We recently stayed on the beautiful North Shore with my family of 4, my brothers family of 4 and our parents and had a wonderful stay. The house comfortably fit all of us for sleeping and had a great arrangement for kids to have their space and adults to have theirs.
Nothing beats waking up to a great view of Queens Bath and the ocean and you can catch great sunsets on the nearby Makai golf course or 1 hotel. Summer time I can imagine you can see the sunset from the property. We could even see sea turtles directly from the cliff above where the property sits.
Princeville and Hanalei are special locations and this property is a great way to experience it. We hope to stay here again in the coming years!

This spacious home is located on a sunning piece of property overlooking Queen's Bath. The main living area allowed various groups to gather, the bar was useful as a buffet serving station and the screened-in porch became a gaming area.
As others have mentioned, the kitchen could use an update. Having a second full sized refrigerator in the garage and a bar cooler in the pantry really were appreciated.
There are five bedrooms but one (with twin beds) can only be accessed via one of two other bedrooms and must share that bath.
Some maintenance issues were referred to the management, who responded to the problems quickly, but repairs could not be scheduled before our visit was over. (2nd Dryer)
The large yard and pool area were a hit with everyone while trade winds and fans kept us comfortable.

I've been to Kauai a handful of times, and it's rare to find a place with such a great ocean view and your own pool & hot tub as this place. Wow! Resorts & condos typically have a shared pool, but not too many private home rentals do...and to be able to watch the sunset into the ocean from the pool, just spectacular. Our group was very appreciative of the hosts to have us stay in this great home, which had everything you could want or need. Lots of space for everyone to hang out together, or separately should they need a break. Previous reviews noted the odd bedroom layout as you have to go through one of the other rooms to get to the one with twin beds, but we had two teenagers that took those rooms, so it wasn't a big deal. If your group has 5 couples, someone will have to flip a coin to see who gets a little less privacy. That said, being able to beach in the day, and come back to the private pool for drinks and sunset couldn't have been more perfect. Will definitely come back. Thanks again!

Our family had the vacation of a lifetime at this beautifully situated property. Location, location, location. We visited many beaches within a 5 mile area and spent many hours watching our view overlooking Queens Bath. The house was a bit dated, but the kitchen was well equipped and an outside grill made it very convenient to have most of our meals at home. The only problems involved some electrical outlets in the downstairs bedroom’s bathroom.

This property is not what we expected!!! Location is great, but the house was not what was shown on VRBO!
Fans, TV's, window screens and window louvers, front door key pad, pool light would not work. Floors were dirty!. Kitchen was dated and needed repairs. So expensive for what we saw when arriving. After two days I went to urgent care, with sinutitus.
In my observation I found mold on kitchen ceiling, window shades and door frames, reported it to the Manager, she offered to come and wipe down with clorox.
We left the house early to feel safe.
I wish someone had reviewed this property closer to the reality of the situation.

Big enough house for our 3 married children and their spouses, and our 3 young granddaughters where we never felt on top of each other. Great backyard with a pool and hot tub and spectacular views of the pacific and Queen's Bath below! Great beds and pillows, extra small frig in pantry and bar, double washer and dryers in garage, beach chairs, beach toys, and beach umbrellas available, big dining table as well as another dining table on lanai, plenty of glassware and dishes, spices, and cooking oils, and convenient automatic water and ice from front of fridg. No air conditioning but wasn’t a problem except for noticing the humidity and dampness of things! Furniture in big family room is a little weary, but we would definitely stay here again!

This property is gorgeous. Accurate photos and the owners add/provide lots of nice touches. The kitchen has plenty of supplies for meal prep including spices, napkins, and plastic wraps.
The beds are comfortable and there is more than enough room for everyone to have their own space.
The owners even had pool toys, coolers, and snorkel gear to use during our stay.

We came to Princeville for our son’s wedding. This house is all about the location! It sits high above Queen’s bath so we could watch hikers climb down to this unusual site from the railing. The views of the ocean and whale watching are spectacular.
The house is comfortable and inviting. The owners have thought of just about everything you could possibly need. Including spices, olive oil, dish and laundry detergent. We also had a 14 month old child with us. There was more than enough baby equipment to choose from.
There were only two negatives. The driveway only holds 2 cars and you are not allowed to park on the street. We had three cars so we had to park one across the bottom of the driveway.
Secondly, the kitchen really is overdue for a makeover.
We appreciate the owners sharing their lovely home with us.

I would highly recommend this property! The location: high above Queen’s Bath, allowed us amazing daytime views, plenty of whale watching, rainbows, and star gazing at night— all from the comfort of the chaises and pool . We even witnessed a tour helicopter swoop down—just to see the view that we had from the back yard!!! It’s about 5 minutes to (grocery)Foodland, about 15 minutes to Hanalei Bay shops and restaurants and shuttle to the Nepali Trail! The layout and amenities of this property were absolutely perfect for our group. We travelled to Kauai for a family wedding- our group consisted of 7 adults (3 couples and one single.). The layout of the house provided lots of areas to relax without tripping over one another. Everyone loved the house and commented multiple times as to how perfect it was for us. The beds (according to reports from others) were all very comfortable and everyone was able to sleep without interrupting/waking anyone. I have to mention that the kitchen and baths haven’t been updated in a while- but that had zero effect on our stay. (Actually, if they had been the place would probably have been out of our budget:)) We made several
meals in the house and enjoyed the screened in dining area and the bar. I just can’t say enough about how perfect the space was! We would definitely return if we go back to Kauai!

Beautiful location and beautiful view.
A few encounters we had on our stay.
1. Arrived to the house and there was a dead rat right by the entrance, but property manager was informed and immediately picked up the rat within an hour.
2. The house is on the older side and needs some updating: some outlets do not work, the chairs facing the beautiful ocean view were falling apart, the house doesn't all have windows so we found bugs coming in all the time, towels are a bit rough and recommend new ones or bring your own
3. No communication when gardeners or cleaning personal coming to the house. We were trying to enjoy one of our days however the gardener who was super sweet took almost 3 hours while the loud leaf blowing. I just wish they communicate because we could've planned better around this.

This house has lots of room, both for sleeping and for gathering. We found ourselves spending time in various parts of the house as a group of 8, and enjoyed the spectacular outdoor setting as well.

This is a really wonderful vacation home. It feels like vacation, like Hawaii, like Kauai. The rooms are spacious, relaxing, calming. The boys played golf on one of the best courses in the nation. The pool occupied the kiddos. Lots of chances for fun for the adventurous. Queen’s Bath is just below the property. Owners are gracious and attentive. Adventures and fun things are within reach. No question that this is our favorite place on the windward side of Kauai (just FYI, the windward side of Kauai is our favorite part of Hawaii). The property exudes a positive energy. Definitely will do again.

This VRBO is amazing. In between the trailhead to Queens Bath and the Makai Golf Course, it could not have a better location. The pool and outdoor area is fantastic. The house admittedly has a funky layout and is there's nothing modern about it - but this didn't bother us at all. This place is massive - more than our family of 7 needed. The view from the master is gorgeous! All the windows are screened and we loved the breeze blowing throughout the house. It was never too hot. Lots of beach supplies - which came in handy. I would snap this up again in a heartbeat. Our fav VRBO on Kauai thus far.

The location was perfect! The view into Queens Bath was amazing. We hiked down every morning to swim. It was so fun. The pool is beautiful and the size of the house was great for the ten of us. We will rent this property again!
