We had such a great week in Honua Kai. The room and grounds were better than expected! The HUGE lanai really made this room special. We enjoyed coffee and dinner each day on it. Would absolutely book this Resort and this room again!

This condo was perfect for our family. Had boogie boards, chairs, and an umbrella. Everything we could need in the kitchen as well. The oversized patio was fantastic and provided great views during morning coffee and evening wind downs. The pools were great for kids and beach was accessible. Would stay again.

We had the best time. The condo is perfect and we have a large family so we also booked the two bed/two bath condo next door. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner on the lanai. The resort is lovely - this is our 5th visit to this resort and 2nd time using KBM. The KBM staff is very helpful and easy to reach.

We stayed three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas and it was perfect! The two bedroom, two bath condo was ideal with the oversized lanai area. We had plenty of room. Some weeks we had 4 people and a few days we had 6 in our group. (The 20 year olds said the pullout couch was comfortable). The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We had many meals at Dukes’s restaurant and also walked to many of the other nearby resorts for dinner. The beach in front of the condo was beautiful and we even saw an endangered Monk seal on shore! Would highly recommend this resort during the off season.

We had a great time at the Honua Kai Resort. People watching on the massive Lanai was a blast and the kids had a great time every day at the pools or beaches nearby. The items provided in our unit was great and well thought out. You’ll have drive a very short way to get to the major shopping or eating destinations in the Lahaina area. However, if you’re in Maui you should be ready to do a good amount of driving to enjoy the island’s beauty anyways! A few minor issues that didn’t bother us much and easily fixed by the attentive managers. Only real gripe was that we wish there was just a little more parking, but that has nothing to do with KBM. Oh and someone stole our daughter’s pineapple neck pillow!
Overall I give this a score of:

This is our second time renting from KBM Hawaii and our experience from start to finish has been outstanding each time. The units we have rented from them have been clean, comfortable, and well stocked with kitchen and beach goodies. We just returned from a 2 week stay and are already looking at dates to reserve with them for next year.

If you have a family this is the place to stay!! Our unit was Konea #225, 2bd/2bth (one of which is a master). This is our second stay here but this unit was more spacious than the last (2bd/1bth). You have the amenities of a condo on a resort...what more could you ask for!! The snorkeling is fantastic. This time the place was stocked with boogie boardsand canvas carrier, coolers, pool noodles, a water ball, beach chairs and a breach umbrella. We were super impressed!! We had brought our own snorkeling gear so we were set!! We loved the on site store. They have a bunch of high quality food choices, apparel, lotions/soaps and not to forget...COFFEE!! We would work out in the morning at the gym, grab a coffee, make breakfast in our room, hit the pool/ocean and grab poolside lunch at Duke's. Duke's food was fresh and delicious!!
I can't say enough good things about this place...it's like home away from home. It's quiet, the bed is comfortable, wash our clothes and towels in the room, and the was even a hdmi cable we used to stream movies to watch on the tv.
You won't go wing staying here.

All I can say is wow! We decided to splurge a little on this spacious unit at Honua Kai and we were not disappointed. The view through the large opening onto the gigantic patio and the beautiful sea and palm trees beyond was simply majestic. We enjoyed several sunset dinners at Dukes right on the property and made use of the snorkel/mask rental shack several times. Highly recommend!

KBM provided an easy check in/out process. The only downside is that you can not charge items/food to your room when you’re poolside. It was also a little challenging obtaining the correct WiFi password, but other than that - it was GREAT! We have 3 boys so my oldest slept on the pullout sofa in the living area. No complaints from him, and the living room is big, so it didn’t feel cramped having the bed out at night. This is our 2nd time at Honua Kai and hopefully won’t be our last!

Beautiful property, incredible Condo, biggest lanai on property by far (at least from where we stood)
only negative thing to say was my 3, 6'-0" boys had a rough time sleeping on twin mattresses (first world problem!!) and the cot was even worse with its plastic pad.
Great location, very helpful staff..made our vacation very comfortable!! We will be back!

The condo and property was amazing! Not to close to people packed areas further south but close enough to enjoy it when we wanted more activity. Well furnished and well stocked. This was greatly appreciated. Staff was very friendly and the KBM system worked very efficiently. We had no problems. We had an amazing time and we were so comfortable. The only regretful part is leaving paradise and back to reality! I really loved this place. My family would stay again in a heartbeat!

This unit was exactly as described. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 and enjoyed eating our meals on the large lanai. You also don’t have to sit crooked to look out at the ocean, which was a plus. The only issue we ran into was the freezer door doesn’t open all the way as the wall is right next to it, so just don’t have anything too wide to go in there. Other than that, it was great and it was nice to have the beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards to use. Our family had a great time and we would definitely stay here again!

Sadly my sister and I arrived to a very dirty condo. At first glance it looked fine, but as soon as we started to settle in we noticed how filthy it really was. The kitchen was a mess...the refrigerator and freezer smelled like fish (the filter needed to be changed) and the food we put in it eventually started to smell too. There was grease covering the cabinets, cabinet handles ands knife block that were near the stovetop. There was a dirty food caked oven mitt in drawer as well as crumbs in the drawers. I went to store something on top of refrigerator and it had a thick layer of gunk on it. One swipe with a paper towel showed it was grease and dirt... Dinning chair cushion had food stuck to it (wiped off easy). The booster seat/hi chair was put away with crumbs and food stuck to it. A lamp shade in living room had something on it which looked like someone wiped their bloody nose discharge on it (I am pretty sure that is what it was too). The curtains have an incredible amount of staining. The carpet was not vacuumed well as we kept on finding clumps of black hair everywhere (we are blonde). The washer and dryer are stackable and even a tall girl like me (5'8") had to use the step ladder to see the settings on the dryer because it's so high. There is a full length mirror in the master which had fingerprints and kissy marks on it...It hadn't even been cleaned. Shower curtain is spare bath was stained. The tile floor grout was filthy too... We alerted the rental company right away and they offered to have the cleaning crew come back out to clean. We opted to clean what we could ourselves as we knew this was not a one time "oops we missed a couple of things". It was obvious repeated neglect. We have rented different condos at Honua Kai on three different occasions. It is a great complex, but comparatively speaking this condo falls WAY below the standard of the resort and the other two condos we have stayed in. I don't like to leave only negative so here are the positives...location was good, fully equipped (although some appliances were dirty), property manager on site, large lanai. To sum it up, I would never stay in this particular condo again and if it wasn't so busy as it was spring break we may have explored the option of moving units...it was that dirty.

Property was beautiful and the pools were very nice. We came during Spring Break so it was very crowded and chairs at pool were hard to find but I am assuming if you came at another time it would be a lot easier. So nice to have Duke’s on our property food was great and staff extremely friendly and nice. All staff at this resort were so friendly and helpful! This confo is beautiful just like the picture. We hosted friends for drinks while watching the sunset as you have a head on view of ocean. Lanai furniture is very comfy. Kitchen came in handy. Washer/Dryer were used and they had some issues but it worked out fine. This condo was perfectly sized for 4 people, ample space and 2 full size bathrooms. Will definitely come back...

Our condo was exactly like the pictures! We couldn't have been happier. Lots of room and a gorgeous view! Enjoyed the extras like the cooler, beach chairs, etc! The entire resort was fabulous! Will definitely recommend these place!!
