This is our second Thanksgiving that we have enjoyed #G304 at Makena Surf. You simply cannot beat the location and view. The sunsets are beautiful! We love the beach so close. When we weren’t at the beach, the grounds are also lovely and we spent time at the pool and walking around the resort. The condo floor plan is perfect for our family and we enjoyed fixing our meals and playing games together. We will hopefully be back one day for our third stay!

Fabulous location and beautiful condo. Loved having 3 bedrooms for adults and teenage kids. Balcony views were priceless. Easy access to beach and snorkel. Loved the quiet and private location away from the crowds. Easy drive to dining and excursions.

Wow is an understatement! Where do I start?! This place is AMAZING! The condo sits right on ocean with a spectacular view, like others said, the pictures don’t do it justice !! It’s also a place where the boats come with tourists to snorkel to see turtles (we saw so many turtles!) it’s so beautiful and fully stocked with all the necessary items such as beach chairs, ice chest, big beach towels, one beach umbrella etc. fully stocked kitchen and the bathrooms were very nice! It has three bedrooms; one king, one queen and two twins. Wish the queen bed was a king but it was still great. Side note for twins to be pushed together for king you need a mattress strap conversion kit (very inexpensive on Amazon) and it works great !
The condo has a little beach right below and large beach about a five minute walk to other side of resort! It has two pools (one was closed for refurbishing we used the open pool and it was lovely) Truly no need to leave the grounds! You will spend all your time on that balcony it’s practically Heaven!!! So roomy we even held corporate meetings there. It made work feel like fun! The condo is three flights of stairs up but I feel that’s a major plus because of the view! But if you have anyone who can’t do that many stairs it’s good to know in advance. We were a family (my husband, myself our grown children, their spouses and two grand-babies one year and two and a half! It was perfect !! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful location. We saw whales from the lanai in the morning and snorkeled with the green Turtles from the beach in the afternoon. The sunsets are breathtaking and best enjoyed with a glass of wine.

A return trip to Makena Surf, Wailea, Maui. Beautiful waterfront property. We have stayed here several times and the condo is exceptional, with all the amenities and comfort of a five star facility! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai, the breathtaking sunsets every evening and the amazing whale watching. We are ready to make our return plans.

Combined the owner, the resort & the condo management team set the gold standard for condos in Maui. The condo sits at south end of the resort and has 3 BRs and 3 attached bathrooms & 2 well equipped lanais (a large, full length oceanfront lanai & a not much smaller, ocean view lanai on the north side of the unit off both the master & large second bedroom). The furnishings, appliances & kitchen amenities are clean, up-to-date & everything you will need for up to eight people. The condo building is equipped with a quiet central A/C system. The beds are comfortable & provided with pillow options. Finally, the unit has small safe for your valuables. The resort has two adjoining sandy beaches: a very small one below the condo & a very large one at the north end of the resort. In addition, the resort has 2 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, & 4 tennis courts, immaculately kept grounds, and is located near shopping, hiking, sightseeing, golf & snorkeling. (One of the best regional snorkeling spots is located right in front of Building F. Recommendation: snorkel early in the morning before the waves build up.) Finally, some things about the condo management team, Ali'i Resorts. The condo floors, towels, bedding, etc. were spotlessly clean when we arrived. Importantly during our one week stay we never saw a single one of Maui's all-to-common bugs or ants. Ali'i's informational guest book & instruction sheets were comprehensive, clear & helpful. Ali'i reps followed up with us upon arrival, during our stay & prior to our departure to ensure that everything was okay. A final note, we made all our booking arrangements directly with owner, Patty. She was easy to work with, very responsive, & provided useful information prior to our arrival.
Unfortunately, this Makena Surf does not have 1 BR units; otherwise, my wife & I would have preferred to stay at Makena Surf for our second week on Maui after our children and their families returned to the mainland. You can't do better than Makena Surf condo G-304. Oh, and what sunset views!!

The property is stunning. The view is the first thing that will take your breath away. I would definitely stay here again. If you enjoy snorkeling you will be happy to find that the reef is just a short swim away with turtles guaranteed to be seen. Everything was clean, the kitchen was very well appointed for cooking meals including an amazing grill, and the unit offered beach necessities such as beach chairs and coolers. Only thing to be aware of is there are no beach umbrella and if you are coming with a baby as we were you will need to either rent or buy items accordingly for sleep as there is no pack and play offered. Also this unit is on third floor and no elevator. Aside from those minor things to be aware of I would still recommend this unit without reservation.

