This cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated with Hawaiian quilt blocks and hibiscus artwork. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed to cook our meals. The downstairs shower is fun and we loved the artwork there as well It is great to be able to walk across the street to the beach. The only downside is that some nights there is noise from the beach campground. Overall this house was wonderful. A great place to get away. The owners were responsive and friendly and ready to help with suggestions of where to shop and what to visit.

we loved the beach, the house, the quiet. the house was a little bit hot but there is a window unit. there's no shade in the yard but there are trees planted and growing so in a year or two....! the beach is gorgeous, isolated, safe for kids. if anything, the isolation was a little much for our four-year-old, but we'd come back when she's older, or as a couple. owners live behind in a bigger house and are very sweet.

We arrived slightly early without a hitch (besides the car rental) or a problem with owners, maybe an hour. The place was everything we wanted. Old, simplistic and well thought out. We appreciated the cleanliness and the hospitality from Greg and Sue. They really hosted a wonderful stay when the power went out the first night as well as the neighbors. They take care of the property meticulously and are friendly. I recommend and plan on going back if allowed by Greg and Sue. Through strugggles at the park, they continue to guide the brilliance they brought and are bringing to the neighborhood. FYI- It's literally a 20 second walk to the beach! WONDERFUL! Really lovely cottage just steps from the beach. The bed was really comfy, and the kitchen is really well stocked with everything you need to cook. Really nicely decorated with lots of breeze and an AC is you need one--although we didn't need to. There are beach chairs and mats...a big bonus

My daughter & I had a fantastic 5 day visit to Kauai, the cottage was the perfect home to come to every evening or just hop across the street to the white sand & blue ocean for the day. Super comfortable with all accommodations needed. I will be back again…Mahalo Nui Loa

Our stay at the Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage was truly wonderful. The property has charming decor, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, and is extremely clean from front to back. Management communications are both timely and pleasant. Mahalo to all of the staff at Garden Island Properties!This cottage's proximity to the beach is perfect. The beach is a very short walk away. Fresh ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves makes sleeping at the cottage incomparable. We will definitely be returning!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage. Walking distance from the beach and you can hear the ocean waves from the house. Felt like a local in this residential neighborhood, not touristy at all. The house was very clean and comfortable, excellent bedding and everything you would need in the kitchen. Towels, beach chairs and plenty of soap for your convenience. The owners live close by and are very nice and respectful. Great central location to a lot of other great beaches and shopping. Would definitely rent this place again.

Our second enjoyable stay at Hibiscus Hula. The location is convenient, and good except there was some night partying across the street at the beach park, including a shouting altercation which ended before the police arrived. Everything was spotless except for the gas grill. The cooking grate obviously had not been cleaned for a while and was covered with moldy, crusty grease which took some effort to clean and burn off. The kitchen is well equipped except it needs a knife sharpener. Lots of knives but all dull!

Not a negative thing to say about this amazing little house. This was our second time staying here and we love it more now than last time. Just to lay there in bed at night while the sound of the ocean puts you to sleep..... Perfect location, clean with everything you need. Sue and Greg are the best. Such friendly neighbors making us feel right at home. The only reason we wouldn’t recommend this perfect little cottage, is because we want it to be available for us our next trip HA! . Mahalo.....

Wonderful place giving an immediate walkable access to the wonderful Anahola beach. Great house too that gives you a much better sense of belongings to the island than a condo-experience. Great service for Garden Island properties too.

We loved out three week stay at Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage. The beds and linens are so comfortabe and the kitchen is completely stocked will all the cooking tools you could possibly need. We loved watching the sunrise every morning and spending the afternoon and evenings sitting on the front porch. The location is perfect, with Kapa'a nearby and Princeville/Hanalei not far away. The cottage is on a quiet dead end street just across from a wonderful beach. The owners are friendly and helpful and live just next door. We felt at home and look forward to spending another 3-4 weeks here next year.

Had a great trip to Kauai for our toddler's second birthday. We loved our stay here - he still asks me to "talk about the Hawaii house" :) The owners next door were very friendly, chatted with them daily and got some great local suggestions for food and beaches. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood away from touristy areas, short walks across the street to the beach, view of the mountains from the kitchen, and relaxing on the porch. A/C was helpful on the hotter days. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Hibiscus Hula was so nice!! We stayed here for our last week on our honeymoon and it was the perfect opportunity to relax and spend quality time together. The view of the mountains behind the cottage was so nice! We felt like we were in a good location to explore the whole island. Our only issue was the first two nights, people camping on the beach played really loud music and set off fireworks really late at night and into the early morning. Other than that, we had a great stay!!!

Our stay in Hawaii was awesome. This home is really cute and has all of the essentials needed for a beach vacation. The beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear was all perfect and in great condition. All supplies for cooking were on hand and the outdoor grill was excellent. This house felt like a home and we were super comfortable there. We hope to return in the future!

We had a wonderful experience. The house was in a terrific location, just a short walk away from Anahola Bay. The small A/C unit worked well to keep the place cool, although we stayed in May when it wasn't terribly hot. The hosts were very responsive.

We had a lovely four days in this modest but thoughtfully decorated "old Hawaii" cottage, which comes with a well furnished kitchen. The owner lives next door, and we welcomed the local information. The beach in front is suitable for a cautious dip. To swim we walked 10 minutes down the beach to a protected cove with a life guard. Locationl is very quiet and convenient to exploring the north shore.

We loved the yellow house in Anahola. It was perfect.. had so much charm and everything we needed. (Kitchen fully stocked and the home is decorated beautifully) Thankful for the AC unit & lots of fans. I enjoyed reading on the porch (listening to the ocean & surrounding wildlife) and sitting at the dining table in the kitchen (looking at the amazing mountains).
The house was very clean. The yard and property is well kept too. My other favorite part - lots of beach towels, coolers, beach chairs, umbrella etc.
The location is right across the street from the beach. The proximity on the island is great too - you can get to anywhere you need. The management company is so easy to work with and keeps you informed of everything you need.
We loved it - we would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back someday!

Great cottage near the beach. Very, very clean. Well appointed for beach time (towels, chairs etc.). Skillfully done remodel of what was once a much more modest dwelling (as a furniture maker, I appreciate the details). Shower is detached from the half bath, located in the basement, but that's actually pretty convenient for coming in from the beach or hiking. Great outdoor shower as well. Kitchen is just fine with plenty of stuff. The owner lives next door and is very friendly. Beach is just across the road...not the best beach on Kauai, but it's a beach! Lovely hearing the ocean sounds at night. All in all a fine stay, especially for the price.

We had an amazing stay at the Hibiscus house. The beach was right across the road and this beach is know you be one of the favorites for family adventures and beautiful long walks. The house had everything we needed to make homemade meals and the kitchen was spacious. The home is very safe and the yard is beautiful and well maintained. It was quite at night with just the sound of the ocean. The location was in the countryside yet you can drive to town in 20 minutes or less. Beach toys, coolers, plenty of towels, lounge chairs and a shade umbrella were also provided to make beach trips complete. We had so much fun and the beach is a hidden gem everyone loved.
