This top floor unit has unbeatable breathtaking ocean views. You can sit on the lanai in the morning with your coffee and look at the ocean, or enjoy the sunsets in the evenings. The view from this condo is spectacular as verified by the many reviews. With approximately 1000 square feet of living space with vaulted ceilings, this unit is second to none in the area and has everything a couple or family could ask for. Two bedrooms which include a comfortable California King size bed in the first bedroom and two new twin beds in the second. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and full floor to ceiling windows to allow the trade winds to flow through the condo during the evening and night. The living room has a new pull out couch for an extra one adult or two kids. The living room is equipped with a full entertainment package including high speed internet, a 60” television, and a sound bar, The kitchen comes equipped with a full-size refrigerator with a handy ice/water dispenser, oven, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and dishes. Ice is invaluable in the Maui heat so the fridge quickly becomes a guests best friend. Load up your cooler with drinks and ice and you are set for the day sightseeing or beach going. The kitchen has most everything you have at home to prepare your own meals. Take advantage of the amazing Weber stainless steel grills by the pool to have a family meal outdoors. Fresh fish from the harbor or quality steaks from Costco are popular choices for these grills. There are two picnic tables available by the pool so the whole family can picnic/swim/cook all at the same time.
The dining area has a six person high table with six stools. There is also a bar type access to the kitchen, so you can eat at the kitchen counter casual style if you prefer.
There is a brand new air conditioning unit for those hot afternoons when you return from the heat and need a break or nap. However, the condo has excellent natural ventilation throughout when the lanai sliding door, the bedroom windows, and doors are all open. The winds of Maui whistle through very nicely being on the top floor.
The bathroom is tiled and has a large vanity. There is a second vanity outside the bathroom so multiple guests can get ready for the day simultaneously. There is a new Samsung washer and dryer right in the unit for guests to use. The condo comes equipped with everything you need at the beach, such as beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, towels, and a cooler for cold drinks and snacks.
The unit is located directly across from Sugar Beach, which is the longest walking beach on Maui. Take a morning stroll along the beach heading North for about a mile where you can stop to enjoy breakfast at Sugar Beach Bakery. The coffee and the baked treats (macadamia nut sticky buns are a favorite of ours) are an amazing way to start your day. This beach is a great spot for kite board surfers, wind surfers, paddle boarders, and snorkelers.
There are beautiful sunsets every night you can enjoy from the lanai or walk just one hundred steps from the condo door to the beach. Take your camera, a beach chair, and a cold drink to enjoy this real time slide show of the incredible Maui sunsets, which are different every night.
The condo is central to just about everything. It’s a short twenty minute drive to the Kahului Airport (OGG), Costco, and Target. Five minutes to central Kihei and forty minutes to Kaanapali, this condo has the convenience of being “The HUB” of Maui. Central to access the Road to Hana, the Haleakala Crater, Wailea, and Paia, this condo is the perfect location. Kihei also gets the least amount of rainfall anywhere on the island so you are sure to have the best weather Maui has to offer.
There is so much to see and do all over Maui, we suggest getting a rental car to experience as much as you can during your visit. All major car companies are available at the airport or checkout Kihei Car Rentals for a more affordable option. World Class Golf courses (eg. Kapalua, Wailea), both public and private are close by. Shopping, restaurants, bars, convenience stores, groceries are all an easy drive away. There is a nice Safeway in Kihei off the Piilani Hwy and Piikea Avenue, and there is a fruit stand next to the Sugar Beach Bakery. We recommend trying Maui Gold pineapple at least once!
When we are at the condo we look forward to making coffee each morning and sitting on the lanai to enjoy the spectacular ocean views while listening to the birds singing in the trees only a few feet away. Some of our favorite things to do and see have been checking out the Twin Falls on the road to Hana, walking along Dragon's Teeth up near Kapalua, snorkeling with the turtles in the ocean (but not too close!) and listening to the waves on one of the beautiful beaches. Our favorite beach is Wailea Beach for it's fine sand and clear snorkeling, and Big Beach for playing in the waves. (Be very careful though as it has a strong shore break, as the lifeguards will advise). Also, hiking in the Redwoods at Poli Poli park, or mountain biking are lots of fun too. You can rent great mountain or road bikes at Cranks in Makawao and hit the many trails.
We also enjoy the many great dining options including Kihei Café (breakfast), Coconuts (fish tacos), Café O'Lei, Momma's Fish House, and Cool Cat Café, to name a few.
After a long day sightseeing or beach going, it is very nice to return to the shade and cool AC of the condo and to an ice cold beverage of your choice. The pool and hot tub are a great way to have some down time, especially with kids who enjoy a pool setting and can be monitored from the many pool lounge chairs.
You can see the top of Mount Haleakala (Hawaiian for House of the Sun). It is a dormant volcano over 10,000 feet high. One activity we highly recommend for both young and old is watching the sunrise from the top of Mt. Haleakala. You can take a tour to enjoy the scenic drive or drive yourself and enjoy your independence, however, you have to get up early (around 3:00AM) to get there on time.
Other recommended activities are: Maui Ocean Center Aquarium (optional scuba with sharks), the Maui Golf & Sports Park for kids, Pacific Whale Center to whale watch, learn to surf at the cove, hike Iao Valley, walk by La Perouse Bay, helicopter tour to other Islands and remote untouched areas, the road to Hana, or simply relax and spend a day at the world's finest spa close by, the Grand Wailea Spa. Then finish the evening with a traditional Hawaiian Luau. There is so much to see and do on Maui, you can’t possibly do it all in one trip. I would be happy to help you with suggestions as my goal is to make everyone's holiday the best it can be. Maui is a highly addictive place and you will leave relaxed and rejuvenated!

