Located on the 3rd floor, on the cool and quiet side of the building, RK308’s large lanai with a table and seating for 4 with direct access from the bedroom &; living room, invites you out every evening to enjoy a sunset cocktail (and juice mocktails for the little ones) as you end your day watching the sun set over the water and horizon. Hearing the local conch shell blowing signaling the sunset, makes you reflect on another beautiful day in Paradise. Brand new sleeper sofa located in the living room.

This one-bedroom, fully air-conditioned condo boasts a recent renovation revealing its rustic beach boho decor. The condo comes equipped with all the amenities you will need for a relaxing vacation, including free wifi, a full cable package, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, and an ice chest for outdoor activities.

The granite-covered kitchen countertops grace you as you prepare your meals while on vacay. It is stocked with every possible gadget for that gourmet meal.

The queen sleeper sofa invites you to sit down after a day at the beach and chill before heading out for dinner. The spectacular views from the sofa ensure you do not miss the whales breaching or the honu floating by. The queen sofa bed in the living room is great for the kids or second couple on your vacation. There is a full dresser in the closet for the living room guests to place their belongings during their stay. Immerse yourself in a blissful night’s sleep to the sound of the soothing ocean on the king-size mattress in the bedroom. Most nights, you can keep your window open to sleep with the sounds of the ocean billowing in.

The Royal Kahana Resort Condominiums are located in the beautiful sun-soaked shores of West Maui, centrally located between the Kaanapali and Napili-Kapalua resorts, in the quiet community of Kahana, and includes such amenities as a fitness center, concierge services, and ping pong in the building.

Outside amenities include a shuffleboard, a large, heated ocean view pool with many lounge chairs located pool side and on the grassy grounds. The poolside sun deck has both sun and palapa shaded areas as well as barbecue grills to cook up your day’s catch.

In addition, there are restaurants in a short walking distance, including Dollies Pizza Pub, Miso Phat sushi, China Boat, Maui Brewing Company, and McDonald’s. As you head a quick 5-minute drive to Napili, you have the amazing Joey’s Kitchen, Fond eatery, and Mammas Ribs. Lots of unique island grub to fill your foodie self.

*Beach information
*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes and swells that influence the beach & physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it's not uncommon that these currents sweep away a large amount of sand that gradually returns in spring & summer, based on the ocean’s current activity and our island weather pattern.

This circumstance affects our guests' accessibility to the beach—the front desk posts daily on beach access status. When the resort access is closed, public beach access is within 5 minutes walking distance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and mahalo nui for your understanding.

*Resort Notice: A resort-wide spalling repair is underway, and they're working on various lanais around the resort until at least July 2024. Noise may be heard on the property during working hours M-F: 9 AM- 4:30 PM. Rates have already been discounted to reflect this impact. Posted 8/23 and updated 1/23/24, 1/28/24.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit has a very nice ocean view. Upon entering I did notice a bit of a musty smell. The sheets on the bed were so damp they were almost wet. A couple things broke while I was there and in my opinion this unit needs a thorough maintenance update. Several drawers in the bathroom and kitchen do not open since they are obstructed by millwork or the kitchen stove. The doors to the washer/dryer do not close all the way as they are obstructed by the washer/dryer. Windows and sliders are difficult to open and close and the slider is difficult to lock. They are aluminum and could stand a replacement. The trim around the windows needs to be replaced as there are rust stains on it and it is in generally rough shape. The unit is cute in the pictures, and also cute in reality but the overall rough shape of the unit detracts from it's charm.

It was very reassuring to know that you could reach someone at any time for assistance. We were very happy with the condo location, appearance, cleanliness, and general condition. It was just what I was looking for in a getaway and looked just like the online photos.The lanai overlooking the ocean was perfect and listening to the gentle waves while watching for turtles offshore while drinking our coffee started the day out just right. The condo was fully stocked with dishes, linens, pots and pans, and we were very happy with all of the beach items that were available for our use. There are several great beaches nearby with good snorkeling and several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. We stopped in Lahaina for groceries on or way to the condo but there is a grocery store nearby in Napili. After we checked in, the property manager reached out to us to make sure all was well and to let us know they were there for us. All and all, we had a perfect trip and look forward to staying in this lovely condo again soon! Mahalo

