We loved this property! The hosts clearly have pride of ownership and strive to provide a memorable experience for their guests. First, there is an absolutely beautiful ocean view. So nice to enjoy it on the patio with a glass of wine. The home is very nicely decorated, with high quality mattresses. The kitchen was quite well stocked with an abundance of cutlery, dishware, pans, glassware. There was even a waffle iron! The furniture inside and outside was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked like a dream. We elected to purchase the Mauna Kea guest membership and used it at the Westin almost every day. We enjoyed our last dinner at Mauna Kea and saw the manta rays down by the beach afterwards. I would give this property my highest recommendation.

Some say Mauna Kea is the best beach in Hawaii - maybe the world! The stay was amazing, and having access to the Mauna Kea beach club was so fun! All the activities are included with the beach club fee, so all of us were able to snorkel, paddle board, kayak and more! It was fantastic to have access to the 6 restaurants at the two connected hotels, and the new wellness center at the Hapuna was amazing! The condo was fantastic and had everything we needed. It is on the top (2nd) floor so it has great ocean and golf course views. The home was very cozy and had everything you need. We cooked a few nights and there is a grill and great deck. It was so much better than staying at the hotel because we had space to hang out, but still had access to both hotels.

This place was amazing and we would love to come back! It was the perfect size for our family of 5. The location is so great. As someone who likes to cook, I especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen complete with All-Clad pans and lots of wooden spoons. The boogie boards and island guide book were also used a ton by us, thank you!

We just returned from a weeklong stay at this beautiful condo. We have stayed in many nice vacation rentals over the years and this is hands-down the best one we have ever rented. The photos do not begin to do it justice. It is beautifully furnished, has absolutely stunning views, has a huge lanai with beautiful, high-quality furniture, and no detail is overlooked. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and there are other thoughtful items like beach towels & boogie boards to use. And the beds are so comfortable! Its also incredibly spacious & there was more than enough space for my husband, teenage son, & myself. We felt so fortunate to stay and Eric and Polly’s beautiful home. And we cannot wait to come back!

Our family group of five adults had a fantastic stay at Eric and Polly’s condo. Everything was as described and shown in the pictures— except that nothing could capture the beautiful peace and quiet of the spot. We loved having the kitchen and space to relax, the lanai was dreamy, and the access to our favorite resorts worked as well as we’d hoped.
Eric, Polly and Wendee were all very responsive though we never had any problems, as everything worked perfectly and all instructions were clear.
A beautifully cared for condo in a fantastic spot.

The setting of this condo is wonderful with expansive views and a quiet area adjoining a golf course. The unit, however is showing signs of aging with old carpet, aging furniture and beds. The second bedroom is hardly fit to be a bedroom with a closet jammed with junk making it almost impossible to use and the twin beds were just pushed together without support resulting in the beds just sliding apart. Although listed as a two bedroom unit it is really only a one bedroom functionally unless little children are using the second bedroom. I would happily stay in this complex again but would not choose this unit unless it was renovated and added cable TV. It’s just not worth it.

The title sums it up... great views to enjoy morning coffee or sunset cocktails on the covered lanai, very quiet, nicely appointed. One note about the "communication with the property manager", the systems wouldn't let me leave it blank, so I gave it 5 stars. Truth of the matter... we never spoke with the property manager because we never had too. Aloha

We spent a lovely and relaxing two weeks at Polly & Eric’s stylishly furnished and comfortable condo. There was more than enough seating on the lanai and the living/dining areas which allowed each of us to have our own space when needed. The kitchen is well equipped with enough cookware and dinnerware to host a dinner party (which we did a few times with family and local friends). This is our third time renting a unit in The Kumulani. We love the location with its access to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna resorts, as well as the proximity to our favorite dive operator in Kawaihae Harbor. We hope to be able to rent this unit again. It really did become our home on the Kohala Coast!