We absolutely loved the property. It was our first time to Maui and the property gave us everything we needed. We had a wonderful ocean view and a nice stretch of beach that was perfect for a morning stroll. The afternoons did get a bit windy but that was expected and was nice to have blowing through the slider and open windows. Had everything we needed to prepare meals but was also close to every type of dining. Uuhuulanis Hawaiian Shaved Ice was right down the road and was simply heaven! Since it was our first time to Maui we knew we wanted to explore many places and beaches and we thought that being there in Kihei was perfect for heading out in any direction. My son and I played golf at the Maui Nui Golf Club, only a 5 minute drive, and it was a good, fair course with beautiful views and a great post round burger. The condo was in a great location with a nice view. Check in instructions were easy and complete. Having 2 separate bedrooms made the stay really comfortable for a couple and the grown kids. Clean and friendly, and host was accommodating.

Location is great with the beach right across the street. Beds are comfortable and the condo was clean. The only thing dropping the rating is the bedrooms were extremely hot. There is an air-conditioning unti in the living room but the air does not flow to the bedrooms. Also no wind came through the windows to cool the bedrooms and having the windows open actuality made it hotter. It averaged around 84f in the bedrooms. Also the air conditioning turns off after a couple of hours so it did not help to leave it running overnight. When we attempted to contact the host about something else we never heard back.

My family had the privilege of staying at John and Cindy’s lovely condo in Kihei last week. We are so thankful to have such great host who insured that we had everything we needed for our visit and provided us with great suggestions on where to go and how to spend our time. The condo is central to everything in Maui making travel time reasonable for any family traveling with small children. Right across the street is the ocean; we loved opening the windows in the morning to hear the birds (and yes, even the roosters) along with the sound of the waves rolling in get us ready for our day and ending the day watching the sunset from this location to. The condo also has a well maintained pool offering a great place to relax mid-afternoon or after a full day of exploring. We can’t wait to book again.

We have been wanting to visit Maui for many years and finally decided that this was the year. This condo is exactly as described but better. It’s very quiet and comfortable. Some reviews said that this condo is dated. I must agree that it’s not brand new but I was pleasantly surprised that the beds and furnishings were new and very clean and comfortable. The style is warm and welcoming. The condo had everything you need for the beach, chairs, cooler, umbrella’s… The location was also great! Central to a lot of the activities and areas we wanted to see. Our host was very responsive and even emailed us to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this condo for families or couples as an economical alternative to a resort. Oh, and the sunsets from the balcony are amazing!

