Honua Kai was a great property for our family (mom, dad, 5yr old, and 7yr old). The pools, beach, bbq's, Dukes, and nearby shave ice were all we needed. The condo had everything we needed and more (life jacket and floatie for the kids). The bed was super comfortable and the pullout couch was perfect for the kids. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the sunsets over the ocean visible from the lanai and the many pools and waterfalls at the resort. The accommodations were modern, clean and comfortable and the pool/beach towels were easy to get from the automatic dispensers (activated by waterproof, electronic wrist band available in different sizes after checkin). This unit is on the quiet side with views of gardens and monkey pod and palm trees in addition to the ocean. Our unit included beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Communication with owners was great when needed. We would stay here again.

It’s a great condo with a nice corner view of the ocean. We ate all meals on the lanai. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment. I loved the small touches like a drying rack, liquid hand soap in the kitchen & bathroom, bin for shoes & laundry basket. All appliances were working well. Jill and Terry are accessible and easy to contact. Great time in Maui… thanks!!

I was stereotyped from booking process, won over owner (rightfully so), checked in after check in time to a condo that was not ready. Offered to come back, over an hour later, condo still not ready. 6, 4 and 1 year old kids were cold wet and left to wait in a hallway! Terrible!!! I work in hospitality and this was unacceptable!

Overall, very nice room. It was clean, plenty of space, and the outdoor deck was expansive. We didn't have the 'greatest' nights sleep as the bed was kind of hard, but for most users, I'm sure it will be fine. Property is extremely high-quality, we would stay here again. Thanks!

When we arrived we were greeted by Judy and Michael who were accompanied by two absolute cuties (their puppies), Angelica and Kalua in lei's. Imagine that!! This alone would have won our hearts if it were not for the delicious banana bread waiting for us in the fridge. The Red Ginger studio is clean and super cute that walks out to the backyard. My bf and I spent every morning just staring at the banana trees and several others in the little patio while sipping our coffee. Judy and Michael also have ton of beach gears that you can borrow and the place is pretty close (~10 min drive) to kailua town. Overall, my bf and I absolutely loved the place and we miss Kalua and Angelica coming to snag some petting/loving from us every time we went out or came back. We would definitely book the property again if in the area.

We had a wonderful time at Jill and Terry's condo at the Hanua Kai, both their condo and the property were incredible. It was exactly as advertised, no surprises. The Hanua Kai is definatley a top notch resort with a great pool and right on the beach. The condo was was very nice to hang out in, exactly what I was looking for to make my famiy happy during our vacation. It was clean and comfortable and they had all the extra's: snorkel equipt, beach chairs, child beach toys, condiments...... Also, the room was close enough to one of the elevators and since the parking garage is below the condo, it made things conviniet for us. Finally, the owners were very responsive and on top of any questions we had which was a plus when hearing about some of the experiences our relatives had elsewhere on the island. Mahalo Jill and Terry, still wish we were there.

This condo is a great find. It is located in the beautiful resort of Honua Kai right on Kaanapali Beach. There is no need to leave the property if you don't want to. It has a great pool, nice beach access and even a general store and coffee bar/bakery. Duke's restaurant is also on the property and makes delicious food all day. It was the best Duke's we have eaten at. There are a few in Hawaii and this one is by far the best.
The condo is very nice and has all the comforts of home. It even has a good supply of beach items you can use. It was great being able to borrow beach chairs instead of purchasing new ones.
I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay on Kaanapali Beach. The resort was top notch and the condo was even prettier than the pictures!

A very well equipped condo unit in a luxury condo building with several pools & play areas for the kids. Duke's bar&restaurant is a nice feature of the property, as is the gourmet shop in the adjoining building.
In close proximity to the beach & ocean and at one end of a long beachside path which extends South & goes by all the beach hotels & several restaurants, it affords a nice 1-2 hour walk/jog(depending on pace).
Service & support by the owners & resort staff was excellent. It is very close to shopping. All in all a great location.

Our family of 4 loved this suite from the moment we arrived. Jill and Terry have provided everything for the perfect vacation. The suite is lovely and on the quiet side of the building. Our favorite part is the expanding doors that lead to the lanai where we sat every night, ate dinner and watched the sun go down. We were lucky to meet Terry and Jill while we were there and found that renting through them was so easy and met every expectation. In fact, we are going back very soon....can't wait! Thanks Jill and Terry!

This condo is beautiful. Felt like home but even nicer! Everything was clean, there were actually condiments in the frig, boogie boards waiting, a couple nice beach chairs, snorkeling gear . . . way more equipped than what some of our friends rented at the same condo through a company! Would definitely go back!!!!

This large one-bedroom is in immaculate shape and has all you need to feel at home. We loved the quiet and private location of the unit, and Jill is a super professional and responsive owner - she made the entire process so easy. The little extras in communication and the unit make a big difference for enjoying your vacation!

We absolutely loved it! (1st time for VRBO) The unit & the view were exactly what the pictures showed on the VRBO site, so no surprises here. Jill was excellent to deal with & led us through the entire process with ease. She helped us with things far above & beyond what is required for renting someone’s unit. The 1 bedroom was huge and so very spacious for me & my 2 daughters. Nice to come to a place and have it be not only be spotless but also to have amazing quality finishing. It was very well appointed, from the furnishings to the granite counters, comfy King bed, double sinks & an extra-large separate shower stall in the bathroom. All the extras like the boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkelling gear, cooler and sand toys were a major plus. We especially loved the huge lanai with the floor to ceiling accordion doors. It was very relaxing, after spending a hectic day in the sun with the girls to kick back on the lanai and watch the sunset. It was especially nice to have the park next door as the park was very quiet but it added to the sense of green space.
We love to stay busy, from boogie boarding & snorkeling to making our way around the island for all sorts of activities. On the days when we didn’t venture out we had absolutely everything right at the Honua Kai. Many pools, hot tubs and also great snorkeling at the awesome beach right in front of the hotel. The girls loved the waterslide & lazy river too. One of our favourite restaurants was the Mixed Grill in Lahaina which is very casual & also extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend renting from Jill & her husband.

I highly recommend this unit at the Honua Kai, Konea building. The unit is on the quite, shady side of the buildiing. When you rent one of the 1 bedroom units it is important to check the size of the bathroom as some are much smaller with just one sink and shower over tub. This unit has 2 sinks and a separate shower which is important to us. Jill and Terry were very easy to work with and always answered any questions quickly and made the rental process easy. The unit has a few extras such as boogie boards, chairs and sand toys...also comes with some spices and condiments. A wonderful way to enjoy Maui!!!!!

The suite at Honua Kai was perfect for our family of four. Gorgeous location, lots of supplies/toys provided for the beach, and the kids (aged 3 and 6) loved the pools at the resort. Jill and Terry were excellent to deal with and we will happily rent from them again should we get the chance to go back again. Highly recommended.
PS. If I can make one small suggestion, perhaps having a few extra blankets for the pull-out bed would be great.
