Property was exactly as described but didn’t expect too much more than a comfortable stay at a convenient location in Waikiki. It was clean, good security, had plenty of dishes/cookware, and questions were answered promptly and politely.

We enjoyed our trip to Hawaii greatly, and we are so grateful to have Edna as our host.
She was very attentive in every way. Starting from a few days before the trip, she sent very detail info about the property; she responded to every message we sent quickly. Hawaii chocolates and chilled water bottles in the fridge, which she kindly prepared, were there to welcome us when we first arrived.
The property itself is very well maintained, is in a very convenient location, and just a few minutes walk away from the beach.

Let’s start by stating the only good thing worthy about this appartement : It’s location, 5 minutes on foot to the Main Street.
That’s just about it.
The first night we arrived, we started noticing Cockroaches, the first ones were near the kitchen floor and on the countertops.
From then we decided to check around the unit to assess the situation and we spotted more bugs : in the dishwasher, in the bathroom behind the toilet …
We decided we would send an email the morning after.
The owner quickly answered and sent her handyman later on to “treat” the area.
A couple of days after: nothing changed. We continued exchanging emails as her employee worked around the critical areas but the situation wasn’t improving. There was simply too much of an infestation in this appartement. We took a dozen photos and videos to get some “evidence”.
We were fed up of living in such a filthy and disgusting place. We wouldn’t even let our luggage open fearing they might get in or go to the bathroom at night after one of us stepped on one the third evening! This situation has put unnecessary stress on our vacation.
She even started accusing us of making this whole thing up.
We sent all the proofs to VRBO.
This unit is a nightmare and need a serious renovation !

While planning a wedding for our daughter, we booked Edna’s condo in the Royal Kuhio.
We were pleasantly impressed by the location and ease of walking to everything great in Waikiki. The condo was set up with everything needed for a family vacation in Oahu. Both the condo description and check-in instructions were precise. Her home was clean and well appointed. Edna was wonderful, always available if needed. The building was felt safe and the staff very courteous. Looking forward to staying again next time in Oahu.

This unit had a great location that was in waking distance to Waikiki Beach and a ton of amenities. I also appreciated that it had beach towels, and boogie boards. It was also nice to have a pool and a designated parking spot.

Excellent location. Walkable to the beach and many restaurants nearby. Musubi and McDonald lovers, it’s just across the street! We frequent the international market a lot. Our luau was there. The bus to the airport or moana shopping mall is outside the property.
Edna is very attentive and quick to answer all my inquiries. She even let us do a late check out at 7pm cause our flights back was at 1030pm. That’s INCREDIBLE! My family and I was so grateful for that! That’s A customer service! Above and beyond!
It does get quite noisy at night but that’s due to the central location. The building is old so expect to see some bugs crawling.
Besides that, I am greatful to stay here since the location is so central to all tourist areas. I recommend Sam’s kitchen which is one block away for the garlic shrimp and fries. Sooooo good!
We made good use of the provided beach equipment and multiple beach towels. The swimming pool was nice and warm.

We stayed for 7 days. The property owner was very concerned with ours stay. Anything that came up she was on top of it immediately.
The location is supreme. We only had a car for one day and that was because we wanted to drive to the Polynesian Culture Center. Everything we needed was provided. Even the beach umbrella, beach chairs, blow up floats, and even a cooler. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils but we only had coffee because of the many restaurants and shops in the area.
All of the tour pick ups were only one block away.
Beaches were 10 minute walk. Zoo about 15 minutes. More shopping and dining than we could ever imagine was all within 10 minutes.
We would definitely stay here again.

We had a short stay here and it was perfect for us. Location was easy to get in and out of with a car (free parking spot HUGE BONUS) and walking to beach and nearby shops PERFECT. My kids loved the INCLUDED boogie boards and the ice chest and chairs were great as well. We didnt use the pool because our stay was short with activities during the day but it looked nice. Had a BBQ area and family room area with pool table and ping pong.

There were only three of us, but the unit can every easily accommodate up to six. One of us is over age 70, and one over age 90, so we like real beds, and these are comfortable queens.
Everything is well-stocked--kitchen, linen closet, beach toys, etc. The location is great, within walking distance of excellent restaurants and all sorts of shopping. The inclusion of an assigned parking space is also a big plus!

