Low electricity output affected ability to use air conditioner, VERY slow shower drain, uncomfortable sofa, broken dresser, gross moldy windows were hard to open. Didn't get checkin info until 3 hours after I was on airplane headed to Maui. Would pick somewhere else next time.

This location is perfect for snorkeling along the coast. We were close to beaches, restaurants, and stores. The patio was our favorite place to enjoy meals. The furniture wasn't top quality, but it was just fine for the price range.

Look elsewhere. We only needed 2 nights, and booked as such. We received the confirmation but then 2 days later the owner, John, contacted us and abruptly told us we needed to pay for an extra night because he said he had a -3 night minimum stay. Deep in his booking policy it stated this. We only needed 2 nights but because Maui was fully booked, and our airline changed our flights extending our trip by 2 days at the last moment we had no choice. we paid the extra night which went unused. I now see he has a 2 day minimum posted.
Issues:
-on day of check in we still did not have the check in info from the owner. Had to email John. Other reviewers have had same issue, he always says his all email can go to spam. It didn't, he just hadn't sent it.
- when we arrived after check in time the unit was being shown by a realtor. Had to wait for them to leave.
- !!! The room says sleeps up to 6. Don't believe it. 4 maximum. we booked for 5 people but there was only bedding for the main bed and 1 extra set which we used on the sofa bed. Emailed John and he said he’d contact the cleaning service. Bedding never arrived and 1 of us slept on the vinyl futon without bedding for both nights that we were there. John never apologized or offered any credit. he didn't care.
- the unit is renovated poorly. AC never worked well. No hot water in mornings. Dryer didn't work. odd layout. only 4 can eat at two small tables. Drapes old and stained. Old building. This was a bad end to our 2 wk Maui stay.

We had an amazing time at John's condo. The sunsets were beautiful, as were the numerous rainbows. It is in a great location with beach swimming, even though it says closed, a nice pool and activities. I highly recommend this place. I would suggest fixing the patio door as we couldn't use it, but there is a 2nd one. The instructions for the TV were not right and the ice cube trays need replaced. Also parking is a pain, but manageable, there was no number given to park underground. We tried and were unable to get a hold of owner the entire trip until the day we were leaving. A bit disappointing but nothing major, so better communication would be nice. We thank you for sharing your beautiful condo, we absolutely enjoyed it and all its amenities. Highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you

Before I divulge into the negatives, there were some positives. Good location and view from balcony.
There are WAY too many negatives so I put in bullet points.
• POOR communication – instructions to check-in were sent AFTER check-in time AFTER I had to call 3x.
• “Welcome gift”- trash bags, dishwater detergent, and cheap coffee. Definitely felt unwelcome. Only 2 bars of cheap hotel soaps provided. Luckily my husband and I bought our own toiletries.
• Clogged shower – had to turn water off/on to avoid flooding. Called maintenance, which took 2 days to fix! Called/ texted John to let him know we were worried about using the shower as it was partially flooding and maintenance had not taken care of it. John didn’t answer/ check-in with us directly EVER, instead the next morning he had sent an email to maintenance (which I had already contacted on my own). This was a HUGE problem the first 2.5 days of our stay given that fact this was a beach vacation and showers were necessary! Apparently the resort had public showers (which John never told us about), which we found out on the last day of our stay because we needed a place to shower before our red eye flight.
• I asked for late check-out a couple of days before, which was declined due to other guests coming in (which is fine of course). But John didn’t even know which day we were actually checking-out and when I tried to confirm the actual date that he had wrong, he responded with “Yes. Sorry. Have many things going on…” Yes John, we all do, but this is YOUR rental, YOU should know these simple things.
• NOT 5-star reno – couches were tattered. Lot of scratches/ dings on the walls. Cushions had tears with stuffing coming out. Curtains had large stains on them (gross!) and unravelling at the edges. Faucets had grime build-up.
• Poor A/C – kept moving the portable fan to circulate the air (esp in the bathroom as there is no exhaust fan).
• No laundry detergent – bought our own
• Dead batteries in remotes
• Snorkeling gear- bad condition, bought our own.
• Kitchen- poorly stocked. NO grill or oven. There is a microwave convection oven.
• Cleaning service- walked in WITHOUT knocking or ringing the doorbell BEFORE we had left (after I specifically asked them not to)!! I texted John to let him know this happened and, of course, no response.
• Not a swimmable beach.

The location of the property worked well for us and the best feature was hearing the sound of the surf through the window at night. The place is in need of a cosmetic lift. There were lots of dings and scratches on the walls, the leather ottoman was tattered and torn, and the place could just use a little love. Overall we enjoyed our stay and once we had unpacked it made it easy to overlook the small stuff. There were a few things that needed attention. There was a maintenance number provided and the company was quick to respond and very pleasant to work with.

My wife and I stayed at this property for a week on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! The condo was very clean, spacious, and cozy. Stunning views and sunsets can be seen from the patio. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well.
One other thing to note is that the location is very prime for all of the nice less-trafficked beaches and local snorkel spots. We really liked the feel of this area vs downtown Lahaina which is very overcrowded and the beaches are very overcrowded as well.
We would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice getaway in Lahaina! A+++ Mahalo!

Nice Condo with plenty of space to enjoy and plenty of basic essentials if you plan on cooking a meal or two.
The view is really nice too.
