if you must have it. The grocery stores have a lot you can choose from. You have to try the hot bread at night at the bakery! We love all the places we ate at. The food trucks poke nachos was Heavenly, the pizza at the pizza restaurant was good, breakfast at the bakery had amazing French toast, the list goes on the food places on the island are amazing. Restaurant at hotel Molokai is good and the Vue spectacular. The snack and go Ice Cream shop is absolutely delicious and the staff super kind and friendly especially Justin!! We fell in love with Molokai. Thank you for all the help and great communication. Jerry and Meredith are really kind and helpful. Perfect with information, answering questions and help!

We watched the sunrise every morning over the island of Maui while we sat on the lanai sipping coffee & it was incredible! The condo was nice & clean, and the king size bed was very comfortable. Jerry & Meredith have truly outfitted their condo with everything that anyone could possibly need while staying on the island of Molokai, and they were always available via text or email & wonderfully attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The condo is steps from the beach and has amazing views of the ocean and other islands! We loved having all the beach toys(chairs, boogie boards, cooler, masks, snorkels, etc) and made full use of them. The book with all the directions to the beaches and things to do and see on the island was sooo helpful! I have been to Molokai before and still discovered new things!! Our hosts were very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed! We also rented the Xterra and had a great experience with that…perfect for this island. We will definitely be back!!

The condo is perfect for me and my daughter. Right on the ocean with a continuous ocean breeze all day and night. The oceanfront pool is wonderful and well maintained. Could not ask for better! My daughter and I had an unforgettable stay and will be back for sure. Mahalo Jerry and Meredith!

Great communication with the owners, they were so kind and flexible! As for the unit, cozy but plenty big for two, wonderful view of Maui. Best part is the closet with everything you need to enjoy your stay! Snorkel gear, ice chests, beach chairs etc. Came in handy! Would highly recommend, thank you again!

Perfect for couple, with comfy king-size bed (and hide-a-bed in living room.) Building A right on the water, second-floor location makes for wonderful, cool ocean breeze. South-facing lanai is perfect for sunrise breakfasts and relaxing apres anything. Full kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, and "toy closet" included beach chairs & mats, snorkeling equipment, and even golf clubs (the local Ironwood Hills 9-hole public course was one-of-a-kind!) Owners, Jerry & Meredith, were lovely to deal with and so very helpful with travel tips and advice, and quick to reply to any questions we had. The grounds were very tidy, and the pool and cabana were absolutely wonderful. Complex is 13 miles from town but close to a number of small beaches. Quiet and peaceful - at least while we were there the last week+ of May. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid-back, low-stress getaway. We absolutely loved it!