The condo was in a great location and was a quiet property. That was nice! There was a balcony that looked out to the ocean. Great place to have morning coffee. The condo had beach towels, chairs and toys that was great! Upon arrival the condo was closed up and extremely hot. We put on window air conditioner and tried to turn on ceiling fan in living room. Emailed the owners about ceiling fan and left for hours. When we returned air conditioner was blowing warm. Owner said use remote to turn on ceiling fan it didn’t work. My son and I are from Alaska and found the heat to be too much. Owner let me know there was a box fan in closet it helped that night! We stayed for 7 nights. 4 of the nights with slider and all windows open and our bedroom ceiling fans on it was breezy and very comfortable. unfortunately, 3 of the nights were warmer and not as breezy. We struggled to sleep on those nights. I hope they fix ceiling fan for next group or purchase a few more fans.

A fantastic location! View from the balcony is beautiful/ saw numerous whales and easy access to Sugar beach for beach walks to the Sugar Beach bakery. Kihei is a great central location for exploring the island. Great to have a designated parking spot and grills/pool area/washing station for sand are exactly as stated and nice to use.
The condo is well laid out, beds are comfy, washer/dryer are very handy, and the ice maker/beach equipment is great. So, why the three star rating? The DVD player did not work and speakers did not work so even the live TV was not audible. Dishwasher did not work, front stove burner did not work unless on 9 or higher, and we did not use the A/C because it had a strong moldy smell when turned on. We looked at the outside unit and it had black gunk in the tube and rust throughout the unit. The living room chairs, curtains, and rugs are tattered and need replaced. We did contact Jon and the property manager about the DVD/Speakers and dishwasher and they did promptly and empathetically respond with troubleshooting ideas (that unfortunately didn't work) and noted that they will be fixed after our stay. We didn't report the other issues at this point as we were out and about enjoying Maui! If it was one issue, I would say we were unlucky with our stay....but the numerous problems seem to add up with an issue with upkeep. If these problems are fixed, a perfect condo for your Maui vacation!

Property owner was very responsive (John) and great to deal with! All the info was spot on and we had no questions as he provided all the info needed.
Everything was as described with few surprises. Condo had everything we needed and we were overall happy with staying there for a week.
Only a few cons I’ll touch on; master bed was very used with ruts and little back support, and after 6 nights my back was killing me. Also the pillow was not good (but that’s on me as there were extra pillows in the closet). The two chairs in the living room are bad with no spring to them. Didn’t help my back situation by sitting on them.
There isn’t enough lighting in the entrance/ living room area. Also there are cockroaches and we killed about a dozen while there. The dryer vent hose was full of sand prior to our arrival and was very loud when running a load.
This condo is on the third floor so the view is great but you will be carrying everything up the stairs, Including heavy luggage.
We enjoyed our time on Maui!

We loved waking up to the view of the ocean from this apartment. Good size and had everything we needed. A littles dated but very comfortable and good value when compared to other apartments. Wish it was closer to downtown Kihei but loved the sushi restaurant at the next complex we could walk to. Would definitely recommend if you’re okay to be out of the down town and would stay again in a heart beat. A big thanks to John for going above and beyond with communication and recommendations.

Our stay was good the only downside is owner seemed to be uncaring about valuable things that was accidentally left behind.
There must be a lot of things that guests left behind that they keep. I left my apple AirPods case in the property and some toiletries and I am sure thing of it 100% . I know they have cleaners for the property but a bit disappointing not able to get help. I messaged the owner and all he say was .. they will look out for it , .
The cleaner must say … they didn’t see any.

We had nice comfortable stay for three nights in Maui. Nice central location. Small, but uncrowded pool for our 10yo to play in. Very easy access to the beach for son to play at between bigger day trip activities. Nice to be able to cook own meals in well equipped kitchen. A/C kept main spaces cool when needed, though bedrooms were a bit warm even with ceiling fans. Furnishings nice, but dated which is expected at value price. Overall nice stay.

I was very pleased with my recent stay at Kihei Holiday. It was a perfect location with a nearly unobstructed view, proximity to beaches, Kihei and Lahaina, close to an ABC Store as well as a Hawaiian ice. The only fault I have with our stay was the living room future. The chairs were just ok but the couch wasn’t very comfortable. We weren’t in the room much so it didn’t bother us but if you spent much time in the condo, the couch would get annoying.

This property was great! Easy to get to from the airport, centrally located to all the island activities, and right next to the water! Great location, close to many things we wanted to visit and an awesome view of the beach from the balcony. Beach is across the street so we didn’t have to use the community pool at all for any water activities. Home had beach chairs, coolers and sand toys for the kids which was very helpful for our daily outings to the beach.