Our family of 5 adults stayed for over a week…we could not have asked for anything. Every night we were blessed with a beautiful sunset. The condo is totally equipped..beach chairs,cooler, kitchen pots and pans, towels,etc. The resort staff was very responsive….many extra amenities like fresh towels every couple of days….would definitely recommend.

The photos online of the balcony do not do this particular unit justice. It may very well be the best view in South Maui. At night, you don’t see any city lights, just a totally natural and beautiful view of the crater and uninhabited nearby island, from the massive patio. The entire complex is also meticulously maintained. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is a third floor unit, so if folks in your group have knee troubles, problems doing stairs, etc. you may want to look elsewhere. Patty, the owner, is very helpful and great to work with!

The condo unit and premises are better than any picture can capture. For my family of 5 (wife and 3 kids, ages 7, 8, and 11) and my mother-in-law, we were very comfortable in this 3 bedroom/3 bathroom with a pull out couch unit. The view overlooking the little beach from the main lanai was amazing. Additionally from there you can see Molikini and the most amazing sunsets over Lanai. Our kids could stay with us on the (two) beach(s) or go to one of the two (heated) pool(s) and hot-tub(s) as the premises were easy to navigate. We snorkeled around the point from the little beach to see pristine coral heads and the resident turtles. The interior features of the condo unit were upgraded and very comfortable. We ate in as much as we went out. House keeping came on the 3rd day to drop off new towels and did a full clean on the 6th day. The location was quiet and safe! All the neighbors, whether owners or renters were very respectful. You didn't need the AC on due to the perfect weather and while sleeping in the primary bedroom, we fell asleep listening to the waves crashing at the little beach. Parking was convenient. Being on the 3rd floor offered the best views (the stairs are minimal). Plenty of beach chairs to use at the unit. We added a boogie board to the mix. Though we did plenty of typical Maui activities like catamaran snorkeling, road to Hana, sunrise at Haleakala, private fishing charter, shopping in Lahaina, Paia, and Wailea, I could have just stayed on property and chilled for the entire 8 night stay. We all had a great time and will definitely return to Maui...hopefully Makena Surf G-304 will continue to be available! Thank you Patty...you have a special place in paradise that you shared with us...and thank you to Ali'i resorts for making our stay simple!

We just finished our second visit to the Makena Surf, and we're already dreaming of coming back. G-304 was an ideal home for our family of five adults and one toddler. Everyone had their own room and bathroom, the whole place is quite child-safe (with good carpeting so his early-morning walking around didn't bother the people downstairs), the beds and seating ae all comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and, best of all, the views are world-class, from dawn to spectacular sunsets to wonderful star-watching. Two beautiful beaches are a short walk away, and there are enough good beach chairs for everyone-- even a toddler. The tennis courts are as well-tended as the lush gardens, The general vibe of the place is low-key, quiet, friendly, and mellow, and both owner Patty and management company Ali'i are helpful and responsive. Makena Surf is a find, and Patty's unit is one of the best in the whole place. I can't recommend it enough.

If possible the pictures and description of this unit do not do it justice. The condo is on the 3rd floor, right on the water and the view is gorgeous. You will not want to leave the two lanais but if you do there is a tiny beach right under your condo we used for kayaking and snorkeling, a beautiful pool, impeccably kept tennis courts, and another larger beach all steps away. The grounds are so lovely and staff attend to the plants and facilities constantly. Much time and thought has been taken in decorating the unit and everything you need is there for you. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities and supplies for cooking as well as a gas BBQ on the lanai. The owner, Patty, was extremely easy to work with beforehand and very responsive with emails and questions. I can't wait to go back!

We loved our stay at this beautiful condo. The three bedrooms with dedicated bathrooms worked perfectly for our family of five that included three teenage girls. The view is world class and the two lanais meant we could enjoy the sunshine for the entire day. There are a handful of things we particularly enjoyed: (1) having the beach chairs and beach towels provided; (2) the easy proximity to Chang’s beach (which we used much more than the larger beach which was further away); (3) the beds were ridiculously comfortable; (4) having the grill on the lanai was great; (5) there was both a “drip” coffee maker and a Keurig; (6) the snorkeling was fantastic (as others have noted) and we saw lots of turtles swimming in the very clear water.
We rented an umbrella, boogie boards, and a paddle board from Auntie Snorkel. There is a grocery store in the Wailea Village which clearly caters to travelers as many items were available in small sizes for any cooking you might do (olive oil, pancake mix, etc.) and it was wonderful to be able to sit at the large table on the lanai and eat dinner.
I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation, a beautiful location, and a first-class condo. Patty was very easy to deal with and very attentive. You can’t go wrong here.
