We loved our stay. The view is absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed playing games on the balcony with its table and chairs. The place had plenty of space for our family of five - we liked how the bedrooms are separated. The living room has a nice queen sized sleeper sofa. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is excellent. Close to a beautiful part of the island. Near beaches and shopping. We would stay there again.

This was our second time staying in Ekolu Village, and 1st time in this condo (and my 10th time visiting Wailea), and this is by far the most beautiful, well stocked, comfortable location I have ever stayed. The condo is immaculate and so well stocked with everything you would ever need. From beach towels, snorkel gear, coolers, beach chairs and even insulated water bottles! It makes a day at the beach so nice and relaxing. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen was a dream. From watching the morning waves to enjoying the sunsets, this view does not disappoint. Beautiful beaches so close by and great restaurants within walking distance. Shops of Wailea are a short walk down the block and there is a delicious coffee shop even closer (Akamai Coffee in the Wailea Village). Be sure and catch the local Farmers Market on Tuesday mornings in the Wailea Village and make sure and get your cookies 1st because she sells out every time!

Exceptional! The best unit by far( had multiple families staying in other units during our kids wedding week)! So well stocked, beautifully decorated, very clean, stunning views, responsive mgmt, - this unit should be featured in VRBO as a premier unit on Maui.

What a wonderful vacation! Our family had an amazing time in Maui! We enjoyed staying in Wailea this visit. And the condo was perfect, especially the view and sunsets we could watch from the lanai. We all were very comfortable and had everything we needed, we felt like we were home. In addition, Rich and Gayela were extremely responsive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you both for making our vacation great! We hope to be back next summer. Mahalo!

I would highly recommend this condo. It is just as described. Great location easy walking distance to shops. Eateries. Coffee shop and the beach. Perfect spot for sunsets from back porch. The kitchen was stocked perfectly. Easy to check in and communicate with owners if any questions needed. Would stay here again! Thanks for sharing your property! Mahalo:)

From the time of booking we had excellent communication with the owner. The apartment was spacious, clean and had a large balcony with a view. Probably the most well equipped condo I have stayed in. I would recommend this apartment to other travelers.

Well located condo close to pool and not much traffic sounds. Great view of sunsets and such.
High quality in everything. The best supplied condo I've ever rented with lots of kitchen equipment. Plates, silverware, pots, also spices and even hard liquor left from precious guests.. It is nice not having to buy everything new for short visits.
Located close to beaches as well and about 15 minute drive to food shopping and restaurants. Try the Tiki Lounge for drinks and easy food.
I wouid definitely come back to this condo next Maui visit

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in! Terrific views and location where you can walk to a coffee shop and Manoli's restaurant (highly recommended). Close by the pool too. Huge private porch with magnificent views of the ocean, we ate almost all meals out here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets soft. The kitchen was THE most well stocked kitchen we have ever rented. Thank you for excellent pots and pans in beautiful condition and for having spices and storage baggies on hand. We'll definitelt come again!!!

This was our second time staying at Ekolu Village (the first time was a unit higher up in the complex). The grounds are immaculate and the complex is nice and quiet.
The condo has a great location - closer to shopping and the beach than the prior unit. This makes a big difference if you chose to walk. Close to the pool, but not too close.
The condo was spotless on arrival. The kitchen is well stocked. There are beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and coolers available. A/C worked great on those hot days.
The view from the condo and lanai is absolutely stunning. Truly was a 180-degree view. The only con that I can think of is we had to leave.
Overall, fantastic stay for our family of 4! Thanks!

This condo was perfect for us during our 10 night stay in Maui. We are a family of 5, including 3 teen/tween boys, so space was accommodating for all of us. Everything was clean, comfortable and well stocked. All of the beach chairs, towels, coolers, boogie boards, noodles, etc., made it so much more enjoyable at the beaches. We found that to be very nice and wasn't expecting to have so many supplies. The view from the lanai was just breathtaking and we never tired of it. The sunsets were indescribable. The location is also fantastic. So close to shopping, restaurants, beaches, groceries. We definitely could have stayed here longer.