My family had a great visit while staying at the property. It was close to great shopping, restaurants and the beach. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. The only suggestion would be updating the paint in several of the rooms. I would recommend staying here.

We were disappointed that previous reviews never mentioned uncomfortable mattresses and the metal frame squeak when you move. The biggest problem was how noisy the condo is, windows are louver glass, plus two windows have insert air conditioners that don’t fit the whole window. Accordion material around them. They’re even a spot where you can put your finger through. You are constantly bombarded with sirens, loud motor bikes and vehicles, wind howling.
Upgrades definitely needed, shower in small bathtub, a little over a foot tall. You step into it to shower very slippery surface, nothing to hold on to. Pealing paint on bathroom door, walls need upgrading.
We couldn’t wait to leave…. Only reason we didn’t couldn’t change our flight home….

Perfect stay, couldn’t have been happier. We will definitely recommend Edna’s condo to family and friends. The location was amazing, walking distance to the beach, entertainment, shopping, & restaurants. Condo was cute and comfy. We had an issue with the shower and Edna was easily accessible and was able to get us help within minutes. I’ll add that the shower issue ended up being user error, you just have to pull really hard to turn it on.

Location, Location, perfect! Edna was available via phone when we needed a different parking as someone had parked in our asigned spot. Staff helpful. We stayed 5 days ate out 3x the rest we did our own cooking. Used the pool and laundry. It was a 3 generational stay.

Edna's cozy place was the second stop during our trip. We had just spent several days up north and the bustling vibes of Waikiki took me a bit by surprise. I guess my brain stopped working and I just couldn't figure anything out. I kept messaging Edna silly questions that I ended up answering myself anyway. Edna would respond promptly and soooo nicely. I felt terrible about all the bother, but really appreciated her kindness. The place itself has lovely touches to welcome the guests. We ended up really enjoying our nights in Waikiki. The free parking was a bonus, because we spent most of our time exploring by car: hiking in Manoa, swimming in Lanikai, lunch in Chinatown.

The owner was incredibly thoughtful and attentive to anticipating our needs and responding to any concerns we had, which was only one, and that was regarding our connection to their Wi-Fi. The building manager had it resolved the very next morning. The kitchen was well stocked and the BBQ grilles on the seventh floor allowed us some home cooked meals most days. Everyone slept so well! The beds and pillows were so very comfortable!! Anywhere you would like to go on the island is just a 15-45min drive from the property. So having an assigned parking spot for our rental car made it even more convenient! We highly recommend staying here for your holidays and enjoying the hospitality Enda provides her guests.

While in Oahu for a conference, we rented this property. It was just as pictured, and suited our needs. The property is close to the beach, shopping, and public transportation. We utilized the beach umbrella and towels that are available to guests, along with other beach items. Parking is free. Which saves a lot of $ in Oahu. There was plenty of storage for the 4 of us, with 2 closets and a dresser. I would highly recommend this property.

The unit itself was outdated. The picture showed a sofa in the front room but instead there was a daybed with a trundle. Not comfortable to sit on in the evening to relax when you are seniors . There was some kind of bug eating at the corners of the cupboards. The toilet seat did not fit properly and when you sat down there was a bang as it settled. Good location but noisy.

What a nice property. So close to everything and parking included.
There is 6 spots for sleeping (pull outbed/ sofa) so the kids loved trying each spot in the place.
Edna checked in our us and everything.
The building feels very safe as well as the location. Security guard almost always there.
Everything and More was in the kitchen. Even a slow cooker!
There are 2 large smart tv's with Netflix Disney etc so that was nice for the relaxing evenings. High speed internet is a must today which was provided.
The bad: nothing significant at all. The bathtub controls could be replaced as loose and difficult to get right. The picture lock box where the keys are located had been updated so took me a while to find it.... And the sofa /pull out couch bolts needs to be tightened as it wabbles like crazy.
Overall highly recommend and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed at Edna’s Waikiki Condo celebrating our 45th anniversary. This property served as a welcome oasis. The location is in the middle of all the action. In a perfectly secure building which included gated parking a mere ten minutes from a beautiful beach, who could ask for more. Her attentive staff was ever present; helping us with the condo’s electronics. Every question was answered within minutes. This is a fabulous place to stay in Honolulu. Edna is a peach!

