Great location and beautiful view of Diamond Head to the beach. Had an issue with the sliding door however, the manager had someone come out quickly to fix. Street noise is loud, but otherwise no big issues. Had a great stay!

We had mixed feelings about this one. The location of this unit was good as it was really close to the beach. The bathroom and kitchenette were pretty updated and bed was comfortable. While I expected this unit to be small, the professional photos somehow made it look bigger and brighter than it was. The air conditioner unit is so close to the bed. And the level of noise in this unit was awful. I thought we had accidentally left windows open as you can hear absolutely everything from the very busy street below. There is also a nightclub on the 2nd floor and all the noise from it carries. I was prepared for that with ear plugs, however sleep was really tough even with ear plugs on the busy club nights. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The studio was as listed. Nice updated kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe. Super close to the beach and lots of shops, restaurants. Bus stop a few steps away. Gorgeous views of the Diamond Head Volcano, beach, sunrises and sunsets! AC was super cool when we arrived but hardly cooling the last night.
The street noise was very loud during the night and made it difficult to sleep. They have a original sliding door and old florida louver windows. Sound comes into the building as if you have a window open. The slider is very difficult to operate. If these were replaced, it would make a huge difference.
We came back from the beach one day and found standing water in the kitchen sink. Contacted the hotel main desk and owners. The hotel maintenance guy tried to clear the drain but was unable to do so. It was the main vertical drain line for the sinks, affecting the multiple floors. They were unable to get a plumber on-site to clear the drain. (Mostly because of the weekend) It was clogged our last 2 days of our stay.

The unit worked out really well for us. The bed was comfortable. The ceiling fan provided air movement and the window air conditioner provided some cool air when needed. Kitchenette was just enough of what we needed.
Hopefully some work will be done on the sliding door to the balcony. It is old and when we arrived it DIDN'T move very easily. We could only open it about a foot and would have to slide through it sideways. It was reported to management but they were unable to make it better during our stay.
The 2nd floor bar wasn't so much a noise problem, but when patrons would come and go, the street noise was as if they were right outside the window. Street noise is a LOT from 9pm-11/12 (the parking lot across the street has people coming and gong all day long) and then quiet until the bar closed and patrons would leave at 2am and again would be noisy for a short period of time. This also wasn't a problem for us..my spouse slept through it all and I would fall back asleep easily if awakened.
Our stay would have been great if the slider worked properly!

Great location, I mean great! But has old louvre windows and it is really loud at night, used ear plugs and was fine, location is amazing but without ear plugs would not have been able to sleep!

Location...Location! Right across from the Zoo and the most gorgeous beach!! Perfect for a couple. There were issues in the room though such as lanai door was hard to open and shut...shower water never gets "hot" and the noise from the street at night is not filtered at all..we were woke up a LOT! Overall..its a cute little setting for a week stay.

Access to the Waikiki beach was great. Great view from 7th floor balcony as we could see the ocean, the zoo and Diamond Head.
The room was smaller than it looks in the VRBO pics. I was also very noisy at all hours. There is a bar on the second floor that stays open very late. The parking lot across the street is a gathering place for loud cars and mopeds. While we never felt unsafe, it was hard to get a good night's sleep.

Yes it's small, yes it's noisy at night, but it quietens down after midnight, however location is ideal, and you really can't beat the price. Bring ear plugs if you go to bed early.

What a wonderful property and location. It was perfect for a short trip with family. The location was right off the beach and it was a quiet area with walking distance to so many things. Right across from the zoo and the beach. The parking that we got was perfect! Highly recommend this little gem for 1-2 people.

Room was small but perfect for a couple weeks and Price was good. Windows were falling apart and patio door worn out hard to open and close. Would have been nice with a few cleaning products so we could clean up as we stayed two weeks. We bought a swifter and some spray cleaner. Over all stayed at this facility 5 times know and is nice and close to everything. Not the ritz but works could use some upgrades!!

Great stay, communication was great from hosts, awesome location. Parking is tough, we recommend getting parking from the host but note, parking spaces are small and tight. Also, street can be loud at night but it’s Waikiki, what do you expect!

Stayed here with my son for a week. The location was amazing. About 2 blocks from the beach, across the street from the zoo. Plenty of places to walk to. Balcony had a great view.
Room had all kinds of things to use to cook. Crock pot, rice cooker, toaster oven, microwave and hot plate. Internet worked great and I was able to use it to zoom on several occasions.
The only negatives is that it's loud at night if you are a light sleeper. There is metered parking across the street at the zoo for $1.50/hr and will text you so you can add time to the meter automatically. Free parking is on the other side of the zoo, but we had nonproblem finding free parking after sunset.

This was exactly as described: a small, pleasant unit with a great view and everything one would need for a great trip to Waikiki. It’s not fancy but it’s perfect. Short walk to the beach, great balcony view of diamond head and the beautiful ocean. Equipped with fridge, microwave, hot plate, rice cooker. The only thing I would have wished for would be filtered drinking water (there was a brita pitcher but no filter) as the tap water wasn’t so great. Had to buy drinking water. Make sure to recycle your bottles and cans at the end of the hall before you leave. There’s a bit of street noise and there’s a super cute gay bar / restaurant on the second floor (we got to see a great local singer guitar duo perform cover songs and original numbers as we ate dinner one evening) so it’s not quiet as some would like, but hey, it’s Waikiki. The people in the lobby were friendly and helpful. Aloha!

The bright side is that this unit is that it’s in Honolulu, where you don’t spend much time indoors…..the space is just not very inviting. The lanai, where we did have morning coffee, is in major need of cleaning and paint. When we would sit out in the evening the street noise was offensive and deafening……The bathroom needs some work, as the toilet seems loose (like it’s not completely bolted to the floor) and in the shower, the handle is very loose, and hard to regulate the temperature. Also, it could use a grab bar and some sort of shelf so the soap, shampoo, etc. doesn’t have to be on the floor…..also noticed this morning that the desk char, which we didn’t pull out until this morning, has the right front leg about to fall off…it’s an accident waiting to happen…..really nice views in both directions, however, all in all, just OK.

Idling buses, motorcycles, street noise from late night bar patrons, zoom boxes etc created a negative contrast to the lovely tranquility of the area. Would stay here again, but only on the ninth floor.

I love this area with the view of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park and Waikiki Beach. It’s near public transportation and anything else you might need or want is within walking distance. The host is very accommodating and responsive. Staff here is great. There is a lot going on in this area which I like- high energy, traffic, people watching, zoo etc. My one complaint is the lack of a full length mirror and that has been inconvenient. I do love the ceiling fan and AC and the comfortable bed. I was very comfortable. I would stay here again if there was a mirror.
Spent a lot of time on the lanai- great chairs that gently rock- beach chairs provided too.