This is a beautiful vacation home with access to the best beaches on the island. The condo is luxurious and the beaches are gorgeous. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. Thank you Eric and Polly!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful condo for 2 weeks and were joined by our daughter and her husband on the second week. The place was perfectly set up -- from bedroom space, kitchen and dining area, living room, and even a study nook for days that we had to do a little work. The best part of the place is the lanai. Wow! We lived out there in the mornings and evenings. Best sunsets ever! Such a vast view of the ocean.
We highly recommend this place for couples or families of any age. And we hope to come back to this unit next year!

What can we say? Nothing but good things! Eric and Polly provided a fantastic Hawaiian experience for us and our good friends. The location is ideal, the sunsets ridiculously beautiful and the condo has every amenity you could ever need! We especially appreciated the spice cabinet in the fully stocked kitchen! Polly and Eric were very attentive and responded quickly to questions we posed to them prior to our arrival. They are super hosts… we hope to visit again in the future!

This condo is part of the Mauna Kea resort. For an additional fee (well worth it in my opinion) you can enjoy the full amenities of the Mauna Kea hotel; parking within easy walking distance to the beach, towels, beach chairs, food, etc. You could get all of that at the hotel of course, but its nice to have a full kitchen, room to spread out and a generally quieter environment. We have stayed in this group of condos several times and this unit at least three times over the last 10 years or so. The condo has everything we could want, is is in good condition and was very clean when we checked in. The owners are incredibly responsive to questions and inquiries. Overall, our stay in Hawaii was superb, in no small part because of where we stayed.

This was our first time staying in a Mauna Kea condo. In the past we have stayed in the hotel but going forward we will definitely book this condo instead. We paid the extra fee for daily use of both Hapuna and Mauna Kea facilities. Totally worth it for parking, beach/pool access, all hotel guest privileges while still having the comfort of a fully equipped home. It was just the two of us and we loved having the kitchen and the space and the gorgeous view. Can't wait to go back!

This is the ideal place for a relaxing vacation near some beaches in the world. Condo was spacious, clean with well stocked gourmet kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. View from lanai was great and ideal to view the colorful sunsets over the golf course and ocean. We took advantage of the extra resort option and spent much of the time enjoying the amenities and beach scene. Beaches were deserted.

Found everything in kitchen needed for our five day stay, including quality olive oil and coffee bean grinder (guest packets of coffee provided just in case too). Love the floor plan and beautiful furniture inside and out - perfect sunset view over pond and out to ocean.
Pointers: pool rec center is near entry gate and you need an old- fashioned pool key to enter & exit the gate. - the two keys provided are on/in the entryway credenza..
We had our grandkids (4,6,9) visit for the day and they were comfortably able to hang out without stressing about damage - the place is nicely child-proofed, too. Plenty of games and we completed a 1,000 piece puzzle as well
Great find for our Kama’aina staycation. We’ve been coming to Hapuna Beach Resort since it was built but this is a first time staying in a condo. Perfect upgrade to an exquisite resort stay.

Thank you Eric and Polly for a perfect family vacation. The location is ideal 2 beautiful beaches. We bought the resort pass and strolled between the 2 hotels depending on the weather. It was always a pleasure to go home after after a day at the beach, relaxing on the terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped, with outdoor BBQ grill . There are plenty of good laundry and cleaning supplies. Eric and Polly will go beyond their abilities to make your vacations perfect!

Our family of 4 enjoyed this condo. Clean and well stocked. Very comfortable. Beautiful views. Easy access to the 2 main resorts of Hapuna and Mauna. (We paid the extra for our family to use the resorts and we highly recommend it. ). Be sure to hit Costco and Target on your way there from the airport. Great location. Hope to return in the future. My niece, Nicki, had never been to the Big Island and staying in your unit added to the beauty of the Island. Waking up to the sound of birds and coffee on your deck and looking out to the Ocean was a dream. Not-to-mention, ending the day watching the sunset. The communication with you, the owners, was prompt and answered all of our concerns. Your directory in your unit was extremely helpful. We purchased the Mauna Kea Amenities package which I would recommend to all. We used both facilities to the max. Best of all, Wendee, the property manager was MOST accommodating. She was at our beckon call as needed. Hope to visit again soon. Mahalo