The place is clean and organized. We ran into a bit of an issue when checking in because we didn't get the check-in instruction beforehand but the host was very responsive and helped us checked in. During our stay, there was an issue with water leaking from the dishwasher, even though we didn't use it, that leaked into the apartment below us. Someone came immediately to get it fixed. We didn't use any of the beach toys and beach cooler as they looked old and worn out. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

It has all the appliances needed for a relaxing stay, and it is an easy 4 minute walk from there heart of Waikiki Beach. Don’t waste your money on a high rise Waikiki hotel— this place has everything you need and more. I would definitely stay here again. 5 stars

Great property and location only a couple blocks from Waikiki beach. The only downfall is the pool is being worked on, there’s no hot tub as mentioned under amenities and you have to pay a deposit (no big deal) to play pool and golf. The tennis courts and shuffleboard are shut down as well. The property fit my family of 5’s needs. It has several different cooking utensils and the bbq grills on location are great. Edna was very attentive and responsive with any questions/needs. The check in process takes a bit to find the correct lockbox due to there being so many. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

We felt comfortable the second we entered the condominium. We needed help with the keys and Edna answered my phone call on the second ring. We were able to get the keys within 5 minutes.
Edna’s detailed instructions were easy to follow. She also gave us a list of activities near by. We especially enjoyed the box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts. We definitely would like return again to her place soon.

Very outdated, needs a good paint job. Musty smell throughout. Check in not convenient, had to get key from lockbox situated around corner attached to piece of wire fencing…. Guess and go to find which Box out of a ton of them. Many calls made to Edna. Pool being worked on STILL !
Otherwise, close to shops, restaurants and general hun/walking distance. Will skip renting again. Needed Uber from airport to condo.

What a wonderful condo. We stayed two days here and it was perfect. The condo is clean and roomy.. we didn’t rent a car because we have been to Oahu before but wanted to do some things that we enjoyed before. The bus stop is right out front!!! The International Market is so close you can walk and just a two block walk to the Famous Wakkii Beach. Edna is the condo owner and she is awesome!!! We wanted to go to Aloha Stadium for sovereign shopping and she supplied a cart to get our treasures home. At night we sat on the Lanai and watched the city lights. We would recommend this property

This was our first time in Hawaii, and I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s within walking distance of so many places and they even provided beach supplies. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed.

Our family of 5 stayed here our first two nights on the islands. We’re from the east coast and arrived fairly late and were pretty tired but the condo had several restaurants and stores really close by so we were able to grab something and just relax pretty quickly. Because we weren’t there very long, we didn’t use the kitchen except for storing luggage (!) so I can’t speak to its performance but it looked like it had what one would need. We knew the place would be small for the 5 of us (did I mention luggage in the kitchen) but that was fine for our purposes. It was comfortable and convenient and that’s what we needed. A nice start to our trip.

This location is perfectly convenient! It is surrounded by stores and restaurants! The walk to the beach took 5 minutes! It has a great city view and the corner location was quiet!

The property was fantastic and in a great location. Restaurants, shops, grocery/convenience stores, entertainment and the beach within a very short, safe enjoyable stroll. We were very impressed with the "at home" vibe of the condominium and the incredible personal touch and communication from the owner; the only way she could have been more accommodating is if she would have shown up with breakfast in bed! LOL

It's centrally located to a lot of eateries, entertainment and shopping. Waikiki beach is but a short 10-15 minute walk. Overall, it is as described. This property was perfect. If you wanted to cook there was multiple items available. It was very centrally located in Waikiki so you are able to walk to pretty much everything. The beach is maybe a 6 min walk. Having the being the parking garage is a big plus since there is very limited parking in that area. Definitely rent a car and go to north shore!! Edna is a great host and offers towels and multiple beach items like a cooler/umbrella

Wanted a last minute weekend getaway with my kids. Checked VRBO and found Edna’s listing for the Royal Kuhio. It fit our needs perfectly. The unit is tastefully decorated, clean, and includes many kitchen and beach amenities. The Royal Kuhio itself is centrally located to much of what Waikiki has to offer. My best friend and our daughters spent five nights and we enjoyed our stay. It’s a central location to beach, shopping and all the fun eating places. Will would stay again if this size place fits our needs in the future. The use of toys and cooler was nice. We shopped groceries day one and saved because this apt has all utensils/seasoning/utility for meals. The only drawback for me was the pool is drained and looks to be in need of fixing. The Royal Kuhio is vey clean, convenient and safe. we are close to everything we wanted to explore in the Waikiki area. The unit itself is very clean, spacious and the assigned garage space is a big plus. Our host Edna is the best!!!

