My family of nine (pre-teens, teens, and adults from the US and New Zealand) had a weeklong family reunion at this beautiful house in Princeville, located in a quiet neighbourhood, a short drive from a small shopping centre and restaurants, and a few nearby beaches. It's a ten-minute drive to Hanalei with lots of good restaurants. The house is spacious, extremely clean and well equipped, with quiet deck with BBQ towards golf course at the back. There is also swimming pool and heated spa pool, which kids enjoyed. Not to forget pool table and a lot of beach chairs. Great experience. I would recommend this property for big families or family’s reunions.

The beds need to be replaced, too worn out. The hall bathroom needs some better cleaning (mildew in the shower, due to no ventilation). Couldn't use the pool table because there were no tips on the pool sticks. A couple more fans due to no A/C especially when there is a large group of people.

The house exceeded expectations - the pictures didn’t do it justice. The bedrooms were comfortable and it felt like everyone had their own section of the house. The back lanai and the pool area were great for morning coffee and all day long. Would definitely stay there again. Also the people I talked with at the rental property were so helpful and pleasant. This was a perfect house for 2 families with 4 adults and 5 kids! There was lots of room for everyone and felt very comfortable. The location was fantastic and the pool was a highlight for all the kids!

Our 12 night stay at Hale Moena was perfect for our extended family of 10. Our four grandkids spent every moment they could in the pool, except when they were playing pool in the garage. The property was accurately described regarding location, layout, and amenities. We had plenty of room for three adult couples and our grandkids. The kitchen was appropriately furnished to make any meal. The lanai facing the Makai Golf Course was very pleasant. The property was clean and well-maintained, with pool, yard, and trash/recycling maintenance performed on a regular schedule during our stay. The three adult bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, except the beds were softer than we prefer. We appreciated having a washer and dryer in the master suite, as well as a washer and dryer in the main floor laundry room, and the outdoor shower. We enjoyed many activities, including Na Pali Catamarans tour of Na Pali coast and snorkeling starting and ending at Hanalei Bay, Kaua'i Miniature Golf and Botanical Gardens in Kilauea, surfing lessons with Hanelei Surfing Company in Hanalei Bay, Garden Island Chocolate Tour and Tasting in Moloa'a, Hanalei Farmer's Market, Sunset Golf Cart Tour of Makai Golf Course, Limahil'i National Botanical Garden, Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, and beach time at Hanalei Bay beaches and Anini Beach. We had great meals at Hanalei Bread Company, Ama Ramen, The Terrace, and Sandwich Isle. We would definitely recommend this property to relatives abnd friends.

This is a great option for a large family with kids. The kids under 12 took the bunk room, and we all had plenty of our own space in the other rooms. House had a bunch of toys and chairs in the garage that we could use at our time down at Hanalei. Easy access when we arrived late and not a burdensome checkout list. Thanks Kauai Vacation Rentals!

The house was very spacious and beautiful over all our stay was great, however the house lacks towels, dishes, pots and pans, napkins, toilet paper, a broom, the hot tub in the pool didn’t heat. The wood is coming apart in the pantry and we saw many bugs.

Our family of 5 adults,3 teens, and a tween stayed in this home in July 2024. The back patio was lovely:overlooks a lush golf course, the cool breeze is constant. The kitchen is large enough and well stocked with essentials but the faucet was not working properly. Decor and furnishings are dated but not unattractive. Laundry very good. Lighting inadequate in bunk room. No dressers, etc. for clothing. There is no air conditioning-- mostly a problem in the room with the two bunks. They are large and block the windows on one side of the room so cross ventilation is weak. Also, there is no ceiling fan in that room as shown in photos. We did request and were given additional floor fans which helped. The other bedrooms had enough ventilation that they were not unpleasant at night. The main floor bedrooms are all quite small, but the upper floor with its separate sitting area and balcony are great. The TV should be moved to the sitting area from that bedroom though. The pool table is not in the house, as implied by the photo, but in the garage. The heat there was stifling most of the time. There is a nice enclosed de-sanding area with hose and shower. Biggest issue for us was the pool: it was dirty when we arrived, the cleaner, which was supposed to remain in the pool at all times, was not functioning. Since that was the reason we rented this property that was a disappointment. The agency did make a good faith effort to help. Hot tub great; pool spa nonfunctional.

Everything was amazing and as advertised. The home is very spacious and easily accommodated two families with five teenagers. I appreciated the cleanliness of the rental home. The trade winds were blowing so no a/c was no problem! The location is great! A favorite for all was watching the numerous bird species from the back lanai. I would 100% rent this home again.

House was nice, may need a deep clean, floors were dirty and sticky.. I had to sleep on the couch due to the primary suite’s bed being very uncomfortable, super soft, with zero support. Pillows are also very thick, if you have neck issues bring your own. Also pool vacuum must stay on and in, at all times, even when swimming. It was nice to have fans and it was a spacious layout. We are a frequent visitor to Kauai. This was our second stay at Halle Moana and our best. The property was in excellent shape and very clean. The magnificent view windows were I think new since our last visit and allowed us to fully enjoy the magnificent views. We will be back for sure.

This was a great home for our family not 8. We had ample space to enjoy each other and plenty of sleeping space/beds at the end of the day. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Would recommend to any large family.

You will not be sorry if you stay here! Amazing lanai with shade, breeze and NeNe's & chicken's for company. Family pool for play, great beach toys & chairs. Kitchen had all that you need for family dinners at home. Pool table in the garage for extra entertainment. Having the extra fridge in the garage was great for our Costco haul.
Lastly , the property management team is fantastic! From food / restaurant recommendations, early contact with activities to reserve early as well as quick response to questions.

