Most well stocked VRBO we've ever stayed in. Had absolutely everything we needed from the kitchen appliances and supplies, to beach towels, laundry and more. Very clean, fantastic location close to beaches, surfing, shopping, and restraunts, pool, parking and beautiful sunsets. We'll be back!

We stayed here for a week with 2 teenage children. The kids were comfortable on the pull out and it was nice that we had a bit of privacy from them with the separate bedroom. We really liked the location and easy access to beaches and many amenities like grocery and drug stores. We made good use of the beach equipment and kitchen throughout our stay. This was by far the best stocked VRBO I've ever stayed in!
The kids also enjoyed the pool when we had had enough of the beach. As other reviewers have said, the air conditioner is quite loud, but that's not unlike any window air conditioner. We didn't find the street noise a problem at all, and in fact I was surprised at how quiet the building was generally. We never heard the neighbors, which is rare in an apartment building. We did find the bedroom quite hot at night since the air conditioner is in the living room, but we made use of the fans that were provided and kept fairly comfortable.
Marian was very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay here.

We found this condo good value for the price. Had everything we needed and more. Nice and clean on arrival. Communication with Marian was A+. Close to shops and eating establishments. Would definitely stay again if ever back on Maui.

Vacation of a lifetime!!! The hosts thought of every detail to make our trip complete! Unit was perfect for 2 and very clean. The location was superb if you like to be busy and don’t mind traffic. Very busy area. Right near beaches, restaurants, food trucks, gardens, nightly activities! Whatever you want you can find from here!!!! And the price was right!

My family had a great time staying at Marian's place. She was responsive to any questions we had. Close proximity to beach and shops and restaurants.
A few items that can be improved is the air conditioner is quite loud and the cool air doesn’t reach the bedroom. Tiny bugs were on the counters and we started to plug the sink when not home and that seems to have reduced them. Im not sure if those bugs are a common thing in maui in general.

This is our second time staying in this unit and we loved it, again!! The location is perfect for walking to Foodland, places to eat and Kalama Park, as well as watch surfing and all that is happening at Cove Park from the lanai! The unit is clean, comfortable and Marian is great to rent from!! Mahalo!!

Besides being a bit noiser than hoped, this was a great stay that was right in the middle of everything in Kihei. Liked being close to the beach, shops, and restaurants all in one go. Also the included amenities for the beach (umbrellas, chairs, etc) were useful. Host was veru helpful and responsive.

This unit has a beautiful view and great location but could use an update and maintenance. Easy fixes like cleaning/fixing drapes, changing light bulbs, throw away broken items (especially beach items) no face towels… Housekeeping issues!
The appliances are nice and in great condition. Pool area is nice and well maintained. Shops below are very convenient. Kitchen supplies were great. Overall we were satisfied

The place is very centrally located in Kihei and on the island. Mariam is very co-operative and quick. Lot of utensils and seasoning s are included but please remember to bring your own ground coffee for the "drip coffee maker" and soap for taking bath.

This stay helped make our Maui vacation so easy. The place was perfect for all our needs. The location, value, and ease of access was the best part of it all. The beach and Maui Wave Riders surf rental were right across the street among plenty of food and shops within walking distance. With all the amenities and Marian providing all the info we needed, we didn’t need to reach out for anything. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

This is really a catch! We stayed here for a week and liked it so much - well equipped kitchen, nice pool and bbq area and just a short walk to shops and restaurants. A small beach strip is located just across the street, perfect when you just want to go for a quick swim, otherwise a couple of more minutes walk and you are at a proper (stunning!) larger beach where you can hang out all day.

It's hard to find anything to complain about. We had a great vacation and we were pleasantly surprised that the room was comfortable and well equipped. We made good use of the beach chairs and boogie boards. There is some road noise but it mostly disappeared with the balcony door closed. We spent a lot of time on the balcony because there was a great view and lots of interesting things to see. The pool area was great and most of the time we spent there we had the area to ourselves. We used the BBQ a few times and they worked perfectly. The location is very convenient and it's within walking distance to practically everything you could want. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in Maui. The condo is across the street from the ocean and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and food trucks. The balcony was a great place to watch the surfers, have a cup of coffee, and just relax at the end of the day. It has all the things we need for cooking(pots, pans, plates, etc.) and all the beach gear(chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, etc). It was our home away from home. Overall, we would love to stay again at Marian's place when we come back to Maui.