Great stay in Waikiki. Edna was very responsive to any questions that we had. Great spot in Waikiki. Close to the beach and Ala Moana Center is walkable. Wonderful morning and evening strolls through the area. Check in and check out procedures were straight forward and free parking is a added bonus.

We liked everything. Edna was the bomb and very attentive to be sure everything was top knotch. Ron was a "Beast" as my boys stated which in layman terms is great. We really enjoyed our stay in Honolulu! Owner is very responsive whenever I had questions. Because the condo is in Waikiki, it can be loud at times, but that didn’t bother us. We were gone most of the day and so pooped out at night. The place is quite cozy. Very clean and it had everything you need in the kitchen if you wanted to cook a meal. It’s the first rental I’ve had that provided a full spice rack for guests to use. I usually only see salt & pepper if anything. There were beds for everyone in our family of 5. The sofa bed is actually a daybed with a trundle so it’s much more comfortable than a typical sofa bed. In the bedroom, there were two queens (one very very firm mattress and one softer mattress). The firm mattress was a bit too firm for me personally so my husband I slept on the softer mattress. Edna even provided beach gear—beach chairs, cooler, and an umbrella that was a life saver for us. The sun is strong in Waikiki so you need to bring shade with you to the beach. The beach is very close by. Less than 10 min walk. Lots of hops and restaurants within walking distance. I loved that you could walk to Starbucks across the street from the building! No laundry in the unit but there’s a laundry room on the 7th floor you can use. It cost $2 to wash and $2 to dry laundry. There isn’t a coin change machine as stated in description so bring quarters with you if you plan on doing laundry. Pool was under construction so it was closed during our visit. But who wants to use the pool when you have the beautiful waters of the beach so close by? I would defiantly use this place again should we stay in Waikiki!

This was a great location to be able so stay. We just had one night left on our Oahu vacation and wanted one night closer to the airport and still be able to experience Diamond Head and Waikiki beach. The room was fabulous and exactly like the listing said. The condo accommodations were great and the location was perfect. The pool was closed and not sure is that was for covid or remodel but we were going to spend our time on the beach anyway. Great eating and shopping in this area. We would book here again if staying in Honolulu.

I had such an amazing time vacation there, the place is 10 minutes away from the beach ( on foot). It’s pretty close to the Waikiki Center and the international Market place.

Wonderful stay!
I had a party of six, and Edna‘s condo had everything that we needed including that extra touch of hospitality and she had taken the extra time to really make the place feel like home. Anytime I needed her she was very prompt in communicating and also had someone on site to help with anything that we had a problem with which was nothing. Everything was great! Wonderful location, no complaints here and we would stay there again and hopefully one day we’ll get to do that. Thanks so much Anna for all of your hospitality and for the wonderful condo that we stayed in

The location of this condo is great! Walking distance to the beach and a lot of great restaurants and shops. Free parking is a huge plus if you want to rent a car and explore the island. We also used the surf board cage for a small fee. This was huge as we are a surfing family and could rent boards for the week and store them at the condo building. Edna is wonderful to work with! Very responsive and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. The sleeping arrangements were a bit tight for 3 teenagers, but Edna had a mattress delivered right away and that worked well.

This lovely well stocked condo is a short walk from central Waikiki beach and many restaurants as well as good shopping. The owner is amazingly quick to respond to any request and the staff are friendly and efficient. The condo is so well stocked that it feels like home. We spent a month there and were quite pleased. The only caveat is that the pool and fitness center are not open. One due to COVID and the pool is a gaping hole that is supposed to be under renovation . But the ocean is so near that it solves both problems. We highly recommend and would stay again!
