Kealia beach is Kapaa's premier surfing beach. The beach is most often used by experienced surfers. Kealia beach faces east and is quit subject to wind swells. On calmer days it is possible to swim or boogie board at the northern section of the beach, where a sea wall has been built and offers some protection against rougher waves. There is a lifeguard and restrooms, and the Kapaa bike bath runs past the beach. It's best to check in with the life guard before swimming here..
