Very nice property. Well kept and comfortable. Clean and convenient to all the Honua Kai amenities. On a nice beach with access to many pools. Kitchen is servicable but if you like to cook or plan to do much family cooking ykull be looing for bigger pots and pans.

The Honua Kai resort was perfect for our family of four's needs. It has Duke's restaurant on property, ample pools, and you can jump right into the ocean in front of the resort. As for the condo itself, it was good overall. The only suggestions I'd have would be to have some basic condiments in the condo. We had to go buy our own salt and pepper; it would've been nice to have that in the kitchen. The kitchen knives are old and need to be replaced, and there are no measuring spoons, and there were only two containers for food leftovers. It would've been nice to have the kitchen more equipped for cooking needs.
There are three televisions in the condo unit, but only one is a smart TV, so we never used the tv's in the bedrooms due to that issue. Again, it would be nice to have the televisions upgraded.
All of these are minor issues, but things that other travelers might find useful.
Overall our stay was great, and we will definitely stay at Honua Kai again.

My family and I had an outstanding time visiting Maui and staying in Hokulani 836. We had so much fun we ended up extending our stay by one additional night which the fine people at Maui Westside Properties made extremely easy.
The Check-In process couldn't have been any easier. We text messaged our host upon arriving at the airport and told them we would be arriving at Honua Kai prior to the scheduled check-in time of 4:00pm. They said they would do their best to get the room ready early and would text us when we were welcomed to go into the room. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate an early check-in, and all we needed to do was check-in with the security desk at the property and use the four digit code they provided to get in the front door.
The apartment was exactly as described, and the space was absolutely stunning with the accordion style doors and the 180 degree ocean and mountain views. The apartment had everything you would need to cook meals at home except for the ingredients. You'll need to bring or buy your own salt, pepper, cooking oil and condiments, etc.
The pools were a perfect mix of play and relaxation and were perfect for my wife and I as well as our two small kids (2 and 5). Having Duke's directly on the property made it extremely easy to spend the entire day at the beach and pool.
This was the best family vacation we have had yet, and we will absolutely be back!

Great resort. Great room. You can tell they had just painted the inside when we got there so it needed to be aired out. They were paint the outside too which made me a little uncomfortable with having children in the room. The wrap they wrapped the outside table with for the painting would blow so bad at night and kept me up. I would love to go back when they are not painting.

Pools on property were fantastic for the kids and the whole family. Only issue was the dryer did not work very well, but minor issue compared to the overall unit. This is a great condo with amazing views of the ocean and Puʻu Kukui. The lanai is HUGE and the accordion doors are so amazing to appreciate the incredible Maui weather. The property has every amenity you could want, the pools are awesome and the beach is perfect for watching sunsets or sunbathing. The ocean is a bit rocky (as is much of the Maui coast), so be sure to bring water shoes if you want to swim. We do wish that there was snorkel equipment included with the beach gear, but it is understandable due to COVID. Many people were snorkeling off the beach and saw a lot of fish! We loved our stay and cannot wait to return!

There is a grocery store across the Straight and the fish market is just down the road a little further. We have stayed at this unit before. I would definitely stay here again

Perfect accommodations. All the conveniences of a resort with a condo feel. Comfortable beds to sleep in, lots of space for the kids to run around and almost everything included with the unit that you would need for your visit in Maui. The property management was very responsive to requests. On our last day our flight did not leave until the late evening and Chris was able to extend our stay (for an extra fee) until late afternoon so that we were not stranded. This worked out really well for us.
The only thing missing was cooking condiments (i.e. spices, salt, pepper, sugar, oil, etc.). This is understandable considering COVID times. If you like to cook, there is a small market in the lobby and a larger grocery store two minutes from the condo where you can find everything you would need. I suggest the nearby Maui Fish Co. for fresh fish to put on the grill downstairs. They have marinades too.
We are already thinking about another Maui vacation in June and definitely considering the Honua Kai.

This property was the best. The view to the ocean was breathtaking and the resort itself was great as well. Lots of pools, the restraunt they had onsite named "Dukes" had great dinner and breakfast. Property management staff was great, asked them for a few things sand they brought them up right away. The room was very well kept.

We absolutely loved staying in this unit and spent most of our time enjoying the expansive lanai. The condo was perfect for our family of five. We used the kitchen a ton and had everything we needed. The beach toys, chairs, and boogie boards made the trip! We walked down to the beach everyday and had an unbelievable time! We will be back!
