This house is fabulous and the sound of the ocean permeates throughout. An oversized lanai is great for catching ocean breezes. It is very well equipped and has a ‘newly built’ feel. The kitchen has professional appliances, pots/pans/every kitchen tool imaginable. The mattresses are very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was very well stocked with luxury shampoo & conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towel, laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, hand soap, etc.. They even had yoga mats and binoculars. Every space, inside and out, is deliberately planned for optimum enjoyment. Even the beach gear was highest quality: Tommy Bahama.
Our absolute favorite activity was finding turtles on the beach out back early in the morning and watching them return to the ocean. You WILL see multiple turtles every day.
Exploring the ocean’s edge and multiple tidal pools was fun - they had fish, little crabs, and sea urchins.
A nearby General Store is quaint but has nearly every needed essential as well as great coffee and home made chocolate chip cookies.
Here is a point I did not know: the ocean that abuts the property is not a wading beach (except for very adventurous and fearless folks). But there is beautiful Hapuna Beach which is a nine minute drive, that has wonderful white sand, and beautiful sunsets! Take a right out of the property and at the end you will find a great place to snorkel (terrain is a bit tough but worth it)!

My family really enjoyed our time here. Now we are spoiled and can never stay anywhere but a house on the beach. My kids loved running down to the beach every morning to see the sea turtles which made their appearance every single day of our trip. We decided to celebrated my wife's birthday with our three adult kids and significant others on the Big Island. Our daughter lives in Japan so COVID has kept our family apart for most of the past 2 years, making this trip an important reunion as well as birthday celebration. This house was the perfect place to celebrate!
The house is absolutely immaculate. Every feature and fixture is first class. The host has discretely labeled all the cabinets and drawers so you know where everything is and where it belongs when you are done with it. A small touch that reflects the care and thoughtfulness that went into every feature of the house.
We originally intended to eat out a lot, because innumerable restaurants are within a 10 minute drive. Instead, we fell in love with the big square table on the lanai. We took turns cooking and spent almost every evening gathered around that table, enjoying each other's company and the amazing views. We planned on visiting the local beaches on most days (two beautiful ones are within a 5 minute drive) but by far the best snorkeling we did was on the reef just offshore of the house. There is a reason dive boats and snorkel boats congregate offshore. We also feel in love with the resident sea turtles, who inevitably joined us on every swim. The only cautionary note is to make sure you enter the water about 10 yards down the beach on the right from the house. That allows you to miss some rocks and sea urchins (we learned that after our first swim).
We can't imagine a better placer to stay and we can't wait to return to the Big Island and this absolutely perfect home.

We booked this property for a family vacation and if I could give this property a 6, I would. Location was great...on a quiet neighborhood street near several nice beaches that our family really loved. Took about 35 minutes from the Kona airport up the main highway. Thus we did some driving back and forth as several of our excursions were in Kona but we didn't mind the drive. We had high expectations going in but the house exceeded those. The beds were super comfy and all the bedrooms were large. The family suite was great for one of our children who brought their baby allowing them to have some extra privacy. We used the Sonos sound system and the TV was top notch. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed (coffee maker, toaster, microwave). We really appreciated that the kitchen was already stocked with spices and paper products including coffee filters so that we didn't have to worry about those. There was also plenty of soaps and toilet paper so we didn't have to worry about that either. And the view to the ocean was amazing. Most mornings we sat on the porch to eat breakfast and watch the goings-on in the bay. We snorkeled right off the beach (would recommend wearing water shoes and watching out for sea urchins) and saw multiple sea turtles. There was plenty of high quality beach towels and beach equipment including chairs, umbrellas and fins provided which was super helpful. It was a great home for our vacation. And the property staff was very attentive and kept in good communication with us before and during our stay. We would definitely rent again and I highly recommend it.

The house and the location could not have been more perfect for our family vacation. The house is spacious, comfortable and right on the beach ... what a treat to wake up every morning to a gorgeous view and the sound of waves. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen is perfectly appointed with plenty of counter space. We ate both indoors and out - both easily accommodated our group of 7. We especially loved the location. Our teenage son walked right out to the beach and surfed a few times. The drive to nearby beaches is quick and easy. Our favorite was Hapuna for the boogie boarding. We went for an ~hour long walk every morning, heading north towards Hapuna or South towards the nearby state park / surf spot. We can’t recommend this spot enough and can’t wait to return!

If I could have a home in Hawaii, I would envision one like this, down to every last, well-thought-out detail. The surroundings are serene and gorgeous. It’s convenient to anywhere you need to go, but you won’t want to go anywhere. Do yourself a favor and rent SUPs or kayaks and stay right here. We would definitely stay again.

Living in this house is like a dream! Property manager met us at the house and gave a tour. House was spotless. Many, many details had been thought of and attended to. In particular the kitchen is fabulously well stocked with pans, appliances, etc. including a rice cooker and electric skillet and coffee grinder and a very nice blender. House opens to some of the finest reef in the islands--snorkel or scuba from shore. Our party dove every day of the stay. Outdoor heated shower is the best! Puako is so quiet at night and the stars are amazing. Ocean breeze is great but air conditioning was much appreciated in afternoons.

This home is absolutely beautiful! Great for a family vacation or several couples travelling to Hawaii. The location is great if you want to get away from the crowd and simply relax. Views across the bay are amazing and turtle visits are pretty much a daily event. Property management team was excellent and attentive....but quite frankly everything was provided that we needed. There is a small grocery store just down the road, and a larger store within a relatively short drive.

This is a spectacular home, immaculate and serene. Incredibly fine craftsmanship you just don't see much of these days. Sophisticated design, elegant decor. The house had everything we could possibly need and more. We loved having meals on the large lanai looking out onto the beautiful bay, relaxing on the hammock and lounge chairs under the shade of the gorgeous big tree. Great snorkeling right out front (snorkel gear was provided), easiest entrance into the water is at high tide. This is an exceptional estate and one that we plan to return to next year!
