This is our home-away-from home in the Heart of Waikiki, at the Hawaiian King Condos, and we are proud to offer it to you. We stay here part of the year, so it is very clean and well-maintained.

We did an extensive remodel in 2017. Our new upgrades include:
o New floor tile throughout entire unit
o Addition of granite-topped kitchen island with four bar stools, new sink and faucet
o Matching granite kitchen counter
o Custom kitchen cabinets, new garbage disposal
o Matching granite computer desk
o King bedroom set with under-bed drawers, matching dresser and tv stand
o Large and comfortable couch with fold-out bed, mattress and mattress topper, along with large matching chair and ottoman
o All light fixtures and ceiling fans (2) were replaced in entire unit, wall sconce lights added, and dimming dining lights above island installed
o All walls and ceilings were re-textured and custom painted
o New baseboards throughout unit
o New toilet, bathroom vanity and fixtures, mirrors
o New artwork and new air conditioner
o Many new amenities, including Tommy Bahama bedding, new mattress covers and sheets, towels, kitchen items, drapes, rugs and beach items

This is without a doubt, one of the most upgraded and stylish units in this building. Plenty of hooks added throughout unit for hanging wet towels and swim suits. Very high-end, yet really comfortable, and well organized.

The desk staff at the Hawaiian King are exceptional. The front desk manager is David Morehouse. His name appears in many of the great reviews we have received due to his knowledge and desire to help others. The staff knows all the permanent residents and many return visitors. It is very likely they will greet you by name during your stay.

STREET FRONT and PARKING:
• Convenience store located across from hotel lobby
• Small, local bar in front of building
• Limited paid parking on street and small paid parking lot across street
• Car rental at Enterprise on same block
• Paid parking available at nearby Aston Waikiki Banyan, 201 Ohua Street (Kuhio and Ohua) for $30 a night or $110 per week. Cash only and no reservations required. No oversize SUV parking in the garage, nor scooters for non-guests. Open 24 hours a day. Banyan parking; Banyan Hotel.

• Parking on Nohonani and Alai Wai Street, first come basis

Many guests do not rent a car for Waikiki City driving because of the dense traffic. If renting a car for a day trip to outer island, you can return after hours to the Enterprise Rental car rental lot across the street. (Mention Hawaiian King to get a discount.) Also, you can rent a car from the airport towards the end of your trip, and then return car to airport when catching your outbound flight, and avoid shuttle/taxi fees. The bus is ~$2.50 to the airport to pick up a rental car.

NOTE: There is a small bar in the front of the building, along with a small convenience store. This condo is in the very back, last end unit, farther away from the bar and street noise. We specifically bought this unit because we stay at Hawaiian King, but wanted a secluded and private condo away from the street.

WHAT YOU WON’T FIND HERE:
•20-30 stories with long elevator times and many stops
•Front desk people who only know a room number
•Crowded swimming pool
•Small, 200 ft. cramped room where you constantly bump into each other and trip over your luggage

It was perfect. Walking distance today the Waikiki beach. Also perfect area of all the best shopping and dining options! We were happy we did not have to drive and deal with parking at the Waikiki shopping center. Would definitely stay here again in our next family vacation!

We stayed from Friday night to Thursday morning. The Managers were kind and helped us understand where to dump the cooler bucket and take out the trash. It was a good stay, the parking was 10-15 minutes so be aware of that. Great location.

The rental was nice, very clean and well kept. My gratitude to the owner. Location is great, walking distance to Waikiki beaches. Exterior of the building is old ( I estimate 1950s) and needs work. Noisy bar downstairs didn't help.

The place was much more Cramped than expected. The mattress was not comfortable nor was the couch. I was told we would go through the local market, not the International Market, to get to the beach. A misunderstanding and it was wall to wall people lost of the time. It was just a “just on” experience

This suited us perfectly. The condo hotel itself shows its age; it needs some painting etc. While the pool was closed for most of our stay it was because of difficulty finding a new pump. When that was completed, it was quickly cleaned up and was quite immaculate! The unit itself was updated for the most part and had EVERYTHING you could possibly need! There are some wonderful restaurants and markets nearby and it is very close to the beach. The location is fantastic!