The view is spectacular, and the condo is set up with everything you need. I've never seen a kitchen as well stocked with appliances, tools and supplies; plus there are really nice beach towels and chairs, etc.. The beds were great. The hosts were friendly and helpful via email.
Unfortunately, the nearby pool was closed for repairs during our 11 night stay, and the other pool on the property is a very long walk or an inconvenient drive off site then back on site. Plus, we noted that there is NO hot tub in the pool area anyway; this is one of my wife's favorite things to do on a vacation - jump in the pool and hot tub! So we were very bummed that this was not possible here.
It's a 7 minute walk downhill to the Shops at Wailea, but to get to the beach takes another 10 minutes! And going back up the hill is an effort. So I would not say that it's an easy walk to the beach. This was another disappointment, and next time we go to the island we'll look for a place closer to the water.
Overall, we were very comfortable and really enjoyed hanging out on the lanai looking at the ocean. We had all of our breakfasts, and some of our other meals at the condo. It was a good base for us to explore Maui, particularly Wailea and Kihei.

The property is on the second floor of a condo unit with the front door opening to the east & the balcony on the west. The balcony offered an uninterrupted view of the ocean & the marvelous Maui sunsets.
The unit is older with recent remodeling. It is in a quiet community and offers all the amenities of home but within a short walk or drive of several restaurants, shopping & beaches.

This was our 3rd time visiting Maui but first time renting a condo and first time in the Wailea area (previously stayed at a major resort in Ka'anapali). Rich and Gayela's place is exactly as presented and described. We got to enjoy the "million dollar view" especially when I awoke one early morning and saw the full moon reflecting on the ocean at 4:30 am with Jupiter shining above. This was a feast for my soul. My daughter and I also enjoyed staring at the Milky Way in the parking lot of the condo complex. The residence has everything you need especially the beach items. I found all had been thought out carefully from the size of the cooler bag to the number of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. We have added two boogie boards (slightly used but thoroughly enjoyed) to the current stock in the event that they are needed. The view from the kitchen was one of the most beautiful I have seen and this inspired me to try some new baking recipes for our older kids who have nut and egg food allergies. Cooking in that kitchen with the view was definitely not a chore! We thank Rich and Gayela for communicating quickly when needed and we found Rich to be very responsive. A warm thank you to Krista (Housekeeper) who was very kind and quick to attend to our minor needs. The condo is situated in a quiet area and close enough to walk to all local amenities. I am a runner and found it quite safe (as a female) to run along the main roads and coastal trail. This trip was extra special for us as my beloved Mom passed away this past February and the last tirp we took with her was to Maui. Our family was grateful to have this opportunity to travel safely during the pandemic and in true Hawaiian culture, the "mana" (spirtual energy) of the island was healing (if you are ready to receive it). I felt the "mana" at Rich and Gayela's place as we quickly felt at home. A tip for anyone with food allergies - Tommy Bahama Restaurant (at the Shops of Wailea) was amazing (and I say this after many years of travelling with food allergies). Make sure you have a car as there are so many beautiful sights on this island and our biggest dilemma of the day was to decide which beach/vista to head to :). Thank you Rich and Gayela for sharing your home. We met many people in Maui who shared with us their Hawaiian culture and traditions and we were honored to spend time on this blessed island. Great location for many of the activities, shopping and beaches. Clean. We especially enjoyed the lanai with the amazing view. The size of the condo was good for our family of four. The kitchen is well stocked. There snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and towels. It could use a few updates to make it more attractive such as new carpet, paint colors/repainting and updating the master bedroom and bathroom. Overall, it is a great condo for a family and especially for the price, accessibility and views. It was a great place to relax in the am and pm. The owners were very attentive.

The sunset view from the property is enough to keep you at the condo your entire vacation. The moon reflecting on the water in the early morning from the same balcony is amazing! The property is well stocked, perfect location from the pool and the trash. A short drive to great beaches. We did alot of cooking and the kitchen is well stocked. Highly recommend this property for a family stay. The accommodations slept five comfortably and the views were wonderful from the balcony. The owners were very responsive and the property is better than I expected. Wailea is a quiet community with many tropical birds and plenty of options for food, shopping, golfing, hiking and beaches. Had a wonderful time.

This property is located close to a lot of shops and within walking distance to beach (as long as you aren’t carrying much). The sunsets are beautiful off the lanai!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We read the reviews of this unit prior to booking on VRBO, and it totally deserves those ratings. The unit was well furnished and equipped. It was exactly as depicted in the pictures including a great ocean view. The owners thought of every minute detail in furnishing it. The unit had beach chairs, towels and umbrellas which were quite useful in the heat.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely consider it if we visit Maui again.
