Everything was as described. The best review we could give was the view. There’s no beach… you are looking straight down to the ocean from your balcony. We saw small & very large turtles every day. We did not expect to see whales since it was late in the season. Surprised to see many whales & caught one come almost completely out of the water. The pool area was very nice with a full kitchen, ping pong, TV, darts, cornhole, and barbecue grills. Would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo is well equipped and is very comfortable. The Lanai ocean front view is unmatched! We enjoyed sitting on the lanai every morning and even Ng watching the whales and the fantastic Maui rainbows and sunsets! We will return for another stay! Mahalo!! 🌴🌈

I'll start by saying this was our first trip to Maui so we were not sure whether we picked the right location. Well we did, wow...this condo was perfect in every respect. It was clean upon arrival and even ready for an early check-in. Communication with the owners was seamless. The unit was stocked with everything you would need for your vacation and the availability of having housekeeping once during our stay was a nice touch. It allowed you to stay stocked on paper products, shampoos, conditioners, and hand soaps. Even getting fresh bath towels and a bed refresh was more than appreciated. The location was more than perfect. We were within minutes drive of nearly anything we wanted to do. There's also a nice boardwalk that is accessible right out of the condo parking lot that extends all the way into the Lahaina Harbor area. We saw whale breachings literally everyday on the lania. The view is spectacular and right on the water. I could go on and on but if you're like me I tend to stop reading reviews after the first three or four sentences. But I will say this in ending, this condo and location will not disappoint. I know we will absolutely book this same place if we ever have a chance to return. Thank you Art & Sophie!!

MK806 is a wonderful unit. It’s clean and has everything that you need for your stay. The views are breathtaking. It’s whale season and the whales are visible wherever you look. We have a telephoto lens and were able to get some phenomenal pictures.
I would recommend this unit to anyone and Art is very easy to work with.

Great condo in a spectacular location - cannot be any closer to the water! Art & Sophie are lovely hosts and provide all you will need to get you started . . . the appliances are new and everything is clean and well maintained - and the bed very comfortable. The lanai is private and view cannot be put into words. It's the perfect unit for 2 people who love to be ON the water - the crashing tide is no joke. Pool and grounds are tidy and washers/dryers and laundry on almost every floor. It is within walking distance to grocery shopping, restaurants, ABC store, bus stop, food trucks and more. This was our second stay and we look forward to our next! Mahalo!

Loved our stay- in-season whale watching right from the balcony. Unit was appointed well in a nice complex with plenty of parking. Comfortable bed with the best sea view. Loved leaving the sliding balcony doors open - even had a screen to use to keep birds out. Great location which was convenient to lovely sunbathing and snorkel beaches (just walk outside), tons of restaurant, food truck and grocery options. Would 100% recommend!

MK806 WAS JUST PERFECT FOR US. IT WAS CLEAN, NEAT AND VERY COMFORTABLE. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OR DRIVE. FTOM THIS LOCATION ALL MAUI ATTRACTIONS WERE EASILY AVAILABLE. WE WERE VERY HAPPY AND RELAXED. WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN IF WE ARE FORTUNATE TO RETURN. MAHALO!

Other than the fact that you couldn't walk to a beach with sand all was good. They could put a rubber mat in shower as very slippery tile and no handhold in shower. Overall good.

Loved our condo with a thousand dollar ocean view. Saw hundreds of whales and a submarine. The room is set up to maximize trade winds. Kitchen well stocked. Pool never crowded. Staff supper friendly. Centrally located for easy walking to most of your vacation desires.

Maui Kai is a well-kept secret! We stayed in unit 806 and had an INCREDIBLE vacation. Art and Sophie are the best - top ratings for communication, responsiveness, kindness, care and cleanliness! As a Virgo, clean spaces are important - and often pictures don't show grime. There isn't a spec of dirt or mildew in this ocean front condo and it has all you need . . . but then again, a clean (COMFORTABLE) bed off the lanai with the ocean RIGHT outside, who really needs more? Even the sheets, mattress pad and towels were crisp white. (Note: if the sounds of the ocean keep you awake - this is not the unit for you.) The wall-mount Smart TV was a nice touch and I ordered some of the pans they had for use at our own house - kitchen very well appointed. The washer dryer is conveniently located on each floor and change machine in the pool area. Garbage disposal is often on the bottom floor of these properties - but Maui Kai offers a garbage shoot on each floor - we loved not having to tote our garbage in the elevator! You can easily walk to the grocery store, ABC, bus stop and many restaurants - it's a fantastic location! When you first SEE Maui Kai, it's an older property without all the bells and whistles - but once you walk into Art & Sophie's 806 - you'll know you made the RIGHT choice. You can pay almost double for a condo half as nice in the fancier properties nearby - that isn't our jam - we prefer clean, comfortable, convenient and affordable. We booked January 2023 in 806 while we were still there and cannot wait to return . . . again and again! Mahalo for sharing your piece of paradise with us, Art and Sophie! :)

The view from the balcony was fantastic: the sunsets, the turtles swimming by, the stars at night. And it was somehow always protected from the winds. We were able to keep our doors open at night to hear the waves. I would hope to come back when the whales are here. The condo is very nicely appointed and grocery store and some restaurants are conveniently close by. The only drawbacks are that it was very windy most of our stay, not sure if that is always true for this area this time of year. Also the beach is a bit of a walk around if the tide isn't very low.

My partner and I had an amazing time at Maui Kai 806. We were absolutely blown away with the view - it doesn’t get any better. The condo is exceptionally clean and comes well stocked for the beach + day trips (the cooler and Tupperware containers are a big help). The pool is small but is warm and clean. We loved having a hottub on site and it’s open until 10:00pm which is nice after a long day. The property is about a 15 minute drive to historic Lahaina which is convenient for a nice dinner (we did Pacific’O) or souvenir shopping. The property is also directly across from a grocery store which was convenient but very expensive - I would suggest stopping at the Walmart on the way from the airport. Overall, we would 100% be back and would recommend 806 to everyone. It was the highlight of our trip and I wish we stayed longer!

We loved Art's condo. It was very clean and up to the mark. The best part was the amazing ocean view from the patio. We loved to see sunset everyday from the patio. We also saw many fish, turtles right from the condo. We loved this condo and will stay again here in our next Maui trip. Art was an excellent host and we didn't face any difficulties throughout our stay.

My wife and I stayed for 10 days at Art and Sophie's condo during our stay in Maui and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our vacation. The condo is clean, nicely decorated, has beautiful view of the ocean, and is perfectly situated just 10 minutes from the Black Rock and numerous food options (including food trucks just 5 minutes walk from the condo). We also needed to work for a bit during our stay and the wifi is fast and reliable. Art and Sophie are quick to respond to any of our questions before and during our stay and I would definitely recommend their place for anyone looking to stay in Maui!

My husband and I share a birthday, staying here made it the best we've shared to date! The view couldn't be better, great location close to many eating/shopping options, and right by the boardwalk :) We will be back!
