My wife and I stayed at Al and Amanda’s property for 5 nights as part of an anniversary vacation. We only wish it could have been longer. Everything was exactly as advertised in the listing. The property is ideally located with good access to both the north and south ends of the island. The unit itself is beautiful and everything we wanted/needed was there. Al and Amanda were very responsive to all of our questions before our arrival and the room was ready early on check-in day. If we ever get the chance to head to Kauai again we will definitely be staying here again. There is a shade tree on the beach waiting for me.

Everything about our stay here was absolutely wonderful! We will definitely come back to stay again. It’s a beautiful, clean, quiet condo in the perfect location. We liked that it was ground level and close to parking spaces. It’s an easy drive from the airport to the condo with everything close by~groceries, coffee, shopping, restaurants. My personal favorite was waking up, getting my cup of coffee (I had set to auto~brew the night before) and walking out the back slider to the beach every morning to watch the sunrise. A peaceful way to begin each day~ coffee in hand and my toes in the sand.
The owners were fantastic! They’re very helpful and responded so quickly to any and all questions. We explored different areas of the island everyday. This central location made it very easy to go on all of our adventures.
Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We had the best time celebrating our 25th anniversary!

I have to start out by saying that Al and Amanda ...hands down are THE best hosts I have ever encountered! Communication was great! And very friendly,generous and helpful. The condo was more than I expected... beautiful and SOooo comfortable! I went solo but I could tell this would be the perfect place for small family... with toys and boards...games... snorkels everything you might need or want PLUS this unit is pretty much fully stocked with spices and condiments ...it also had coffee and Sheila the cleaning person left such a nice welcome gift. All in all I felt MUCH ALOHA from renting here and cannot wait to come back! 5 stars all the way!!!

Our family of three stayed here for a week very comfortably. It has everything you would need to enjoy an island vacation including beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, pool toys, and cooler. It was so nice to be able to walk from the patio to the pool in a few seconds. We would definitely stay here again.

I wouldn’t change anything about our stay! The property is as beautiful! Our Condo was clean. I loved being on the main level and the kids could walk right out to the pool area. We used the beach chairs and cooler that were supplied multiple days. The kitchen was well stocked and had all of the basic necessities that we needed. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Al and Amanda's condo. It was very clean and had everything you need including beach equipment. The resort was very well maintained and the kids loved the pools and slides. The Oasis restaurant is also recommended and the concierge service was super helpful in booking excursions. Also very convenient is the Safeway just across the street. We would love to come back again!

This condo is spacious and nicely furnished. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for any meals you might prepare. Bed is extremely comfortable, and the two baths very nicely decorated and convenient. The location is ideal being close to the pool entrance, the beach, and the on-site restaurant (great food and drinks!). Also no units on either side of this one. Parking is very close. Plenty of beach toys for sand and surf. The resort location is right across from a shopping center with a supermarket, and just down the road is the Coconut Marketplace with additional dining and shopping options. The hosts responded quickly to any questions, and were great to deal with both before and during our stay. Our experience could not have been better. If we return to Kauai we would love to stay in this condo again!

The location of the unit within the resort was perfect! It’s poolside but not noisy at all and conveniently right near the restaurant and spa. It’s spacious and immaculate.
The bed was very comfortable!! The most important piece of furniture on any vacation as we want to rest as much as possible.
It felt peaceful and the ambiance of the resort was beautiful! It’s right next door to a steakhouse restaurant called “The Bull Shed” which has become out favorite place to eat on Kauai! The hosts were amazing. Awesome and clear communication with so much Aloha. We will definitely reach out to stay in their unit again when we return.

Waipouli beach resort is the perfect place to stay while in Kauai. It is located in the east side of the island and can access both north and south easily. All the stores and restaurants are just a walk away.
Al and Amanda are the perfect host and their unit is exceptional and perfect. The unit has all the accessories from beach towels, chairs, snorkels, washers, dyer, air container, toilet papers and more. I can go on and on, but I let you find out for yourself. There is also a restaurant to the left next to the beach, just a few steps away. There are also multiple pools and jacuzzi’s. I was a little sad not to utilize all the wonderful amenities in the resort, while staying, since our days are fully plan to the brink.
We will definitely stay again in Al and Amanda’s unit in the future. Will I recommend there place to others? Absolutely! Communication with Al is very detailed and informative.

We rented this unit for a family getaway and the condo did not disappoint. Well stocked in the kitchen and extremely well stocked for fun in the sun with beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, sand toys, snorkelling gear etc. (the most stocked unit we’ve ever rented!)
The grounds of the resort are immaculate and we enjoyed the morning sun rises over the ocean from the beach attached to the resort and the pool and hot tub were great for us and the kids!
The location of this resort made it easy to travel to either sides of the island as the location is central and not to mention close to the airport, pharmacy, Coconut Market, grocery stores (Safeway across the street)and restaurants.
The property manager is very responsive and very easy to deal with. They provided recommendations when we asked and they have an awesome assortment of books about the sites in Kauai that we used throughout our trip.
We appreciated the ground location of this unit as it was easy for loading in the kids and our beach bags after a long day out sightseeing and the location was great for accessing the pool and bbqs etc. The ease to and from this unit was an unexpected bonus and we loved the location for our family.

