The Big Island and this home have a wide range of restaurants, activities, golf, tennis and shops to enjoy nearby. At most times of the year guests can make reservations for golf, activities, and restaurants. Our guest ambassadors are happy to help our guests with any questions, ideas and love helping ohanas have an amazing experience on the Big Island. It is an incredibly friendly and safe island. Our team loves sharing their passion for the Big Island with others.

For those guests staying at Majestic Ocean Villa who want the benefits of staying in a luxury private home but also to enjoy an experience as if they were a hotel guest there is an ability to opt into the Mauna Kea Club program. Only guests staying in Mauna Kea resort homes where the owners are members of the Mauna Kea Club have the option of enjoying this option. The program includes charging privileges at two hotels (Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Westin), use of each hotel's pools, beach chairs, and hotel parking. The hotel requires guests who opt in to pay a daily fee per home, not per guest, to the hotel directly. Guests who opt in must sign up for all nights of their stay. Unlike some vacation rental companies, Paradise in Hawaii does not force guests to sign up for the program and pay higher nightly rates. For those guests choosing the Club option, our guest ambassador team will facilitate your registration. Inquire with our team for more details and for pricing. Rates are set by the hotel and are subject to change each year and during certain peak weeks. For guests who want to participate, advance registration is required with the hotel.

While some guests love the Club experience, many of our guests find that with the free nearby Kumulani community pool along with the public access to the same beaches using our collection of beach gear that signing up for the Club doesn't make sense.
Several past guests have commented there is so much to do on the Big Island that they did not make full use of the optional program.

Beyond building an elegant, yet comfortable furnished home, we know it's often the small surprises and conveniences that make all the difference.

Examples include:

• High-end luxury mattresses in all bedrooms for your comfort and enjoyment
• Luxurious high-end bedding for all beds
• Luxurious towels
• Spa shampoos, soaps and lotions
• A fully equipped kitchen for all of your cooking, and baking needs
• High-end blender for making great smoothies and other tropical drinks
• Large selection of vinegars, oils and spices
• Starter pack of Kona coffee & collection of teas
• Popcorn

For your day at the Beach:

We love building really big sand castles. Kohala sand is exceptional for this and we have the tools for kids and adults alike. For your day at the beach, you'll find:

• Comfortable beach chairs, beach mats, umbrellas, sand toys and sandcastle making equipment, and more!
• Large collection of snorkel gear in multiple sizes so you can share the wonders of the ocean
• Boogie boards to enjoy playing in the waves
• Life jackets, swim belts for the younger ones
• Large wheeled cooler and Tupperware containers for your beach picnic

Enjoy free use of our collection of bikes (adult and kids with helmets and locks) allowing you to explore the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach resorts.

For those with children:

Having traveled with our kids when they were young we know how difficult it is to lug all the baby equipment. Our goal is to make your life easier so we have equipped our vacation home with:

• Pack 'n Play
• High chair
• Baby monitors
• Bed safety rails

A short drive away are the six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Black Sand Beach, Private Beach 69, and of course two of the best beaches in Hawaii right on the resort; Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach.

The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa.

Within 10 minutes drive is three high end shopping complexes, Queens Shops at Waikoloa, Kings Shops and the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings.

We had a wonderful time. A lovely home with all the amenities you could ask for. Perfect for a family or two couples. Communication with the owners was easy and timely. Thank you for sharing your home.

We loved staying at this property - it was very comfortable and so close to the beach. We loved having access to the two resorts - that is a huge plus for this property. We cooked many of our meals in the kitchen and it is fully stocked with everything you would need. I contacted the property manager a few times and they responded very quickly and answered all my questions. We will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming to this area for 10 years. Kumulani is one of my favorite neighborhoods. This unit is beautifully decorated with nice beds and linens. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners have provided thoughtful things like laundry baskets and full sized toiletries. The garage included great beach equipment and bikes. Also enjoyed the great property managers. Fantastic from top to bottom!

We loved the place and it was clean and well stocked. The communication was great. The one complaint I have is that being right on the golf course they mow the grass and do maintenance very early ( between 5 and 6) in the morning several times during our 9 night stay.

We loved our time at this spacious and lovely property. We are a family of 5 and found the space to be great for all and you cannot beat the location. We loved having the resort amenities as the Mauna Kea beach is hard to match with surfboards available and sea turtles and manta rays swimming near the rocks. Thanks to the team - great place, we loved every minute there!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this unit. Easy drive to both the Hapuna Westin, and the Meana Kea, but i would highly encourage to invest in the amenity pass upgrade. Also, the beach lounges are all claimed by 9am, so early starts are recommended.

I almost don’t want to write about how amazing our stay was because I want to keep the secret all to ourselves. But that would be very selfish ;-) What a gem! The condo was perfect. Spacious and well appointed. The views are stunning. The location is great. You do have to drive to the beach but it’s only a 7 minute drive. I would highly encourage adding on the resort pass. It aloud us use of 2 different resorts, beaches and pools. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is in the Kumulani section of the Mauna Kea resort properties. I have stayed in several of these units. They are all very similar, very nice and have beautiful views. And, most of them are run by first-rate management companies . . . but not this one. When I checked-in, the first thing I did was find a broom and sweep about two weeks worth of gecko droppings off of the stairway landings below each of the light fixtures. Then it was off to the breaker box because some outlets in the kitchen weren't working. The main overhead light in the master bedroom couldn't be turned on because the dimmer switch was missing (The light was a part of the overhead fan. The variable switch for the fan was there, but the light dimmer was simply missing). Initially, I didn't worry about it, but after a few days of groping through the dark to get across the room, I emailed the management company. The replied 22 hours later. 22 hours. In general, they were not as responsive or hospitable as other management companies. The toilet tank in the master bathroom wasn't closing consistently and half of the time it kept running. I eventually got tired of taking the lid off to fix it and just started using the other toilet. By now you get the general picture, so I won't bother to list all of the issues. Then there were a bunch of policies that were generally less friendly than just about every other management company offers. 10am check-out? That's aggressive. Apple TV provided, but with strict instructions to use their account and not to login into your own. Netflix was the same deal. And, various other guidelines that were expressed in a tone that made you feel like a child staying with a someone who didn't want you to touch anything. Individually, they were all little things, but they all added-up to a feeling that you weren't really a welcomed guest as much as a necessary inconvenience that helps someone pay for their vacation home. Again, these are lovely properties and this one is no exception. If you are willing to roll with the punches a bit, you will probably be fine here. However, if you want first-rate service to go with the first-rate property that you are paying for, you might consider other properties in the resort -- even if they cost a bit more.

This condo is great. Can see the sun meet the horizon. Watch golfers make you feel better about your game. Has all the appliances, tools, utensils and beach stuff. Four TV's.

Everything was four or five stars, as advertised. Crazy winds while we were there in January shut down the beaches and golf courses, but the pleasant spacious and comfortable condo with four New TVs made for a nice place to wait out the storm. Used the resort access at Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince Westin to eat and hang out poolside. Nicely kept place.

The only critique I would give is that the bedsheets didn’t breathe very well and the bed was a little bit uncomfortable in the master bedroom. Otherwise everything was great!!

Great place! I would highly recommend getting the optional resort access as it allows you chairs/towels at the Mauna Kea & Westin Hapuna. In addition, the guard gates see you have the resort access and allow you in without any questions to the area with your condo.