If you want to be in the heart of Waikiki, this is a great location. It’s close to stores, restaurants, and music. It’s slightly smaller and less luxurious than the photos may lead you to believe. If you need a place to lay your head at night, this is a great crash pad. It’s well equipped with necessities.

The shower head needs replaced, small bugs crawling on every surface. The host did not reply to my emails. And the parking is an absolute nightmare and cost an extra $35 a day at a nearby hotel. Your feet were black if you didn’t wear shoes around the property and the air conditioner was not adequate for the size of the space.

Overall, the property is well maintained and very secure for vacationers/ reaidents. Our condo, was exactly what the pictures/ profile described and the owners were extremely communicative. The location is excellent! The front of building looked dated from the outside but the inside pool area was well maintained and very private for occupants. It's an easy walk to anything in Waikiki. We enjoyed walking to places to shop and eat. We didn't rent a car, which is good because there's no parking around. The building is old, and has an unusual "vibe", but the condo itself is nice. The king bed is very comfortable, but the sofa bed is, well it's a sofa bed. There were 3 in our party, so the space was fine. It was nice to have supplies for going to the beach. We didn't know about emptying the air conditioner condensation bucket, but we figured that out. We tried opening the slider door for getting the breeze in the evenings, but unfortunately, we could smell a neighbor smoking pot. The A/C kept the place nice and cool. We did enjoy hearing the night music from an adjacent restaurant. The price is great for the location in downtown Waikiki and for providing what you need for a nice stay.

We loved how close this location was to everything in Waikiki. The building is well kept and feels secure. My kids loved the pool and the roku tv. They had no complaints on the pull out sofa bed. The king size bed was very comfy. We had everything we needed and then some!

I love this little place! It doesn’t look like much when you get there but it’s perfect. It’s small but open both doors you have a nice breeze extra bonus because you’re the end unit. I felt safe there and there are quite a few people that actually live there year-round and I found them friendly and not resentful of vacationers at all! Also the Hawaii school of massage is 900 feet away! I enjoyed a 90 minute massage for a very good price! Tim was great! I think I just found ‘my place to go!’

The unit was clean and convenient to activities in the Honolulu/Waikiki area. This was our wedding weekend and the reason we came to Hawaii. The unit was very small with no room to put our luggage. The pictures were deceiving and made the unit look much bigger than it actually is. There is no parking there so it was a good thing we had no rental car. There was a noisy bar downstairs that allowed smoking and the smoke drifted upstairs. We didn’t feel very safe walking out on adjacent streets as there was obviously illegal drug activity going on. The AC drip bucket had to be emptied quite often. Still the unit served its purpose so all was well that ended well. I will choose more carefully and ask more questions the next time I rent a place on O’ahu. We did have a great time on our Hawaiian vacation. -William Taylor

Good stay. Clean. As advertised. The master bed was very firm. It was so nice to have all the beach supplies there to use. Only wish there would have been intructions about where to take the trash out or that we are responsible for dumping the bucket of water under the A/C unit, or else we would get fined. 😬 Other than that, it was a great stay. We loved how close everything was.

Everything you need is literally 500 feet away or less. The beach is like right around the corner. Tim, the guy at the front desk, the lady at the convenience store, & the residents were ALL very friendly. We had to buy very little at the convenience store cause everything was already there. Older building, but updated & safe!! Occasionally car alarms & construction but you can't help that. Exactly as described, would stay here again!! Thanks Tim!!

Don’t let the bar outside or trash receptacles scare you away from this gem. The studio we had was nice, clean, contemporary setting, quiet, spacious, close to eateries, the beach & shopping and if you forgot something, it’s sure to be there. We appreciated that so much especially the washer & dryer in the apartment. Highly recommend this location.
