This condo was just perfect for 6 adults. The views - incredible. Location was ideal to all the great snorkeling spots and wonderful restaurants. The beds were the most comfortable ever. It had everything you could need including beach supplies. The grill on the deck was a huge bonus. The property so clean accessible to everything. Right on the boardwalk. Ease of towels for beach and pool was perfect. Another bonus, reserved parking right by the elevator. We will truly stay here again!!!!!!!

Starting with the friendly valet staff and ease of checking in to the convenience of getting to the condo, paradise begins. The property is immaculate. The condo is spacious, very clean, contained everything we needed, comfortable and relaxing. But the view from each room was on a whole other level. The best in the complex. Our favorite thing to do each day was to sit on the balcony and whale watch (January to March) and then watch the beautiful sunset over Lanai. Truly amazing!

Renting this property has been very easy. Communication with property management was easy and efficient. They were very attentive to all our needs. However, this property does not sleep 8 people. There are two king sized beds and one bed that’s bigger than a queen but smaller than a king (still comfortable). We came here with 7 adults expecting a pullout sofa bed, because the listing said it slept 8 people. There is nothing but a cot (not a rollaway bed) that only a child could sleep on. Even with the cot, this unit can sleep a maximum of 7 people.
The washer and dryer are pretty much useless. So don’t plan on washing anything more than VERY light weight items (undergarments, workout attire). The machines cannot handle even one bath towel. Which brings me to the next point that there needs to be more bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths available.
The resort is beautiful and in a great location. This unit is amazing. We will definitely be back.

Spacious unit with a great view and location. Unit was not deep cleaned as promised with the high cleaning fees. We found potato chips on the floor in the master bedroom, my daughter found underwire under her bed in one of the guest room. There was dust on the furniture and bird poop on out side cushion. Also the cushions were ripped on the outside chairs . I feel this unit needs a make over. The positive thing the resort is lovely.

Konea 1029 is absolutely gorgeous. The master bedroom and bathroom are stunning and huge. The lanai, the view, the sounds of the ocean, and having a BBQ on our lanai were huge pluses. We love Honua Kai and have stayed at a couple other units, but this one was a real stand out. Thank you for the wonderful memories!!

What can I say. Working with KBM was simple, thorough and we would book with them again, for sure. Our vacation started on Sept 21st. Three couples, in their 60's stayed in unit 1029 which is on the top floor of the Konea building. We are all easy going but I'm sure even a discerning renter would not find any fault with the unit. The condo was absolutely gorgeous, very clean and with an amazing full view to the ocean and the island of Lanai. The grounds are beautiful and Duke's Restaurant, on property, was wonderful and not as highly priced as I expected from other reviewers. Go for Duke's Happy Hour. We had several appetizers and a couple of drinks and some days that was all we needed for dinner. The bacon mac and cheese is so good and I'm not terribly fond of mac and cheese. Can't wait to go back to Honua Kai. KBM Hawaii makes sure their units are cleaned well and stocked with everything you will need to have an enjoyable stay. That is not always the case when renting directly thru Honua Kai or from another manager. Even the bell hops, when we told them we were in a KBM Hawaii rental, had very positive comments and said we would be all set if we had rented thru them. Can't wait to back, hopefully the same unit. The views at this property are fantastic. I was quite disappointed with the property itself. The furniture, rugs and various fixtures are old, have stains on them and just not anything what I expected. The lighting fixtures even had stains on them. Who knows from what. It bothered me so much that I placed sheets over the couches. The location is great its just the unit itself needs a significant upgrade.

We arrived late in the evening to the condo and had an incredibly easy check-in process. Overall we enjoyed great amenities, easy beach access, and stunning views of the sunset from the Lanai in the evenings. We had 5 adults, and the 3 bed/3 Bath was perfect. We would definitely book this resort in the future!