Beautiful house right on the golf course. Plenty of room for 5 adults and two kids. Very quiet. We all loved the pool, hot tub, and back patio. Kitchen was very well equipped. Nicely furnished and decorated. Pool table in the garage got a lot of use. Master suite upstairs is amazing!
Just a few cons - pool was really dirty when we arrived and pool sweep wasn’t working. Took about 30 minutes to skim and get the sweep going again. If trade winds aren’t blowing, the bedrooms can get pretty warm. And some of the beds - especially the master suite upstairs- are ready to for new mattresses.
But we loved our time here and took daily trips down to the fantastic beaches in Hanalei. Wonderful place.

The home was perfect for our family. We had 8 people, and it accomodated us very well - everyone had their own space but the common area was great for everyone to gather as well. The pool was fantastic, it was deep which was great for our older kids. The kitchen was well set up with a good deal of plates, glasses, cups, etc. It was very comfortable. Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Moena. The home offered many beach chairs, coolers, etc and a great open floor layout. The location was great for all the North end towns and beaches we love most on Kauai. The kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs primary suite was nicely laid out. We would recommend a new mattress on this bed however. We used fans to stay cool in the evening. We would consider this property again on our return trip.

We would recommend this property to large families. There were a few problems that were resolved by the property management and some concerns that were told about to be repaired for future usage.

This house and location was perfect for our family celebration. There were 5 adults and 4 children, 3 to 9yrs old, and the pool was the main attraction for the kids. We also spent a lot of time at the beaches and having all the beach equipment for our use was wonderful! We would highly recommend this house and our only regret was we couldn't spend more time there!

We loved our time at this beautiful location in Princeville. The home is so nice and in such a quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of room for our multi family group but everyone gravitated to the back lanai looking overlooking the golf course. The kitchen is well stocked and we made good use of the beach equipment provided. And the pool was an extra luxury. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting Kauai.

Great family getaway at this Princeville property with pool. Great master suite upstairs with two private balconies and plenty of rooms and space downstairs to accommodate or multi-generational family. The centrally located pool was perfect for afternoon swim parties and evening relaxation.
The only reason for an okay cleanliness rating was for an unclean pool that required maintenance before we could use it, an unclean BBQ that required the same and a broken blender. Management was able to correct the issues by day two and all was well.

With ample room and great separation of space for numerous guests, open floor plan with plenty of seating, private and quiet location with a vacant lot on one side, amazing mountain views from the master bedroom and balcony, a back porch surrounded by an old growth Eucalyptus grove that gives you privacy from the golf course, and a perfectly private courtyard for the pool and hot tub, this place is a 10. This house was great for couples! Beautiful house on the golf course, pool and hot tub were perfect. The small hot tub doesn’t work but there is also an above ground hot tub that was nice at night. Garage has a pool table which was fun in the evening. Lanai over looks the golf course which gave us a lot of privacy. Overall great experience and the property manager was very easy to work with. Only downside is that you have to checkin and pick up the keys in Lihue- we were already on island so that wasn’t convenient but the manager did offer to have the keys delivered to us in princeville!

Clean and comfortable house. 5 adults and 2 children 7 and 11 years old stayed for 9 days and was plenty of space so we didn’t get on each others nerves. All bedrooms and bathrooms were fine and the large common spaces were large enough to accommodate everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hale Moena! I had seen some reviews about no A/C or cleanliness issues and it really was not a problem for us at all. We loved sleeping with the sliding doors open and the breezes blowing through. The wind was blowing when we arrived and the pool had some flotsam in it . Not being a pool owner, I called right away to ask about it and it was just normal plant material and easily scooped out by us in minutes. The responsiveness of the management team was amazing! SO FAST and SO FRIENDLY! We requested an additional fan and it was there with a few hours. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing but close to groceries and beaches. It was a wonderful stay!

I think this house has a lot of potential but it needs some updating and TLC. When we arrived the pool was filthy. It had trash floating in it. Our husbands had to clean it. The jacuzzi didn’t work for the first three days. It wouldn’t go higher than 94 degrees. They told us it was automatically set to 104 which was not the case. Pool guy arrived on Monday and fixed everything but then it still took a day to get it to a normal temperature. The refrigerator also took a couple days to reach a normal temperature. Everything inside was luke warm. There were other issues but these were the main issues. House is a great location and would be great if certain things were addressed. We brought this up to management more than once. No hot tub for 3 days and a dirty pool upon arrival deserves significant compensation. Both are the reason we rented the house. The compensation we received was very poor and a slap in our face. Not sure they care what they’re guests think. Dirty pool and no hot tub is unacceptable!

Beautiful home is a awesome area. Overall the home could use new bed pillows as we did purchase 2 for one bedroom. The others need new pillows as well. The cleaning service could be better as quite a few cobwebs in home.
Awesome kitchen stocked with everything needed for family cooking. Great management team response as the microwave went out on first day. Management replaced the next day and brought us another fan for the house.
Overall wonderful vacation home.

What a great house! We really enjoyed the courtyard entry with the pool and hot tub. The lanai with it's view of the course through the row of eucalyptus trees is a perfect place for cocktail hour. The location is great...whether you like golf, like to walk, want easy access to the market (a few minute drive), a quick drive to Hanalei Bay. The property management staff were pleasant to deal with. All around, highly recommended.

The home needs new beds, more towels for to accommodate 8. The kitchen living area are dark and situated so you don’t get the trade winds and the pool was a mess. While we arrived just in time to save the pump from burning up, it wasn’t fixed or looked at while there so we didn’t get to use the pool . Unfortunately I was disappointed.