Great location - next to surf rental shops and the beach, again perfect for surfing (mostly). Minutes of driving from other beaches with good snorkeling and even some shade! We’ve booked the last minute, and normally go to more pricier places but we were so surprised to find the place is lacking nothing really, loved the ocean view, comfy bed and everything inside the apartment is just right, kitchen items like pans are good quality and shape! Our 7 year old loved the playground in the park, wish we knew about street hockey rink right across in the same park, would have come prepared as they have games and public roller skating! Definitely a great area to spend time, there is a great variety of places to eat, grocery shop is walking distance. Great memories and now wish we can come back some day) Huge Thanks to Marian - quick response and always to the point)

The location of the property and the view from the lanai were both incredible! We ate at the nearby restaurants a few times, and the tools we needed for cooking the remaining meals were stocked in the kitchen (including spices, salt & pepper, and oil). As mentioned in other reviews, the AC is in the living area, so we positioned a fan and kept the ceiling fans running to circulate cooler air into the bedroom—worked well enough for us, especially cooling down at night. The bedroom shades are not completely opaque, but waking up with the sun helped us get an early start on the road to Hana! Beach chairs, towels, a cooler and pool noodles were provided. We were very happy with the price, and we’d stay here again!

This is an awesome, centralized location, with great ocean and park views! The condo is well-equipped with all the kitchen gear, spices, other basic cooking items, and has beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, some snorkel equipment and other beach going things. The a/c is perfect for sleeping. Marian was great communicating before arrival and during our stay. Overall the place was clean, well kept up and perfect for us. Thank you!!

Marian's place is THE PLACE to stay in Maui. If/whenever we come back, we will definitely stay here again. For those who would like to surf, the location is unbeatable, with Kalama beach right in front (we could check the waves from the balcony every morning) and at least two well-priced rental places right downstairs. The apartment is perfect, spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you could ask for (beach gear, kitchen appliances, AC, washer/dryer, iron, you name it). My favorite spot was the balcony where we could just chill and watch the ocean. As other reviews have already stated, the pictures definitely don't do this place justice. Marian was extremely responsive and helpful. I truly think there is no better place to stay in the entirety of Maui!

Absolutely fantastic ocean front location, watch paddle boarders and surfers from the comfort of your balcony, great way to start the morning with a view of the ocean. As others have said, the pictures do not do this place justice. It is a really nice little condo with everything you will need for your entire trip - I mean everything - plenty of towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, garbage bags, zip lock bags, beach accessories, cookware, washing machine/dryer. It is very clean and the towels were even folded really cute when we arrived. You have a pretty good view of the ocean right across the street, very easy to access if you want to watch the sunrise. Lots of stores/businesses in walking distance - from grocery stores, to coffee houses, to shaved ice places, to restaurants, bike rental, etc.. Besides some traffic noise, the place was quiet and felt safe. There were a lot of cats and a few people who hung out in the parking lot at night, the parking spots are a bit narrow. Marion the host is fantastic, very nice and responsive. The price is very good for what we found on the island and the cancellation terms were very reasonable. There is an AC unit in the wall, in the living room - although we didn't need to use it much for the time of year that we went. Elevators are quick, you can easily walk out to either the front or the back of the complex. Hint, to use the dishwasher, hold it open while you press the buttons to start it - we had to Google the instructions. :)
I highly recommend this place. In fact if I were to go back, I would first call Marion to see if her unit was available.

Right across the street from the beginner surf spot in town, the cove. The balcony has a beautiful view of the ocean and specifically the cove. I would check the surf while having coffee on the balcony, walk downstairs, rent a surfboard and take it across the street. Maui dreams dive shop, my favorite dive shop on island, is also just downstairs. Also a great cafe called Joys is in the lower level of the building too. Central to everything in Kihei town. Great kitchen and living room space. Air conditioning, laundry and parking. There were also beach chairs and towels to use. Had everything I could have needed and the location was great.

The condo at Island Surf was the prime location in Kihei.
It was convenient traveling to other places because we were in the middle of everything.
Like going to Lahaina, Kaanapali, Wailea, Kapalua, Haleakala, and other places.
We highly recommend this place and location.
The owner made every effort to answer my questions and emailed me back very quickly.
We had a WONGerful Trip and will be back here for our future vacations.

My friend and I had a great stay at Marian’s condo. It’s in a great location in Kihei with a beach park across the street and larger beaches just a short drive away. There are a lot of food options nearby as well. The condo itself was just as pictured with everything you would need. We made good use of the beach chairs, cooler, and snorkel fins (bought our own snorkel masks). The washer and dryer was really useful given all the sunblock and sand on our clothes and there was laundry detergent available for us. I would say the only con is that the WiFi is a bit slow. I used my cell data more often than the WiFi because it was faster. It wasn’t that big of a deal though since we had our phones.

This is our second time staying at Island Surf and we loved it just as much with our 1 1/2 year old in tow. The location couldn't be better, it's central, close to parks/restaurants/shops. The lanai is a great place to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast and we were able to watch the surfers and paddlers at Cove Beach Park. The condo is clean and well maintained and definitely met our needs for the week. The condo itself was relatively quiet, we did not hear neighbors above or below. The pool and barbecue area are great for afternoon swims, and the pool was even heated, making it great for our little guy! The owners are very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

The place was very clean and the location is great. You can watch surfers from the lanai and it is a 5 min walk to Charley Young beach with good swimming and snorkeling. The owner was very responsive and great at communication. Would absolutely stay there again.