We are so glad we booked this condo as it almost felt like you were in the ocean when you walked I. The door. Unfortunately there was a storm in Maui we were on the island. This made us appreciate have a really nice place to hang out during the downpour. Mahalo for a great stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in condo 308 for 16 days in February. I’ll try and give you the pros and cons.First off, you are in Hawaii!!! Absolutely spectacular view from our lanai. Almost everyday we could see whales from our lanai. Nice table and comfortable chairs on the lanai. You could not see the sunset from the lanai. We would watch the sunset down by the pool. Also, no sun shining on the lanai in February. I love the sun and my husband likes the shade. I spent a lot of time by the pool. Fantastic view of the ocean from the pool area. Plenty of lounges and chairs to sit on by the pool. They also had a few tables and nice grills by the pool. Condo has beach chairs, cooler, toys, and beach towels. Kitchen was stocked with the basic necessities. If you like to cook, you will need to buy spices. The kitchen could use potholders, chip clips and a scissors. The condo was clean when we arrived and nicely decorated. We appreciated our host leaving us coffee and Mauna Loa chocolate macadamia nuts. There were hard water stains in the shower and bathtub from people not cleaning up after their shower. We have hard water at our lake home. I use vinegar, dawn soap and a magic eraser. The stains will come off but a lot of scrubbing at first. If older adults with mobility issues are staying, be aware there is no hand rail in the shower. They have three elevators in the complex. The entrance to the complex is ramped. They have a ramp to the pool area and a pool chair to get in and out of the pool. The mattress was comfortable. Pillows were flat. Nice closet and plenty of drawers. We didn’t use the tv in the bedroom. Living room tv was great and sofa was comfortable. It was usually windy during our stay. This was our third time to Maui. Great location. I would definitely stay at this condo again. Hope this review was helpful.

This condo was wonderful. It was clean and had everything we needed during our 9 day stay. The condo has been updated and had all the amenities we needed. Parking and check-in were easy. Condo is located within walking distance of several restaurants which we walked to on occasion. My daughter walked over to Hawaiian Trade coffee every morning. Drive down to Lahaina was quick and easy. The pool and beach at the property is very nice as well. I picked this condo for my wife and 18 year old daughter and didn’t get a single complaint so very satisfied.

A beautiful place, very clean room with a magnificent view over the ocean to Molokai, nice to sit on small balcony and watch the early light hit the clouds. Unfortunately our stay was one day short to due to a cancelled flight from Hawaii Airlines. The fee was nonrefundable and we hope to recover it from the airline. We will see. No quick response.

Even had a locker for the SUP we rented. Beach out back goes both ways for short walks. Comfortable bed, complimentary shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Loved hearing ocean, especially at night. Only downfalls were thin, lightweight sheers on windows & doors (that had them) allows bright adjacent condo lights in at night. The dining windows & one bath window don’t open so minimal cross ventilation when AC off. Bedroom windows challenging to slide.

The rental agents were so easy to work with and once we were checked in any questions were answered in a promo and kind manner . My husband got very sick during this trip and had to transported to hospital by ambulance . The property managers assistant was so kind to me . Even went so far as to offer me a ride home from the hospital which was an hour away . Also checked on me the next day to see if I needed anything . If I were to rate this place on a scale of one to ten I would give an eleven !!!

The pictures accurately represented the condo. The kitchen was maybe a little smaller than it looked, but we cooked 95% of our meals there and it was fine. The cookware and utensils were great.We never got tired of the view from the balcony.

Our room was beautiful and the property is very nice with pool and small beach right in front. The view from our unit was outstanding and faced northwest, so we got cool breezes and not the hot afternoon sun. A few more oven pots and tuperwares would have been nice. Our check in was delayed because of a flight cancelation, and texting with the property management company was a little wonky- we are not big texters and would have preferred to speak with someone- But this is just a personal preference. Most people seem to love texting. A special bottle of wine, cookies and chocolate were left in our room because of the arrival inconvenience. Bed was very comfortable for us. Huge TV was nice, bit we didn't use it much because so much to do. We did use the BBQ's a few times.

The view is worth the price alone! Nice updated furniture makes for comfortable views of the ocean or enjoy the balcony and the wonderful cross breeze. Only thing would maybe update tub/bath and shower curtain for a more overall enjoyable experience. That is the only thing though - beautiful unit!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location. Given the length our stay (22 days) we liked the amount of space in the unit; no need for mirrored walls. Photos give an accurate description. Lots of drawers and closet storage space. AC was out while there. Thoughtfully, two portable ac units were provided, but we didn’t use them. North exposure and excellent cross ventilation is all we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and unit was clean and in good condition. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view and whale watching from the lanai. Best restaurant finds: Fond, Betty’s Beach Cafe, Honu, Mala Tavern, Beach House.

A Very nice and clean well maintained ocean front apartment. Great host response right away if you have a question. We will definitely come back. I wish they fix the AC so we don’t have the hear the noise from the portable AC.