The condo was very nice and well equipped. The owners were very accessible and helpful. The pool is right outside the sliding door and the ocean is a few steps away. The unit is on the bottom floor and a walkway goes right by the slider so if you sit inside to watch tv or drink coffee you will have people walking by glancing in at you - that is just an fyi. Overall we were very pleased with the unit and it is super close to restaurants and shopping. The sunsets were gorgeous every morning. We got home yesterday and I'm already missing the ocean air and swaying palm trees.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing stay. The unit was spectacular and made us feel at home the moment we stepped inside. It’s perfectly adjacent to the pool, steps from the beach, and the Oasis restaurant on site was fantastic (they’re sea/farm to table). We had a wonderful time at this family friendly resort. The pools are amazing and set up well for kids. This condo is located maybe 2 to 3 steps from the gate to the pool and a very short distance from the ocean on the first floor. Al & Amanda have been amazing to work with. They are very friendly, super responsive, and wonderful hosts. We will be back!

It might sound cliché but it was home away from home! Condo has absolutely PERFECT location : it is in the middle of drive to the north and south. Also, Safeway , Wailua Shave Ice, Tropical Dreams Kapaa ice cream across the road, bunch of small restaurants and stores within walking distance. Coconut Market place is 5 minutes drive. Sleeping Giant trail, Ho’opy falls, Lydgate beach (great for snorkeling and safe for kids) within 10-15 minutes drive . Condo has everything you need to feel at home: fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator, washer/dryer, a lot of towels, beach cooler, beach chair and even toys for children to play at the beach. I liked lanai looking at the resort pool. BTW pool is HUGE and there are three jacuzzi. Very good restaurant and bar , Oasis on the Beach, about 100 feet or less away ( no need to count drinks or have designated driver 😉) There is a front desk at the resort, where you can rent bikes, beach chairs, and even toys for children to play at the beach. We rented bikes and biked on the biking path and enjoyed views of ocean. We had no issues with parking, which was free. Communication with the owner was breeze . Instructions how to get to the condo were very clear , and we had no issues with the access. Al & Amanda replied within a couple of minutes to the text messages. We definitely recommend this condo to anybody who wants to visit Kauai. Great resort, great host, everything you need is there. Just relax and enjoy. Thank you again!!

We stayed here for a month with a toddler and a child under 10, and it was an ideal spot for us. The kids had some space to play on the lanai, and we were 10 steps from the pool entrance, 30 steps from the beachfront. They regularly made friends at the pool. Being across the highway from Safeway was incredibly helpful, especially because midday traffic can get pretty serious. Being located in Kapa'a made it equally easy to day trip to the northern and southern parts of Kauai.
If you're really sensitive to noise, you might want to consider these things: facing the pool means that you can hear pool guests in the evening if they're being particularly noisy. FWIW, it was rare in our experience—it only happened one night in the whole month we were there. The bedroom is close enough to the elevator that you can hear some gentle whirring when it's being used. These things didn't take away from our overall experience—the unit and complex were surprisingly calm even during the peak of summer vacation season—but I think it's useful to consider these bits depending on your vacation expectations.
The hosts were great, gave us all the relevant details as well as some extra tips for enjoying our stay in Kauai.

This unit was home away from home for our family. The location makes it easily the best spot on the premises for pool and restaurant/bar and BBQ grill access. Unit is impeccably clean and equipped with beach gear, beach towels, and cooking utensils etc. Sleeper sofa was very comfortable for our 2 children, and the spacious kitchen and bathrooms are my favorite features at Waipouli!
I cannot say enough how helpful and responsive Al & Amanda are! The very definition of Aloha Spirit! Looking forward to booking with the Ohana again soon!

Beautiful, about 50 steps from the beach, beautiful outdoor pool.
We were surprised to learn that we had to launder the towels, since there was a large cleaning fee. This was our first VRBO, so that could be standard practice.
A suggestion I have for the owners is for them to come in and bleach the white towels, as they had a musty, sour smell.
The owners were excellent in their communication with us, all throughout our stay. Overall, we recommend the property.

The location (Kapa'a) is excellent if you want to do outdoor activities on Kauai. The unit location is very good - step right out of the lanai to the pool area, or walk a hundred feet to the beach. The pool has a very interesting design with both waterfalls and a secluded grotto. The unit was clean and well maintained. Check-in/out instructions were clear. Our family enjoyed the stay very much.

We had an amazing time at this condo and we didn’t want to come home! This condo is centrally located to everything there is do to on the island. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. This condo is beautiful with a full kitchen. The pool and beach are just steps from the patio doors. Very nice accommodation with good access to food, shopping and most part of the island, perfect for non summer months as it is close to south side beaches which are better for winter. Right on the beach, we watched the sunrise quite few times. The whole Kauai is a dream vacation, and if you are an active experience seeker, this is a great place to stay.

Enjoying the last morning before my flight, having coffee on the beach which is just steps away, this has been a delightful week. The unit is very nice, well set up and directly across from the pool. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Really appreciated the unit owners advice and instructions in accessing the island. My family in another unit here shared a van to travel to some adventures during the week. Across the street finds grocery shopping, Starbucks and the ABC store…the basics of life! Took advantage of the Spa by the Sea for a lovely day of pampering. The Oasis serves an amazing Mai Tai. Definitely looking at making this an annual retreat.
